I've been a customer of Atlantic Aquasport for over 20 years, and without a doubt, they are one of my favorite small businesses to support! My husband and I got our Open Water Certifications from them years ago (their on-site pool makes classes so convenient!), and more recently, our 12yo son completed his certification with Don and team. The instruction is top notch. All of the classes were 1:1 and tailored specifically to our needs and comfort level. We all came away incredibly confident divers, which is the best measure of success. Anytime we're on a trip, the dive master always comments on what a skilled diver my 12yo son is. I swell with pride every time I hear this and am so thankful for the great instruction he received, as it will help keep him safe in the water for years and years to come. As an added bonus, Don lets my son borrow equipment anytime we go away to ensure he's using the same equipment he trained in and therefore as comfortable & confident as possible. As soon as my son stops growing :-) we will buy our gear from Atlantic Aquasport. But until then, being able to borrow equipment has been a huge cost saver and convenience. My husband and I have purchased all of our gear from Don and couldn't be happier with the quality, selection, and support we get even after the sale. My regulator has a lifetime guarantee from Don. It had a problem Don couldn't fix (likely from years of being jostled around by baggage handlers across many airports) and Don replaced it free of charge, no questions asked. My most recent experience with Atlantic Aquasport was going on a Saturday morning dive with them to Nubble Point. Despite having logged 500+ dives, this was my first New England dive and I loved it! The crew let me borrow additional gear to ensure I'd be warm enough, conducted a thorough safety briefing, and guided me on a really fun dive that surpassed my expectations for what I'd see in New England waters. This past summer we had our kids (11 & 13) trained and get certified in diving by Don, Barb and the Atlantic Aquasport team. It was such a wonderful experience. They focused on comfort and safety in the water which was a terrific approach. We went on a family diving trip in Grand Cayman in Feb 2024 and the dive master said the kids' abilities, training and ease in the water was unlike others they've had on their boat and that they were very well trained. He acknowledged that after being in the water with us for a few minutes, he said to himself, "Oh, this will be an easy dive." So we were looking for a shop that had a complete set of gear for us to rent while we were diving in the area and we found this great place tucked away in a tiny strip mall/residential area. Luckily the tons of kids and parents outside trying on gear gave them away and we were able to park quickly and pick up the scuba fins we needed. The BF quickly ran inside and apparently they give great deals to UNH (University of New Hampshire) students as they tossed him a pair of great fins and let us borrow it for the day without any charge! When you walk inside, it's clear that they have a VERY large selection of gear for both rent and for purchase. The whole building is lined wall to wall with some great stuff so if you're looking for a place to buy/rent, this is your scuba shop! They also said that they recently purchased the gear out of another scuba shop so they have an even larger selection and i"m sure they'd be up for striking a deal! read more

I was very apprehensive to learn how to dive and they addressed every concern I had. We found Atlantic Aquasport when we were looking to buy a particular brand of wet suit (Waterproof) that wasn't carried in any of the dive shops around Boston. So we figured it was worth the 1-hour drive up to Rye to check out this shop. We're so glad we did. First and foremost, Don is a gem. He is truly dedicated to doing right by his customers, and he will work with you until you are completed satisfied. He carries only quality merchandise, and if he doesn't have your size, he will readily order whatever you need and even mail it to you if you live far away. When we couldn't find a size that fit me, Don did not hesitate in taking back the wet suit that didn't fit and issuing a full credit, and he made sure that my husband got exactly what he needed.
