Lunch at Kahala Mall in Honolulu, Hawaii... I've passed by this cozy takeout place several times because I like to park in the back where the covered parking connects with Panda Express and Taco Bell/Pizza Hut. Uncle Sharkii is between the theater entrance door and Core Power Yoga. Stan is the co-owner and was the friendly, patient, cheerful, efficient worker on 6-30-24! I was going to order at the kiosk, but Stan walked me through the ordering process quickly and painlessly! It's basically a build-your-own poke bowl. I chose fresh greens as the base. My proteins were shrimp and salmon. I got all toppings except the jalapeños. My creation was topped with a Sesame Seed dressing! Yum! I also got the limited edition Sharkii Tea Float. It has a green tea base and pineapple Dole Whip topping. It was perfect (not too sweet and not too heavy) on this warm summer day! Thank you, Stan, for the wonderful service and the cute shark bag! We'll be back!

Finally stopped by at Uncle Sharkii poke . I was on the waitlist for this Yelp event so I needed to check them out for myself. Well I ordered their #1 which includes half Salmon and Ahi. For $16.50 I think their amount of fish is on the smaller side . Although they have a lot of filler to make up the fish portion . The ordering process is you choose your type of rice than your sauce than your fish with all the toppings. The toppings consist of Onions, ocean salad , imitation crab , corn, cucumbers and avacados. Uncle Sharkii poke is located at Kahala mall backside next door to the Core Yoga . Small location once you enter the doors the counter is right there no dining available although outside there's a few tables support local

Hello Uncle Sharkii! What a cool new place that's much needed in Kahala Mall...Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar. I've been to their International Market Place location and this one is a bit smaller for maybe just a couple of people to fit comfortably. Located on the lower level in the back there are several covered stalls though are very limited and always difficult to find but there are a few 10 minutes parking stall right in front of the shop. As soon as you walk in there are a couple of staff who greeted me and did give me a moment to look over their menu which is basically simple with six types of protein to choose from and I went with Spicy Tuna as I have a difficult time finding that right one with the sauce I love. Right beside the register is the process to order your poke bowl...first you choose your base and I decided on half/half which is half rice and half salad which is a nice option, second I've already chosen spicy, third is the poke sauce which I found strange but chose "Sesame Mayo" which I believe is the drizzle on top of your bowl. Then the toppings...with eight different ones you have the option of all or whatever you want...nice! Spicy Tuna with half/half, Sesame Mayo, Masago, Furikake+dried onions, Cucumbers, Corn and Seaweed Salad. I think the sesame mayo added flavor to my salad and I did like the choices on the poke bowl though it was a bit different though the spicy sauce on the poke was okay...but I did enjoy the bowl in general and the variety it comes with. There are a couple of tables outside for your convenience which is a nice touch. Didn't really get a drink since I got it at the other location and it was too sweet for me but love the options they have here and is a welcome addition to Kahala Mall. Thank you!

Decided to try here since they were having their grand opening and you could get a boba free with a poke bowl purchase. Luckily we went about 30 mins before opening because there was already a line when we got there. I ordered the shrimp and salmon and mango green tea. I also got a pineapple dole whip. There a bit of a wait after ordering and the shop inside is really tiny. The bowl itself didn't have as much protein as I thought it was going to have but the fish tasted fresh which was good. The tea itself was good but the boba was a bit too chewy for me. My son loved the dole whip of course.

Yummy poke bowl Uncle Sharkii is located near CorePower yoga at Kahala Mall. It was a bit hard to find (store map and Yelp map were off) and I had to ask a security guard how to find it. Super appreciative of the tofu vege option and liked the ability to choose your base. There's the option of all rice, salad or half of each. There's also the option of leaving out any of the sides. Additional cost for avocado. The tofu was delicious but wished they added more of it. The sesame sauce was delicious and I especially enjoyed the seaweed topping. They have limited seating outside with only 2 small tables and 6 chairs. Overall a good experience and I would come back

(Tookout 08/23/24 FR @ 6:45pm): It would be cool if they had shark meat at this poke bar! I came across Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar's Kahala location after I was shopping nearby at Longs Drugs. Today was my no-meat Friday, I still hadn't eaten any poke on this current trip, I was feeling lazy, and they seemed to be a nice local business to try out. Perception-wise, I normally wouldn't consider a polished-looking poke place located inside a large mall; rather, I fancied the unkept hole-in-the-wall in some obscure location or something close to the ocean. Upon further research, although the brand's ethos were based in Hawaii and its celebration of "ohana", the majority of its locations were on the mainland and concentrated in California. Having said all of this, does this uncle's poke bar jump the shark to blur my perception with reality as to where I buy my fast seafood!? PURCHASE Taro Milk Tea w/Boba 11floz Cup ($5.95 + $0.75): Whenever I was in Hawaii, I always had to consume some taro, and in this case it was in the form of a boba drink. With hints of coconut, the taro tasted more natural and less powdery which was a good thing. Although the boba was chewy and a decent size, I wished there were more of them. Although I felt the price was slightly elevated, this was a very good drink I ended up having as a dessert. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=ir3P-yOGTtZA9UW-k52qlg Uncle Sharkii Poke Bowl w/Avocado ($18.50 + $2.00): Built upon a base of steamed white rice, this included all sorts of fresh ingredients from various seafood (e.g. crab, roe, salmon, shrimp, tuna) to a garden of vegetables (e.g. corn, cucumber, jalapeño, onion) an avocado for good measures, and topped with a lovely pineapple wasabi mayo. This was an awesome colorful healthy bowl of goodness https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=R-7nShaupVfwqpumDh6YeQ that completely filled me up. Yes, I felt the price was also slightly elevated, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=Lm2mfUXldt_axhhZ3tUGTg SERVICE I was immediately and happily greeted by two young women behind the counter. I was the only customer at the time and I knew what I wanted, so I easily placed my order, received my drink quickly, and within ten minutes (they were filling online orders, too), my dinner was ready. All was easy-peasy - mahalo! PARKING (FREE) Located at the Kahala Mall, there was plenty of parking - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Basically, a small order/takeout counter with no indoor dining space (there were a couple of tables outside), an easily legible menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=M0X8n6LK1tZg2iA2hJOZLA that hung directly above, and an order kiosk if you didn't want to deal with a human being; everything was rather quaint and simple. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the large tinted glass doors and windows while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=wx_Yv2b2mNLm7egZAmIutA ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Kahala's Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar's location was very convenient, served my immediate purposes, and I would consider them again. Heck, I might even visit their newly-opened location at Universal City's Citywalk which was easily accessible from my mainland hipster 'hood. The food was tasty and plentiful, the prices a tad high (they were in a mall, too), parking was easy, the menu options were limited but you were able to customize, and the service was straightforward. If you planned on going often, don't forget to bring your loyalty card https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=9eZ0xYVbL1kElWOq5HwdPw as you worked your way to a free bowl. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $28.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Small little take out shop on the outside of Kahala Mall, next to the yoga studio and barbar shop. Great service - they walked me thru how to order, which is very customizable. Ended up getting the Uncle Sharkii since it has ahi, salmon, and shrimp. Got it with the mix rice/sushi and all the toppings. Also asked them for both sauces (Sriracha and sesame). The Sriracha is savory while the sesame is sweet. Good as a mix. Tasty! Only drawback is that there's so many toppings in the somewhat small container that there's not enough fish for the price. Wee bit pricey but I think that's just what things cost now. Also got the strawberry ice tea. I loved starbucks's old strawberry black ice tea so had to try this. I can taste the tea, which is good, but the strawberry is a little sweet, almost like a sweetner vs puree (which I was expecting but wasn't advertised as such, so my fault). Nice place to grab poke in the mall. There's also 1 table outside so I'll be back with my pups.

Uncle Sharkii, after i already took a bite. Sorry! Got hungry!

Super convenient for those stopping by at Kahala mall. As mentioned by the other fellow yelper, right next to Corepower near Taco Bell/Panda. It's a small, grab-n-go nice spot to get a quick poke bowl fix! Staff and owner Stan are super friendly! I got the "UNCLE SHARKII" bowl, which is basically the works!!! It comes with shrimp, ahi, and salmon! And let me tell you, that shrimp is definitely underated! These poke bowls also include: imitation crab, corn, cucumber, seaweed salad, the option to add avocado as well! With non-traditional sauces including a sesame mayo and pineapple wasabi. I went with a traditional one, and just went with sriracha mayo, which was creammy with a light kick. I was a bit skeptical with the corn and cucumber because it isn't a "traditional" poke topping for us locals, but it just works... it added more flavors and textures that makes for it being more than just a poke bowl, but healthy and refreshing bowl too. To cool yourself down, this black tea was perfection! I am a connoisseur of tea, and this tea was not bitter at all! It was steeped perfectly and had a nice robust strawberry flavor! To add some extra sweetness I added some lychee jelly! Which brings me to say, this was the perfect pairing to the poke bowl! It was so refreshing! With a nice atmosphere, very welcoming presence... amazing staff and quick service, i would definitely be back! I would love some unagi sauce as an option though. My only suggestion aside from that is maybe marinating a little more of the marinade. I would say that's more of a personal preference though! Other than that, Willy and Stan, ya'll keep doing what ya'll do because you guys are sure to bring smiles in and out!

New poke shop alert! Uncle Sharkii is a brand new poke bar located at Kahala Mall that just opened on Lunar New Year where the poke's as fresh as they come! I believe I was their 3rd customer as they opened right at 10am. The inside was super clean & well layed out. The place is small, I foresee the lines going beyond the doors as more people start frequent this establishment. Because this was a soft opening, it was expected service was going to be slower than usual. For me, I rather have them get the order right than rush & they have to redo the poke bowl, in which they did. I got their signature Uncle Sharkii Bowl which comes with wild salmon, crab, yellow fin tuna, shrimp, & all the veggie fixins over a bed of rice. Was soo ono I ate the whole bowl! & Not only do they specialize in fresh poke bowls, they also offer boba drinks! Washed it all down with their Thai Tea Boba drink in which I added lychee jelly & strawberry popping bobas. Head on over to Kahala Mall & get your poke bowl & boba on today! Location: 4211 Waialae Ave, Honolulu, HI 96816 Kahala Mall Open (hours as of soft opening date Feb 10th, 2024) Mon-Sat: 10am-9pm Sun: 10am-6pm
