The restaurant has a very cute aesthetic once walking in. As for food, the miso soup and salad were amazing and especially the ginger dressing for the salad. One of the best ginger dressings I've ever had. The crab rangoons were great and felt surprisingly healthy even though they were fried. The main stars being the sushi. All of it was fresh and the flavors were complementary. Service was very kind and attentive. Definitely plan on coming back! There's also a parking garage right by here so parking isn't an issue.

Amazing service & the food was delicious. Reasonable prices , this will definitely a go to dinner spot!

I was excited to try this new place because I was really sad to see Koi Koi sushi and roll go so quickly. I had seen the renovation and it looked really great. I went 30 minutes before close to check it out and had time to talk to the daughter of the family who owns it. It's super modern but had lots of fresh flowers, cool music, and nice lighting. I got take out since it was NBA playoffs night. Great food, innovative packaging, I noticed several things done in the food that showed great care. There is this very neat thing in my udon soup that was a large piece of noodle that looks like it was hand braided, and I much appreciated the wasabi for my sushi being put in a little parchment thing so it doesn't get all over sushi! The sweet potato in my veggie tempura was also cut super cute in a rectangle but with rounded edges. My only complaint is probably price but I bet everything like rent and supplies for the restaurant industry are also going up these days. I told them I wanted to add to the Yelp so people could try it more easily. There is a phone and website on one of the menu pics I took. I just feel strongly that I want to see this place be welcomed by the community! I'm a marketing major so I wanted to do my best to put up a really solid review.

My husband and I are staying up the street and decided to try this place out. Amazing food. Fair prices. Even better customer service. We had the nigiri, shrimp tempura roll, crab wontons (sauce is amazing), gyoza, shumai, and green tea mochi. All of it was delicious. The food all came out pretty quickly even though they were also doing a huge take out order. The staff were all so attentive and kind. We found out they just opened in this area in May and deserve wayyyy more hype. Go here!

I love that they still serve salad and miso soup with your order. I got the combo roll lunch special and it was definite worth it in my opinion. If I were to compare them with clothing brands, the top tier restaurants would be akin to Hermès: impeccable, yes, but you're refinancing your apartment just to sit at the counter. Takumi is Ted Baker: genuinely refined, quietly stylish, and doesn't require a second mortgage to appreciate. The fish is flown in fresh daily. There is no cream cheese within a 50-foot radius of this kitchen. No yum yum sauce. No roll named after a questionable life decision. Just pristine fish doing pristine fish things. The menu is tight -- bento boxes, focused apps, nothing that needs a paragraph of explanation. The fried oysters and squid tentacles are mandatory. Non-negotiable. Do not test me on this. Then the subtle flex begins: yuzu, truffle, shiso placed with quiet confidence, mango puree that sounds wrong and tastes right, an Old Bay finish that would make Maryland weep with pride, and a Kalamata olive that has absolutely zero business being this good on a sushi menu -- and yet. This is a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing and doesn't need your validation. For top tier sushi in Falls Church, go with Takumi if you skew towards traditional, go to Yume if you prefer modern more creative options.

Food: The Yinyang Bowl (B) was the star of the meal for me. It comes with Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen and Sapporo Miso Ramen, plus braised pork, chashu pork, shrimp tempura, half a marinated egg, bamboo shoots, corn, zucchini, and scallions. There was plenty of food, and I loved being able to try two different ramen options in one bowl. Both broths were really good, and the whole combination worked so well. Ramen noodles was cooked to perfection! Wings: The wings were also good and had a lot of flavor. My only complaint was that they got a little soggy sitting in the sauce. I'd probably get the sauce on the side next time so they stay crispier. Atmosphere: The vibe was fire. I loved the decor, and the whole place felt warm, inviting, and comfortable. It's the kind of spot where you can actually relax and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. Overall: Really enjoyed this place. The portions were generous, the ramen was delicious, and the Yinyang Bowl is such a great option if you want to try more than one broth. Between the food, decor, and overall atmosphere, I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu.

Husband ordered the Koji chicken bowl and it was surprisingly small. It seemed like a weak version of a chicken teriyaki bowl. Daughter ordered the kare-kare brisket bowl and it was terrible. We really should have said something or tried to switch it out because she basically picked at it and left hungry. The brisket was dry and tough and it has something else that was like mush.
