Pricing was very competitive. Alex and his crew did a fantastic job installing my deck stairs and porch, they are beautifully done and very sturdy. Far better than what we had before. They were there within 2 days of hire and completed the work within 2 days. We told them not to paint but Alex threw in paint for just the cost of materials, which was nice. Although, I wish I had some say on the color since they didn't ask beforehand and I would have loved a natural stain instead. The crew was very kind, they'd even bring my packages into the garage for me and make sure to close the garage door when they were done. The work is sturdy, done right, and I feel confident will last. My only point of advice is to just be more mindful of the garden. I had just purchased and planted 6 new plants and had a succulent ground cover I had been working to grow out for years. It was all so trampled I thought maybe they had dug it out at first. It would have been nice to get warning so I could dig it up myself (since it was fresh planted) or for them to step around it. Overall, I'd definitely hire GAB again (and likely will to finish our deck soon) and will reccomend them to friends and family. They're responsive, quick, easy to communicate with, the work looks beautiful and done right, and the value for the price is terrific.

I thought the estimate was fair and appropriate for the cost of the materials, the demo, and the labor. A lot of the other contractors were giving me ridiculously low bids, which I knew were shady and they hadn't measured the area. They came within a few days in same day. I had a new, completely rebuilt dock, which is fabulous. They kept the area clean while they were working, and I barely knew they were there, totally respectful. I am so happy to have my dock back so that I can play on the lake.

Initially it didn't look like the project would ever take off, but they worked extremely hard with the city to get my project design approved. We added a much larger composite deck with a cover, outdoor kitchen and fire pit area. Mario P. was a fantastic project manager, if you are lucky enough to work with him on your project you'll understand why. He is so thorough, detail oriented and was very patient and responsive to all of our questions/concerns along the way. He always took the time to hear us and resolve any issues we ran into along the way and continues to do so now. He's great at his profession and is even a better person! He had an amazing team around him, Steve and Edwin did an incredible job installing our custom Azenco cover (awesome louvered cover system) that butted up against our house. There were some tweaks that had to be made along the way, but they were able to problem solve to truly make it one of a kind! Teagan with Rock Electric also did an incredible job, he had a sizeable task of installing 4 large Bromic heaters as well as running power and lighting to our Azenco cover and outdoor kitchen. He masterfully hid all the control boxes in an existing stucco pillar, which are located a good 125ft from our electrical panel in the gargage! Highly recommend the team at Timberline Patio Covers, so do yourself a favor and at least have them come out and give you an estimate. They likely won't be the cheapest price wise, but their quailty and craftsmanship are worth it!!

I found them on Craigslist under event tents. They bring in a few hundred containers a year. They are a specialized importer and much of their business is wholesale. You can buy retail at an amazing price. I'm a big fan of buying through wholesale and professional suppliers - go direct for the best! Their website shows their specialties. Now that is saunas, metal fences and gates, and event tents. They also have short cycle products - they were at the end of selling inflatable rubber rafts. They were clearing them out after removing them from their website. They often have a selection of random items like parquet panels, stuffed toys, and plastic fruit at the import price. You can track their sales and special items on their website. They have the famous metal frame poly-vinyl carport cheaper than Costco. I verified by voice phone they had stock, visited, paid, and left with the item. They did a stellar job on post purchase support. They have a telephone and Internet inside sales group. They will load the items in your vehicle. Just waiting at the counter you can see and hear how fast the call center works and observe their customer focus. I would recommend Aleko for the products they have that you need.

They are the contractor with all the trades who are subsidiaries to them. They worked with us to design our entire project and build to what was designed. As we started talking to People Come First originally, Denny our salesman, was a huge help in coordinating our project kick-off and helping us keep the design within reason and had a great personality during the entire process. The communication was great and the workers doing the work were meticulous in building to "MAKE IT RIGHT" or "DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME". Jack and Edwin were the main builders of the structures and hardware installation. When Christian filled in, he continued the expert workmanship for not working 100% on the project. All of these guys are responsible for the workmanship in the pictures. They continued to work with us when unforeseen issues arose so we could resolve them immediately. Having a project manager there really helped for us to understand why things had to be a certain way and, in the end, it made it safe and built right. Thank You Mario for being there to keep the project moving forward. During the construction phase we had various inspection signoffs required by the City and every inspection passed with Zero rework or corrections. In fact, the inspectors stated during the various inspections how much quality they were seeing in the work; this included the electrical. The electrical guys, Don and Ace had to run over 80 feet of a 125A line from the original circuit breaker for our heaters, outlets, light and fans. They also corrected the original wiring for my outdoor lights and fountain that was installed. All these items passed inspection with no findings from the Inspectors. What about the Costs? We had multiple change orders because of upgrades we decided to include so we increased the original cost by about 35%. It wasn't cheap, but if you are only looking to spend $50K-80K for a complete area that is 22x16 you will get what you pay for in the long run. The materials they used were also quality. They did not get any of the wood or structural hardware from HD or Lowz. It was delivered by a reputable small company here in my area and who most locals go, to get quality wood and beams. I would recommend them to anyone, but if you are looking to save money, then they are probably not your first choice. If you want a no hassle company that provides workmanship and cares about the outcome and reputation, then have People Come First (PCF) build your dream deck. They also have a model set-up in Kent off Central if you want to see what they do, or you can see some of my pictures of their work. To end, the best part is the 5 Year Warrantee of their work and continued communication on our Project.

Our assigned estimator Kimball came by for the initial walk through on July 3rd. We walked the property and I pointed out areas that we wanted cleared and bark added to suppress new growth. He left us with a video of him walking the property and shortly thereafter we had an estimate. My wife and I reviewed it, and wanted to see what it would cost to add landscaping fabric and rocks to some of the areas on the initial estimate. I responded to Kimball and he asked for a Google image of the home with the areas we wanted the work done marked. I then sent him the requested materials via a color coded aerial image. Kimball then asked to come out for a second look to make sure his measurements were correct. I was unable to accompany him for that walk, but he did do the checkup. We had a second open ended estimate shortly thereafter showing what the added rocks and fabric would run per square yard. We then decided on just doing bark (simplest install) - no landscaping fabric or rocks, but in all of the same areas marked on the aerial photo. To be doubly safe, I sent him a second aerial photo marking where we wanted the bark. Kimball's final estimate included a breakdown of what 4 yards, 6 yards, 8 yards or 10 yards bark would cost to procure and install. He told me that they would start at 6 yards with our property per his assessment, and if more were needed, they would request the additional amount day of the job. 7/25/26. The day of the job. Lee's arrived, I walked the grounds with the foreman and they got to work. Late in the day, I got a call from Kimball saying that the 6 cubic yards of bark he'd ordered wasn't enough to cover everything and that they needed another 2 cubic yards to the tune of several hundred dollars to complete all areas we wanted covered. I agreed to the up charge and Lee's crew completed the job. About 10 days went by, and our very nice looking yard started to sprout weeds all over the place. Naturally, I was expecting to see obvious weed growth here and there pop up, but this seemed like a lot. Regardless, I got to work pulling the weeds every 3-4 days or so, added some more bagged bark I purchased from Carpenitos here and there, and as I tackled each section of the yard on various days. Then, they exploded. By the 6th week, we were overrun and I couldn't keep up. I did some checking, and found that for successful weed suppression, you need at least 3-4 inches of bark coverage to prevent light from reaching the newly cleared topsoil. Lee's quote stated they they lay down "at least 2-3 inches" of bark - not the gold standard 3-4 inches, but fairly adequate. So, I got out there with a yardstick and started measuring. Low and behold, most of the front and back yard had as little as 1/2 an inch to 1.5 inches bark coverage. The areas I'd hit with bags as I weeded were barely pushing 2 inches, which means they too were initially VERY thin. I then photo'd the explosion of overgrowth and sent it to Lee's general email with a concerned message attached. Kimball replied to the message, but he refused to acknowledge any error had been made on his part or Lees in terms of the estimated coverage vs. completed work. Ultimately, he refused to remedy the situation without charging us thousands of dollars more. We went back and forth multiple times via email, and he would not budge - not even to cover labor only to rake back, and remove the overgrowth. He also refused to connect me to a senior manager or owner - eg: a 3rd party in the company whom could objectively review the situation, stating that he was a manager and partial owner and in charge of our estimate. We were charged over $3200.00 after tax for the job. It will likely cost us thousands of additional dollars to remedy the overgrowth resultant of Lee's error, and for which they refuse to acknowledge or accept responsibility. I'm personally kinda shocked considering their reputation and long standing place in the community. We used their services for lawn mowing and occasional yard work in Seattle many years ago without issue. My how times have changed.

If you could describe Exteriors West with one word it would be "Outstanding" with a capital O. Dan, who is owner and installer, has got the installation down to a science. Dan arrived at my home around 8am to install a 16' X 20' aluminum patio cover which he flawlessly and meticulously installed by himself and completed around 6:00pm, Including cleanup. He has been doing this work for 25 years now and it shows! Do you remember the days of great customer service and honesty of business owners in the 50's? Well there are a few still out there and Dan is one of them. Maybe that is why the Better Business Bureau has given Exteriors West an A+. He completed the patio cover then proceeded to look over the cover with a fine tooth comb, wiping down the cover removing any finger prints or dirt he saw then he continued to look it over and painting any scratch or blemish with the factory touch up paint. Just this alone took about 45 minutes to an hour this is how meticulous Dan is and what kind of commitment he has to make everything perfect. When Dan started the job he put down sheets of cardboard and covered my deck with it to protect it. And at the end of the job he swept up his work debris and picked up the cardboard. He then blew off my deck with a leaf blower and picked up any stray garbage. My deck was left cleaner than when he got there. Then fit and finish of my cover is outstanding! From the planning, selection of materials and construction, Dan has been very patient and full of information and suggestions. If you need a patio cover, carport, RV cover, railings, window awnings, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial, Exteriors West is the company you want to go with. Yet they also did it in what I thought to be record time. The very next day, as was scheduled, Dennis, Codey and Chris showed up right on time. And despite the two decks being large in size and painfully awkward to get to, they knocked it out of the park! They had a system down that let them run through the entire installation in less than a day, which I seriously thought impossible. Steve came out and bid the project and did initial measurements where he walked me through the entire process and all the challenges we might face. After he left the site, Rescom set us up with an online portal where we could easily track all progress, make payments, and talk directly to Steve about the project. It was the best all-in-one experience I've had during our entire home renovation this year. Steve continued to be great, helpful, and responsive as we waited for the next steps in the project. When it finally came time for the installation, we had Dennis on site as our one man miracle worker. I couldn't believe how efficient and effective he was as a one man installer. He asked all the right questions out of the gate to make sure his work cutting and adjusting the railings didn't impact our day or that of our neighbors. When I had questions or concerns, he always went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and secure in the plan. Now that everything is done and in place, I couldn't be happier! I would use them again without a doubt, and I hope you'll be lucky enough to get on their schedule too!
