Great dive shop for rentals. We go diving on the weekends occasionally and this spot has been awesome for that. The location of the store is very convenient and close to a lot of dive sites. I bought the rental card which gives pretty good discounts on lots of gear options, and so far it's been a good investment - particularly if you're local it's a good place to fill or rent tanks. They also have scuba diving trips which seem cool - I'll update my review if we end up going on one of those. read more

They have all the toys and the staff is delight to work with. An excellent Shop for maintenance and repair of my regulator and console as well. read more

I just have to give a shout out to Luis, one of the instructors/ guides at this excellent dive shop! I needed help getting acclimated to cold water diving in New England, and was lucky to get Luis as my private guide for multiple dives. He is very patient, safety-oriented, positive and has taught me lots. He also manages to find interesting critters on every single dive! This shop has the kind of quality instructors that you want to continue your training with. read more

Buyer beware: Returned an item literally within 10 minutes of purchase. Was charged a 6% "fee". This is blatant theft. I called around other shops in the area and seems like this is the only dive shop that does this. Honestly better make your purchase online. If you feel you need to promote local honest businesses there are plenty of honest dive shops around the area who care about customer experience. Oh they showed me the fine print on the receipt to show me that they had mentioned the return fee. If the disclaimer is on the receipt which is produced post transaction how is that a valid disclaimer? We also returned the product because we found that they did not offer the bundle price that was advertised on the products page. Guess greed has no bounds to a point where you need to deceive your customer. There are plenty of small business dive shops around the area who do not charge 6% transaction fee. I have reported this store to the consumer bureau. I have also reported the store to scuba pro, Teric and all other brands they carry. read more

All the employees at Undersea Divers are helpful, friendly, and attentive. I took the Advanced Open Water class over the summer and it was fantastic. Shawn is the best. I've also done several recreational dives (locally) with the shop - it's just like diving with friends. read more

I absolutely love this dive shop. I came here as a new diver and they were amazing at helping me figuring out the next steps on my dive journey. The gear they have is great quality and I loved my BCD and wetsuit that I rented on the dives throughout the summer. Whitney has built such a supportive community of divers in Rockport! read more

My son and I recently completed our open water certification down in Florida. This was due to impatience more than anything else. From the day we did the Try Scuba, through picking out our gear, and attending the class and pool sessions, Undersea has been tremendously helpful. Our class sessions and confined pool dives with Larry had Dan (my son) and I more than ready to face any questions that our instructor had for us down in Ft. Lauderdale. Picking and fitting our gear with Shaun had us sure everything would fit comfortably and work well. We both went into our open water dives with confidence and felt fully prepared. We are both looking forward to continuing our diving experiences here. read more

Thanks to USD I'm officially a certified PADI scuba diver! The class they offer here is great. I always felt like I could ask questions or reach out to the crew if I needed help. For our open water dives we went to pebble beach and back beach both in Rockport. Whitney, the owner, is very friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. I've also noticed the workers remember almost every ones name who comes into the shop. If you're looking for an amazing place to jump into the world of diving or just looking to get some gear or tanks filled, then this should be your new go to. 10/10 would recommend this place a hundred times over. read more

Undersea Divers - Scuba Diving Near Me - Danvers, Massachusetts

Staff is extremely helpful, and it is relatively cheap to rent from this little dive shop. Esp. if you are planning on renting more than once from this place, I highly recommend getting their frequent renter card, which will give you a 50% discount on every rent. The fact that this place is on the way to Cape Ann and Gloucester when coming from Boston, makes it extremely convenient to pick up your gear and get on the road again. read more

I have only ever had great experiences at Undersea Divers. 4 years ago I got my Open Water Certification (PADI) and 2 years ago I completed my Advanced Open Water certification. Everyone there, from employees to other local divers I have met at dive society, have been nothing but welcoming and friendly. The dive society is a great way to get more experience as a new diver and meet other local divers / make new dive buddies. As a more experienced diver going to dive society, its a good way to constantly improve your skills through frequent diving and helping newer divers. They have a knowledgeable and experienced staff. Able to answer questions, provide suggestions, without ever feeling like they were trying to push me just for the sake of selling me something. I did one of their group trips to Bonaire and it was the best vacation of my life. Everyone on the trip was very nice and despite not going with a friend, I had a great time and never struggled to find someone to hang out with for a beer or meal. read more

Huge thanks to Whitney and Undersea Divers for helping us get our son set up with gear for his Scuba Week at Boy Scout Camp! Whitney took plenty of time to educate and discuss options with two newbie parents and one excited teen. Now the only question left is when can the parents sign up for a class!!! read more

A friend and I took the PADI training course at Undersea Divers in the fall. For the classroom portion of the course the instructor read verbatim from the prepared slides and wasn't very helpful in answering questions. In the pool portion of the class he just seemed to want to get it over with as quickly as possible - he didn't take the time to explain anything and left everyone a bit confused. At one point, he lost patience with my friend and pulled her out of the pool by her tank (she's petit) without warning. It was a pretty bad experience getting training from this guy. I stuck with it but my friend started over with her certification at another dive shop and had a great experience there. Happily we're both certified and have gone diving with wonderful divemasters in Vieques. But I regret getting certified at Undersea Divers. read more

I have wanted to get SCUBA certified for a long, long time and finally bought a living social deal for the husband and myself to learn from Undersea divers. Larry was our instructor and failing was not an option with him. We had a great time and can't wait to explore the underwater world now! We went into the store multiple times before the training to look at and learn about gear and Whitney was always so helpful and patient and friendly when dealing with us. We never felt pressured and she made sure everything we ended up getting was a perfect fit. By the end of it, we felt like regulars at this family run dive shop. Highly recommend them! read more

My wife, daughter, and myself just finished becoming certified with the help of Undersea Divers. From the start we made it difficult for them because we had a small window of time to get it done and we all wanted to do it together. We were fit into a classroom/pool dive class and an open water dive weekend. Whitney (the owner) accommodated us and we got it done! read more

My scuba buddy and I got certified last year at Undersea Divers in Danvers, MA. The training is great, this IS serious stuff, but it's the people at USD and the welcoming feel of the place that keeps you coming back. From the owner and staff, to the other divers that attend the organized weekly dives and photog meetings, this place feels like a big family. I'm looking forward to being a member of this scuba family for a long time. Great shop! read more

Been there for repairs in the last couple of weeks and the staff was great. Really friendly and very helpful. Had a broken BCD inflator hose repair, repair guy checked out and 5 minutes and $10 bucks later I was all set. Amazing. They also were really helpful with showing me what they had for my new GoPro. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this dive shop and the staff. I purchased a Livingsocial deal to learn to dive and Shaun, the instructor, has been fabulous. I ran into some issues with my ears diving and they have been super accommodating. Small shop with people who clearly care about their customers and diving.... read more

Awesome shop, awesome people. When I was certified a year ago, I decided to buy all my gear right then and there. Shaun and Whitney set me up with some great deals on used equipment, and took the time to help me pick out a new BCD. Every time I'm in the shop, the entire staff is nothing but helpful. When I decided to get spring straps for my fins, they switched out the original ones for me. When a book on coastal marine life I wanted was out of stock, they made sure to let me know when they'd have more in. And when instructor Bob led my advanced certification class he was very accommodating when I slowed things down with my questions and gear adjustments. Their Dive Society is great for getting dives in when you don't have a regular buddy, and for meeting other divers of all ages and skill levels. And their new location in Danvers is huge, with tons of parking and so much shiny gear to look at. I could go on and on but if you're thinking of getting certified or just need to buy gear or get tank fills, I have had nothing but good experiences with Undersea Divers. read more

I went here today and had the worst shopping experience of all time. Everything was way over priced and the people were not helpful. The cheapest wetsuit they would sell me today was $600. Everything they had could be purchased online or anywhere else at a fraction of the price. Please do me a favor and never go/purchase anything from these people. read more

their shop is littered with rental dive gear, they will loan you nearly for free smelly wet suits, and then just be nice to you. Their get to know scuba is just messing around in a pool (warm though) for 45 min. and they explain what it will be like. mah. if I learn to dive, it might be with them. read more
