I came to visit here last night for the first time last night & I was surprised how quick we were able to start our game with how busy the front was! They offer snacks/drinks, if that's something you need when you get there. We picked our club & ball & started the course. Upon entry, the setup was very cute, very western style. (I didn't take enough photos because we were having too much fun). Some of the holes had you spin a wheel & do what it landed on. Which was a great addition to where we even went back to spin it again for the course ahead. Overall, this whole experience was really fun & a cute idea for a date night or even to just go with friends & family. They do offer a birthday room, which we seen on the way out. My second visit here (first time was when Acme had just opened in 2023), this time as part of a teambuilding outing for work. It was indoors and underground and perfect for a rainy day group activity! We actually parked at DOCO for lunch and it was an easy walk to Old Sac. It just so happened to fall on May the 4th so there was Star Wars music the whole time and themed lights. Also some Cinco de Mayo decor along the course as well. We did the full 18 holes as three separate groups of 4, staggered, pencil scorecards. The theme is Gold Rush and the gal giving the intro spiel was really into it. You're starting from Missouri on your way to Sacramento, gathering supplies and surviving the journey with hopes of striking gold. Rules (no big swings, play thru) and putters/balls provided. Each part of the course had detailed murals and props to make it feel immersive. Examples include longhorn cows, snowy pine trees, wagon wheels, TNT dynamite, a saloon, a jail, even the river itself. Some holes had spinner wheels which gave bonuses or handicaps. Hole #1 had temporary obstacles (buckets) but that was the only one. Some holes straightforward but others challenging to complete in less than 3 strokes. Overall a fun activity. Good luck going for a hole in one! Par for each hole ranges from 1 to 5 depending on difficulty. Always neat to roam the historical Old Sac underground city sections. Since you are underground though, phone/data signal might be weak, keep in mind if you need to add more time to metered parking via an app or something. The rest of this week they have Cinco de Mayo, Revenge of the Sixth, and Mother's Day free photobooth session. They do have upgrades and different pricing for adults, seniors, kids. We came here as a party of 6 for a bachelorette party about a month ago. The theme of this course is so fun, and the underground vibe makes it extra fun and dramatic. The employee ( I wish I remembered his name!) was so awesome and helpful. He gave us a great spiel, in character, about the course and the "journey" that we were going on. A whole lot of fun and really immersive!! Maybe some of the holes could have used more obstacles but overall they did a great job! I will say some of the turf needs to be cut into an actual circle, and not a square. But again we had a great time. read more

We were in the Old Sac area for thr St. Patrick's Day parade (and my birthday) After having breakfast at Steamers nearby, we had a little time to kill so we decided to play a round of mini golf. The guy working the front was pretty cool and explained all the rules to us before heading inside to putt. The course inside is set up nice as it has that Old Sacramento western feel to it. There was a big group ahead of us who were nice enough to let us pass them so not to hold us up. It's definitely a good spot for dates, groups, etc. Glad we checked it out. read more

I took my fiancée here for a surprise date and as a Sacramento adjacent native I'm surprised that she had never been. We both like to go mini golfing when we have the time so we figured we would true out this cool spot. Right in the middle of downtown Sacramento there's a little hidey hole basement mini golf. We were greeted and given a fun story about how we were traveling to Sacramento in the middle of the gold rush to get us immersed in the course. It seems like a small space but there are plenty of obstacles to make the course more than meets the eye. There are 18 holes, each themed with a different part of the journey to come enjoy the gold rush. The staff here is extremely nice, helpful, and answered any additional questions that we had. Definitely look forward to making another trip back! I would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to do anything in downtown Sac other than shop and eat! read more

Imagine our surprise when we stumbled upon this "secret" venue while taking a stroll in Old Town. It was our date night and this seemed like an easy way to spruce up our evening. We headed down the entry stairs and were greeted by a very friendly gal at the ticket booth. She answered our questions, sold us the entry, and then told us a dynamic tale (seriously! And her narrating was superb!) before we "departed on our journey". The facility has a full 18 holes. I think what makes it interesting is you zigzag through what seems like old underground hallways, meaning you never know what you'll find around the bend. That part was fun. It was also fun to be able to spin the wheel at particular holes in order to add challenging twists to the game. My husband and I had a great time, especially since the game was quite close and the winner unpredictable. However, my only complaint is that I wish it were a tad more challenging. We expected to spend about an hour playing (per the employee at the front), but we were in and out in about 40 minutes. Fun little place to visit in Old Town. We were in town visiting our kiddo who goes to Sac State. We decided to hit up Old Town and do a little touristy shopping etc. But we wanted something fun to do. This fits the bill. The staff was very friendly and the intro story they give you is very cute. I haven't done mini-golf in years. Being inside, down below street level when it's almost 100° outside was nice! There are 18 holes and they go pretty quickly. Nothing too challenging, but definitely fun. It's kind of a hidden gem being on the far back street of Old Town, but there is signage. We definitely had our share of laughs. This is a cute spot for mini golf in the heart of old Sac. It's appropriately gold rush era themed. It was a little under $20/adult and the two of us got through the 18 hole course in 50 minutes. My first time in an indoor & underground mini golf. Pretty cool concept. & a nice way to escape the Sacramento heat! (We were there in the summer months). The holes are pretty straightforward, nothing crazy or different except for the occasional spin-the-wheel & add a sort of handicap to your turn (e.g. attempt your first shot with your eyes closed). Also, it took us more than half the game to figure out that the PAR for each hole was listed on our scorecard the whole time?! Would be nice if it was posted at each hole like it normally is. & then the holes themselves I wish were a little more complicated like more with ramps or multi-tiered or something! This is a cute experience and good date night idea. Came in on a Friday with a group of six and we did feel pretty rushed as there were a bunch of people playing behind us. The ambiance is what you expect in old Sacramento, very old school and fun. It's very straightforward mini golf and the holes are close together. My friend and I were bored and wanted an activity to do on a summer Sunday afternoon. We decided on Underground Mini Golf because it would be air conditioned. The staff were SO friendly and engaging. This place is themed in a manner that each hole is towards the journey to set west in the search for gold! The pictures don't do this place justice--Acme created a underground historical world that is well thought out and beautifully painted! When I heard this place opened, I was excited to check it out. When we walked in, we were greeted by Acme, who enthusiastically told us the storyline of our mini golf journey. As we progressed throughout the course, I couldn't stop admiring the beautifully painted murals on the walls, as well as the decor that made us feel more immersed in history. I loved the special touches of "spin wheels" to add a little more spice to our game, and I appreciated the realistic setting around us. The cost per adult was $17 each, so although a bit on the steeper side, I think it's well worth it to give it a try! Acme talked about adding more to the course, so I will definitely be back when he modifies it. 10/10 game! read more

I laughed, I cried, I cried some more.. very fun way to spend a bit of time in Old Sac. Wasn't sure what to expect but had heard good things about this place. One bonus is the name makes it very easy to find and speaks for itself. Came here on a nice Saturday for an early Birthday celebration with my family. Was expecting it to be crowded but with their reservation system check in was a breeze. I really like the theme/story aspect to the place. The art (murals) are exceptionally well done and I may have imagined it but it seemed to cool down a bit when we were heading into the Sierra mountains. I was concerned about getting too close to the people in front of us or having someone play through (we do have a six year old) but once we got going it was totally fine. The holes had a challenging aspect to them but there weren't any that were super frustrating. I highly advise not to take it too seriously! If I had to find any faults, (hard to do), I would say that it was a bit one note and maybe some animatronics or interactive elements could have enhanced the experience. But that is just being super picky. It was fine without and you can tell a lot of work went into creating the different scenes. Also, maybe some kind of momento or merchandise would be a cool way to advertise and spread the word? Maybe I just missed that part. Anyways, super fun and a definite great new addition to Old Sac.
