Carol setup and styled a beautiful arbor-chuppah for our clients. I am an event planner in Dina's Sweet Creations Events & Parties and Carol helped us by providing a great service and quality chuppah with draping and beautiful floral garland. Communication, payment and coordinating the as very prompt and Carol arrived on time to setup and take off the chuppah. Thank you Carol for your beautiful work!

Carol was amazing! Communication was fast, easy and never a problem. She answered all of my questions and really took time with me to make sure I was going to pick the right Chuppah for my wedding. Thank you so much for all your help! The Chuppah was the centerpiece to our wedding and everyone loved it!

I loved working with carol! She is such a sweet lady and was very helpful. I called her several times and each time she was such a pleasure to talk to. She was super helpful and what I picked was super simple and she made my wish come true, thank you carol for all your help with everything!

My partner and I just got married at the Brazilian Room, at Tilden Park. Carol Attia provided us with a beautiful white birch chuppah, with lace fabric, which we had our florist decorate. Everyone loved the chuppah! Carol was responsive, warm, and easy to work with. Thank you for making our day so special!

Carol Attia truly built the chuppah of my dreams on our wedding day! When Carol and I initially met to discuss the overall chuppah design, I had a clear vision of what I wanted it to look like. Carol knew exactly what needed to happen to make that vision come to life, and she made the chuppah even more spectacular than I could have ever imagined!! She used the most beautiful, high quality fabric and materials. It was really a pleasure working with Carol. I would recommend Carol and her company Under The Chuppah to anyone looking for a masterfully designed chuppah experience!!

Carol was a pleasure to work with and provided a great Chuppah for my wedding. I reached out to Carol after visiting her website. I was deciding between a few styles, and we were debating having the Chuppah delivered and set up by the Under the Chuppah team or if we would pick it up and assemble it ourselves. Carol invited us over to look at the Chuppahs in person and even made herself available on a weekend so that I could come over with my husband! Carol spent about two hours with us, showing us Chuppahs, walking us through the styles and set-up. Carol is very knowledgeable and passionate about her Chuppahs and it really shows. We decided to go with one of her bigger and sturdier Chuppahs and it was perfect for our outdoor setting. The Chuppah was large, beautiful and the fabric laid and billowed beautifully in the wind. We decided to have it delivered and set up by the Under the Chuppah crew. It looked so beautiful I even snuck out during our cocktail hour to spend time a few minutes in it after the ceremony. Carol was easy to reach via phone/email and payment was easy online. Thank you Carol for giving me the Chuppah of my dreams!

Carol is a dream! As a wedding planner we work with a list of different vendors, and Carol is surely making our Preferred Vendor Family List. She not only has the great inventory and pricing that you look for in a vendor, but is a great human and fun to work with, something we look for when choosing who we want to work with. I highly recommend Carol for all your Chuppah needs, she knocks it out of the park!

Carol was wonderful to work with!! She was easy to get a hold of, accommodating, reasonably priced, and reliable! Our Chuppah was the most gorgeous one I've ever seen! I am thrilled with our decision to have worked with her.

We used Carol at Under the Chuppah for the chuppah for our wedding at Casa Real. Carol was such a pleasure to work with! She replied to emails right away and helped us create a beautiful chuppah! Carol has many types of chuppahs to choose from, as well as the option to create a person creation. We loved one of her chuppahs but wanted a few small changes. She was able to integrate a tablecloth from my grandmother into the covering, so that it covered myself and my husband during the ceremony. The chuppah perfectly complimented the flower decorations and we couldn't have been happier! Definitely worth the money to get Carol to build you a chuppah instead of worrying about building one yourself!

Carol, where are your Yelp reviews? This was by far the most affordable chuppah rental I found in the Bay Area, and arguably the best. Carol considers herself a chuppah artist, and we got an absolutely beautiful custom-sized chuppah for our wedding. She allowed us to pick it up instead of getting it delivered and provided detailed instructions for us to self-assemble. Totally worth it if you're on a budget and we were so happy with the result. Check out my pictures!

If you're looking for a wedding planner who's professional but easy to work with, look no further…read morethan Justina of JL Events! This review is seriously long overdue as our wedding was way back in October 2022 at Casa Real (my apologies for the delay!) Early on in our engagement, my husband and I were ambivalent on the idea of hiring a wedding planner. We had already chosen several of our main vendors and thought we could save money and handle planning our wedding on our own but we were mistaken.  We were soon overwhelmed with all the details and started to have decision-making fatigue so we decided to look for a wedding planner. After quite a bit of research we chose Justina/JL Events and we are so grateful we did! Her services were definitely worth the investment. We highly recommend Justina for wedding planning and coordination. She is professional but personable, trustworthy, and very easy to work with. She had great communication from the start and all throughout the preparation for our big day; her responsiveness was amazing. During our first meeting, Justina quickly identified our needs and vision and created a detailed timeline for our wedding planning. She helped us narrow down design choices and accompanied us to meetings with vendors. We were impressed by her organization and proactive approach! Having Justina as our planner helped alleviate much of the stress that comes with planning a large wedding (we had about 260 guests.) There were several instances in which we were frustrated dealing with unresponsive vendors but Justina was great at facilitating communication and even helped us find better companies to work with. Justina helped us stay on track during rehearsal day and was an expert problem-solver. She coordinated with our vendors and the staff at Casa Real with ease and was patient with us and our large wedding entourage. On the day of our wedding, Justina and her assistant Dana took such great care of us and we were able to enjoy our wedding celebration! Justina truly demonstrated her expertise with event coordination. We really appreciated her taking so many behind-the-scenes photos and videos, too! She also created our beautiful wedding cake topper and welcome sign. Thank you Justina for helping us have the wedding of our dreams! We are forever incredibly grateful for you!

She is not only detail oriented, responsive, organized, and professional, but she is also thoughtful and personable. She even helped save us money on not going into over-time with our wedding venue! She also saved our wedding timeline (we initially had an early start time for our ceremony because we thought sunset photos were always taken afterwards, but she helped us move things around and coordinated with our photographer to really make our timeline better and more efiicient)! Leading up to our wedding day, she was on multiple video calls with us to make sure we were on track and had everything we needed. She was so good at anticipating our needs and helping us execute every little detail that we wanted for our wedding day. I also knew Justina was good because she helped plan my best friend's wedding, who was my matron of honor at my wedding! A full circle moment haha. Justina was so professional, but working with her also felt like planning my wedding with a friend. She is so kind and sweet and I will truly miss working with her. She even helped to keep me warm when I was standing outside in cold December night weather. We really couldn't have done it without Justina and we are SO glad we picked her to be our wedding coordinator. We couldn't have asked for a better person to help us plan the best day of our lives!

My husband and I received countless compliments on how smooth, organized, and beautiful our wedding was. Thanks to the incredible TDE team, I was able to enjoy the most perfect wedding day. Jessica: Jessica was our main point of contact throughout the planning process, and she was truly amazing. Whether we had questions or requests for the decorators, MC, DJ, day-of coordinator, photographers, videographers, or HMUA, she was always there to help. She was patient, kind, incredibly organized, and never made me feel like my questions were too much. Our Service Instruction worksheet was so detailed that every vendor knew exactly what to expect, which made the entire day run seamlessly. Decoration Team: The décor for both our ceremony and reception was absolutely stunning. Just two weeks before the wedding, I made a major change to our reception backdrop, and the team worked hard to bring my new vision to life. Jessica even arranged for me to see digital mockups after we discussed how important they were to me. Because of that, I was able to completely refresh the design from the inspiration I had shared over a year earlier. My advice: be as specific as possible about what you like and don't like--it really helps the decorators create your vision. Everything was executed beautifully. MC Eric: Eric was phenomenal! We specifically wanted a bilingual English/Vietnamese MC, and he exceeded every expectation. Even our hard-to-impress Vietnamese aunties and uncles couldn't stop complimenting him. He was charismatic, organized, and handled last-minute changes effortlessly. We had to adjust our timeline during the reception, including pausing photos and adding speeches, and he kept everything flowing naturally without awkward downtime. He also perfectly coordinated our unique sequence of dances with the DJ, making every transition feel seamless. DJ Otis: We didn't know who our DJ would be until the wedding day, and we were thrilled it was Otis! He absolutely nailed the music all night. The dance floor stayed packed until 11 PM because he knew exactly how to read the crowd. He mixed current hits with 70s-90s favorites that kept both younger guests and the older Vietnamese crowd dancing. The glow sticks and light-up glasses were a huge hit, and the energy never dropped. Day-of Coordinator Carina: Carina was incredible. She was warm, personable, and unbelievably organized. I thought my planning documents were detailed, but hers were even more thorough! She made me feel completely at ease leading up to the wedding and even drove to Pleasanton to run our rehearsal (an add-on that was absolutely worth it). Multiple vendors and family members commented on how efficient and organized she was. Photography & Videography: Our package included an engagement shoot plus two photographers and two videographers. Sam photographed both our engagement session and wedding, and his work was beautiful. We chose his light and airy editing style, and our engagement photos turned out amazing. On the wedding day, Sam and Christine were fantastic. They captured every moment while making us feel comfortable. One thing I'll never forget was how Sam noticed we hadn't had a moment to ourselves because of nonstop photos. He quietly pulled us away under the guise of a private reception reveal so we could enjoy a few peaceful minutes together. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, I couldn't be happier that we chose TDE. If you're looking for a wedding that's beautiful, organized, low-stress, and genuinely enjoyable, I HIGHLY recommend them. They truly made our dream wedding come to life.

Otis was kind with great attention to detail from the start. Ultimately, we decided with the glam package and our contract was very clear to understand with cost breakdown for removal of specific services / add-ons. I updated it many times with Jessica, our planner, as we made changes throughout the months, and she was always so patient and clear. Our MC Otis did a wonderful job with maintaining flow of the program. Otis was also working as DJ for a good portion of the evening, so props to him! We had closer to an hour compared to 1.5 hours of open dancing because we were behind schedule, but everybody was on the dance floor and he kept the party going seamlessly. Weddings are hectic and there are so many moving parts; we did get behind schedule but we were still able to do everything we wanted to do. Our photo & video services were set to end, but Otis was very professional in discussing with us if we wanted to extend our video services, communicative on additional cost, at the moment. Our photographer, Ben, along with the team Stanford and videographer, Christina, were so fun to work with. Ben was great at providing direction, which is especially helpful since we were not used to posing. I have not received photo & video yet as it has only been a week, but from an experience standpoint, they were attentive to detail, communicative, and glided effortlessly through the event. My makeup artist, Vivi, is the sweetest person. She was super attentive to detail and my particular skin type. I was worried about makeup because I don't wear heavy makeup often. I ended up paying for a make-up trial, and I was so happy working with Vivi that I had no worries for the wedding day. We also added-on make up for our mothers, which Vivi did the morning of. The reception decor turned out so pretty! Everything was set-up as scheduled. I was really happy with the welcome backdrop and name sign. It was also great to take pictures with guests with the backdrop since we had time during cocktail hour. We asked TDE to incorporate a large screen as the backdrop of our sweetheart table, so we found an example from a previous wedding they did, and it turned out exactly as expected. We added the photo-booth, which was so popular with the guests! There were so many cool props and our guests were having tons of fun with it. I also sent TDE a custom drawing that I wanted for the photo strips- and it turned out just like I imagined. We chose Grand Dynasty as our reception venue, and TDE communicated set-up details with our restaurant event manager, Esmond, in the days leading up to the event. I highly recommend TDE and the team that we worked with! Thank you for making it an unforgettable experience.

My wedding day wouldn't have been a success without their help! A while back, my friend told me that she used One Plus One Wedding Services (OPOWS) for her wedding in 2019. She had good things to say about them. My SIL's friend also used OPOWS, so I figured that if a few of my mutual connections have used this vendor, then I should work with them as well. Since I didn't have a wedding planner, going with a one-stop shop wedding services package was definitely a big help. It made my wedding execution seamless! I reached out to OPOWs about a year before my wedding date. Aggie is the main person who runs OPOWS. Aggie was super responsive with our conversations. She informed me about the wedding service package options. I decided to go with the Plus Package option which includes: photographer, videographer, wedding dresses (which I didn't use), Emcee, DJ (I gave the DJ our custom playlist since my husband and I wanted to pick our songs), hair and make-up artist, reception decorations, and chair covers. We scheduled to meet a few times before my wedding. Aggie was super helpful with providing recommendations and tips. I could tell that she really cares about her clients and wants to leave a good impression. Nearing my wedding date, she provided me with a run down schedule so that I could coordinate with her team and the external vendors that she partnered with. We made sure that my wedding day itinerary made sense. On the day of my wedding, I met most of my vendors in person. I was definitely stressed out because I always have this fear that something will go wrong. But to my surprise, all of my vendors did an excellent job on my wedding day. I could tell that they really enjoyed their job and tried to help me make the most out of my wedding day. Throughout the wedding and after the wedding, I received so many compliments from my guests in regards to the wedding decorations, the vendors we used, and etc. I made sure to advertise OPOWS to my guests in case they want to work with a one-stop shop vendor haha. Thank you again Aggie and team! My wedding day was very memorable and filled with happy memories! NOTE: If you're Chinese and can speak some Cantonese, this would make communicating a lot easier. Aggie, her team, and the external vendors that she works with are Chinese. There was a slight language barrier when communicating with Aggie and the external vendors since my Chinese isn't that great haha. But overall, we were able to communicate and get through the wedding planning!

While Hera was on vacation, I worked with Aggie to discuss and finalize the decorations of the venue. I picked out my potential dresses months in advance and Hera put them on hold for me as another bride was interested in one of the dresses I picked out. The MC and DJ were assigned a month before the actual wedding to discuss a song list and anything the MC needed to confirm and know in advance. Our MC was Jason and he was very lively and made the night more fun with his enthusiasm. The entire team was very patient and worked with me throughout the whole planning process as I had many questions and requests. I'm really glad I booked OPO because I didn't need to deal with additional vendors and could focus on what I really wanted for my wedding that OPO didn't cover. We locked in our contract a year and a half in advance, well before the recent remodel, and we were absolutely blown away by how beautiful the finished venue turned out. The entire team was so organized and supportive throughout the process. I had MANY questions over those 18 months, and they were always responsive, patient, and thorough. Because of their seamless process, the planning was nowhere near as stressful as I had imagined; they truly thought of every little detail so we didn't have to. For any couples worried about having a wedding at a golf course: don't be! The golfers were super understanding, and it had zero impact on our day. Our guests are still raving about the food, the drinks, and the music. The buffet provided so much food--in the best way possible--and no one went home hungry! We also opted for the dessert table through their partner bakery in Danville, which was absolutely amazing and left us with plenty of sweet treats to enjoy afterward. A massive shout-out to our florist, Dana Florals, who made my dreams come true. I changed my mind so many times throughout the process, but she handled every request with grace and executed perfectly; the florals were a huge hit with all of our guests. Most importantly, we have to talk about our coordinator, Jacoby--she is an absolute rockstar and we cannot recommend her enough! As a Type-A planner myself, I needed someone who 'got it,' and Jacoby truly does. She brought the most incredible, calming energy to both our rehearsal and our wedding day. Even with last-minute changes, I felt zero stress because I knew she had everything under control. She took such amazing care of us, making sure we actually ate and stayed hydrated throughout the night, and my parents couldn't stop raving about her. Our day truly would not have gone as smoothly without her; she is the reason everything felt so effortless! The team also handled all the setup and teardown, and even packed up our leftovers for us at the end of the night. We also loved their partner DJ, Brian, who truly listened to everything we wanted and kept the energy perfect. If you are looking for a stunning venue with a team that handles all the heavy lifting, I highly, highly recommend Redwood Canyon. It was truly the best day of our lives!

More bizzarely, the bakery called me on the day of the wedding asking why I hadn't picked up $200 worth of cookies...suffice it to say, the baker is amazing with cakes but not so good with organizational skills.

This review is long overdue! Vicky did the floral and decor for my wedding on 9/24/2022, and I…read morecannot recommend her enough. My husband and I found her on Yelp, and we truly enjoyed working with her throughout the planning process. We initially reached out to Vicky while planning our tea ceremony, and one thing I really appreciated was that she offered Mam Qua (gift tray) rentals, which made the process much more convenient. Vicky was professional, responsive, and wonderful to work with from start to finish. She beautifully decorated our church and brought our blue-themed wedding vision to life. The backdrop was stunning, and she completely transformed the restaurant venue into something elegant and memorable. Everything looked even better than we had imagined. I also loved that my bridal bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets were made with fresh flowers and looked absolutely beautiful throughout the day. Thank you, Vicky, for helping make our wedding so special. I highly recommend Queen Bridals to anyone looking for a talented and reliable wedding florist and decorator!

I debated writing this review, but I felt compelled to share our experience. This review is not to…read moreslander Queen Bridals in any way, but to offer honest feedback that may encourage some reflection. Like many couples, we approached our wedding with excitement. A friend referred us to Vicky, and we didn't think twice. In hindsight, perhaps we should have done more research, but we are easygoing people. We communicated our vision, gave Vicky creative freedom, and trusted her as a professional. We weren't difficult. We asked for something simple, elegant, and meaningful. Instead, we experienced stress, embarrassment, and disappointment. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Vicky voiced concerns that our venue, Koi Palace, was too small. We reassured her we had attended several beautiful weddings there ourselves, space doesn't seem to be an issue. While she eventually said she'd make it work, her lingering doubt was noticeable. On the day of the wedding, I arrived at the venue at 5:20 PM and found our guests waiting outside due to the venue not being ready. Inside, I observed Vicky and her team still working and did not wrap up until 6:00 PM, the scheduled start time of our reception. Later, Vicky insisted she had finished by 5:30 PM and had time to mingle with our vendors, but that version didn't align with what I witnessed or what our vendors shared. The most heartbreaking part came when my wife and I stood before the photo backdrop to take pictures with our guests. Instead of our correct monogram, the backdrop displayed the letters "V & A," despite my wife's name starting with a "J". Our guests noticed and pointed it out. We were stunned. To us, this wasn't a minor mistake, it was a glaring and deeply embarrassing moment. We ended up removing the initials ourselves. Even then, we didn't lash out. We waited, hoping Vicky might follow up to ask how the day went. She didn't. Two days later, I reached out and met with Vicky in person. I calmly asked how she thought the event went. She indicated everything went great and didn't recall any issues. When I showed her a photo of the incorrect initials, she looked at it without immediately recognizing the mistake. Only after I pointed it out did she acknowledged it and offered to Photoshop the images as a solution. That moment was disheartening. It showed a lack of understanding of what her role meant to us. This wasn't about a photo, it was about how we felt in a moment that can't be edited. It was about getting the basics right on a day that only happens once. After expressing our disappointment, we asked Vicky for a 30 percent refund. Not out of spite or anger, but because we truly felt the value of the service fell short of what was promised. The emotional weight of her error left an unsavory impact throughout our evening. We didn't demand the refund on the spot. I encouraged her to sleep on it and consider our perspective, to put herself in our shoes. She appreciated how non-confrontational we were and ultimately verbally agreed to the refund via Zelle. Three days went by. Nothing. I followed up with a message. No response. Eventually, Vicky replied and asked to speak. During our conversation, she reversed course and said she no longer felt the refund was warranted. She maintained the decor had been finished well before 6:00 PM and sent us a video of guests taking their seats at 6:01 PM, which only confirmed she or her team were still at the venue at that time. Technically, she completed the decor by the start time, which falls within the contract, and while we shared our plans for pre-reception desserts and snacks, we cannot fault her for that aspect. As for the wrong initials, to her credit, Vicky was apologetic to some degree and acknowledged the error, but indicated a 30 percent refund was unrealistic. I explained again this wasn't about a backdrop, it was about my wife being displayed by the wrong name, in front of everyone, on her wedding day. It was about the emotional toll and the lapse in attention to detail, especially when Vicky had worked almost exclusively with my wife during planning. How that mistake happened is still beyond me. Candidly, Vicky admitted to mixing up my wife's name with another bride. In the end, Vicky refunded 7.5 percent, stating since we removed the initials, it didn't technically ruin the wedding. No, it didn't ruin the wedding. But it undoubtedly affected how we felt. It cast a shadow over the night. It made us feel discounted, dismissed, and ultimately shorted of a service we were counting on. I believe Vicky put effort into her work. I believe she cares to a point. But her unwillingness to follow through on her word or genuinely consider the emotional impact of her mistake left us deeply disappointed. Mistakes happen, but how you respond to them matters just as much as the service you provide.
