Juan introduced himself and explained the products a bit. Another young lady gave me samples of the popcorn that was out. I ordered their cheese and caramel mix. The texture of kernels was a bit sticky or not as crunchy as I would have liked. This is far from the best Garrett caramel/cheese mix, but it wasnt bad. I appreciated the yelp check-in deal as well. I don't know if I'll be rushing to get back, but may stop to support when I'm in the area again. 5 stars for customer service 3.5 stars for popcorn

When I messaged them thank you they asked for my mailing address and I thought okay cool I love their popcorn and I'm excited! I check back a week later back they never confirmed if they got my address. On August 22nd they email me an update saying there was an issue with the Tin company bc of a Steel Tarriff and once thats done they'll send them out. I thought ok cool no worries. Never heard back so I check in September 30th, I asked if there was an update for the prize winners, and they read the message and didn't respond. I messaged again October 5th saying if the tin is whats the issue that I don't need the tin at all. I love their popcorn so much that they could just send me the popcorn and I'd be good etc. All they wrote back was a Heart and "we got you".... I seen they're running a sale on their popcorn so I message them Oct 18th saying how I was gunna buy a few bags but remembered about the giveaway and wanted to check in on it. I also expressed how its disheartening how they haven't provided any feedback or follow-ups on it, and that its a bad reflection on a business and poor customer service. I also said how Ive met them once in person and they seemed really cool but how they're handling this situation is crazy. Finally some kind of humanly (?) response. "Just tell us what you want. And we will accommodate you. A lot has been going on over here. We are figuring it all out on the fly" I tell them what my favs were and that I understand when businesses get busy, but its been 3 months with little response. So on Oct 25th I get a message (after seeing their story of them getting orders together and a car full of peoples orders getting dropped off at the post office) stating "thanks for being patient. The tins are still not in but thanks for participating in the contest. Please ORDER on our site directly for your popcorn with a $25 off promo code XXX. The code EXPIRES 10/31/28" OHHHH? You have to order a min of 25 bucks and i still have to pay for shipping and for the popcorn! and it expires in 5 days. I know this review may sound kinda crazy and its just a prize, and the company is entitled to do whatever they wish with prizes, but the fact that they didn't honor what they said, accommodate the winners for the delay, and never even SAYING SORRY for pretty much leading ppl on is crappy. I love supporting small businesses, especially black businesses but they don't know how to run a business from what Im seeing with the lack of customer care, as well as past reviews. First off, shout out to the owners dad who talked about his son's business and how he moved back to SoCal to help him out. To help support their business, I decided to but a few bags since I loved their story. Plus, the shop was cool, service was great, and you are immersed by the popcorn scent once you walk in. Most importantly, there are so many flavors and if you are undecided like I was, they allow you to try 3 flavors. After deliberation and going back and forth which felt like hours, actually 2 minutes, I ended up taking home Doritos Cool Ranch, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Dill Pickle. Doritos Cool Ranch: Tastes just like the chips, and as a matter of fact, there are chip crumbs throughout the bag which is a plus because it is one of my favorites. It's mind boggling how they can master the taste and trick your mind, thinking you are eating a bag of chips. Not too salty, popcorn was fresh, and the taste was perfection. By the time we realized, the bag was done and had us wanting more. Strawberry Cheesecake: Sweet but delicious. Definitely tasted like I was eating cheesecake. Cool tip-eat one of the pink and white kernels to get the true taste and be sure to savor it. Dill Pickle: I am not a fan of pickles but I would make an exception because it had a great taste. My boyfriend enjoyed this a lot, too. As soon as I tried one, it was as if I was eating a pickle but it wasn't overpowering. Overall, such a great experience and we will definitely be back to try out some other flavors. Plus, they take recommendations so be sure to submit what you want to see in the store.

I love popcorn in all flavors and was excited to get some for me and for my neice/nephews. It's a small store front in Azusa. But it looks like they stay busy- two people came in after me. The owner was in preparing a pre-order of 175 x-small bags of kettle lorn. Both the owner and the guy behind the counter were helpful, informative and willing to let me sample whatever flavors I wanted. So many to choose from. I ended up getting 5 bags (Windy City mix, vanilla cupcake, blue raspberry, buttery caramel, turtle mix) and started eating them in the car to my sisters. I love that all the bags are resealable except the x-small. The bags are made of a thick plastic and the reseals easily! The Windy City mix is the caramel with cheese. Keith said he's going to be making his Chicago style which has the buttery caramel and cheese but hasn't had time. That should be amazing. He has traditional caramel and the buttery caramel which takes longer to make. The vanilla cupcake is sweet-but I love sweet. Like a vanilla kettle corn with white chocolate drizzle! The blue raspberry wasn't too sweet and not my fav but I thought my 5 year old nephew would love it. The turtle seems to be like a light caramel corn with chocolate caramel drizzle. I'll definitely come by again and try more flavors! Maybe more savory ones next time.

The medium sized bags range from $10 for more basic flavors to $15 for the chocolate varieties. Certainly not cheap, but this place makes them fresh daily nd the flavors are really good. People who work here are always friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well organized so that you can see all the flavors that they offer and grab what you want.
