The prices are high and the custom service is mediocre as well as they are only open some of the time. Can't say I recommend.

For anyone that has never shot a handgun before...you can get amazing results in just one class!!…read more The class I attended, consisted of total beginners (like me) and more experienced/actual hand gun owners. Best thing to do is to call when delivery is made to make sure. I used this as a transfer once a while back and they don't have text or email updates when your transfer is ready which would have been nice. I also went here recently for just the TLC shooting qualification. The instructor Mike was really helpful walking through the process. For people that are less experienced in the range they will get taken care of and instruction if needed to keep the range safe. I did have to listen to an insurance sales pitch even though i did take the full class here. But that just seems like a norm these days.

IME, it is best to get work done after the hunting rush. Wait times get worse the closer you get to fall. Apr through Jul is usually best. I had a pistol Cajunized in the busy season and it took a little over a month. I took one in during mid-Spring, dropped it off at 11, and had it done same day by 4:30. The DA/SA are so much lighter and crisper. I have Cajunized one myself, so I know what is involved. It is surprisingly hard to find gunsmiths with experience Cajunizing, or with CZs in general. I guess it makes sense, they are far less common than Glocks, M&Ps, etc. I have had smiths tell me they do not work on CZs, or they say "we can do that, we'll figure it out," which is not comforting. Each time I came in, the associate at the counter brought me to talk to a gunsmith. He knew the order the parts go back in, that some jobs like the mag release are easier when everything is already apart, and that you have to remove the front sight pin to replace the barrel bushing. The sear cage is a nightmare to get back together, so I'm happy to outsource it. It's clear they do a bunch of them here, so it takes less time than me installing it or a smith doing it for the first time.
