We didn't get to stay too long since we still had a lot of traveling to do, but we would definitely stop here again when we're in Calgary and we'd recommend it to anyone who's in the area.

Glad I finally did. They've just introduced The Joker, their NEIPA, which has peach and vanilla. The vanilla is great, really adds a nice smoothness. I'm not getting the peach though. This one is quite sweet, even for a milkshake IPA. To fill out the rest of the flight I tried their brown ale and stout as well as IPA. All were good. I'm partial to their Brewmaster Blonde so I grabbed a 6 of that as well as the IPA to fill up my beer fridge. Unfortunately they didn't have 6's of The Joker.

The concept is cool, with a whole rustic outdoors kind of thing (canoe hanging from the ceiling, individual cabin type tables, tree trunk stools). Both my husband and I had the First Light IPA and loved it. I do wish we got a flight so we could've tried more options, but we will be back. The New Zealand meat pies were good, flaky crust and something a little different. The key to our successful experience was the kids' charcuterie- $4 for a juice box, orange, goldfish crackers, cheese string, blah blah shut up and take my money. For those of you who don't know, $4 to keep your kid busy while you drink beers is 100% the best thing ever.
