    Cherry vanilla quart
    Zi Q.

Uncle Louie is an ice cream stable, this is what I know growing up. I love their ices and ice cream, today I tried the soft serve and it melted as it was being handed to me. Not the biggest fan of the soft serve. Husband loves the vanilla cherry ice cream, and ices are pretty good. They only open during the summer season, and hours are quite unstable, but every time I see they open I have to pick up their ice cream.

Soprano spumoni - this ice cream flavor say it all. The thought crossed my mind to boycott it because of the name, but then realized how badly I wanted spumoni, no matter what the hell they called it. It could've been "slap my bitch up spumoni" and I still would've gotten it. There appears to be no cup size difference between a small and a large; and they said size matters pfft! Go small or large and go home happy here!

The iceys here are fine (similar to the other location i frequent). Only complaint is - on hot summer days (especially holidays - I came on July 4th) - staff extra people because when its just one person working, things will be slow - and customers and your staff will be unhappy (Message to the owners - dont be cheap)

There have been many ice stands in the neighborhood over the years but this one seems to be the only franchise that has stuck around They serve all different types of ice, cream ice and ice cream. They put corny nameslike "holy cannoli" or "nypd blue" which i never use when ordering. The prices have gone way up over the past couple of years (just like everything else, right?). A pint of ice will cost you 5.50, but sometimes it's just worth it! My favorite flavors are the rainbow, pistachio nut and mango. My wife loves all the chocolates and strawberry They usually have kids working there but are mostly nice. They put the leftover ice on sale in the final couple of days they are open before shutting down for the season (which is usually late september)

Paid $11 for this and they didn't even fill it up!

I paid $11 for a quart of peanut butter cookie dough which wasn't filled and just simply not worth it (see pics). Robbery!! I purchase this same ice cream ALL THE TIME from the other Uncle Louis G's in the area (which are surprisingly cheaper for their quarts) which they ALWAYS FILL to the top. The ice cream is delicious but this has to be the absolute worst establishment - possibly super cheap owners I presume... They are open at the strangest hours and customer service is bleak. Tried to return this crap after getting home to realize they ripped us off but they were closed. If you didn't have enough, why not just tell the customer?! Trust me, go to either the Bay Ridge, Sunset Park or the one in Cropsey. They are ALL terrific. I won't ever be going back to this location.

Pricey but worth it. High quality ice that is smooth, creamy and flavorful. My kids love it too.

Not quite as generous as the Park Slope location but still delicious! The Cappucinno Chunk is my new favorite.

They also have cookies in the front and other frozen goods in the freezer. This used to be my go to spot but the strawberry cheesecake really didn't hit the spot after it was defrosted. It was hard and the texture did not taste too fresh like it used to. Their cookies are still a great buy tho.

Additionally, this family member most times bakes without consulting a recipe. The ingredients are memorized or better yet she can produce these desserts from scratch. Boy, I wish I had this talent but I don't.. here's where Aunt Butchie's steps in. Aunt Butchie's baked goods are just delicious. I've had numerous varieties of their cookies: red velvet, chocolate chip, chocolate chunk cookie and double chocolate cookies. Of course, AB is known for her cheesecake cannolis, mini cheesecake cones and if you are undecided go for the Sampler Pie (Chocolate Mousse, NY Cheesecake, Mississippi Mud Pie,Carrot Cake). There is limited seating indoor and outdoors but of course bringing these baked treasures to family makes you want to run home and share it with them. The best is the "to go" fridges where you can take home all of the above and more! AB dream was to share their family desserts with neighborhood restaurants, a dream that Bay Ridgians are so happy they did!

Nieves Tia Mimi has some really delicious flavors. I tried the horchata and melon - both were fresh and delicious. The horchata flavor wasn't as rich as the ones I've had in Mexico. The melon was nearly identical - definitely my favorite. I love ice cream and gelato. As far as life goes, desserts are one of the greatest things man ever invented, especially ice cream and frozen desserts ! If you're looking for a refreshing fruit ice dessert, highly recommend Nieves Tia Mimi.

The staff spoke Spanish so I attempted to use my limited spanglish and I confused the female staff so badly. She also was not the most friendliest. Eventually one of the male staff helped me translate - thank you so much! When it was time to pay, total was $15 & I gave the other male staff $20, but received back $1 (I should be getting back $5). Please make sure you get back the right amount because I do not know if the person did it intentionally or not. Nonetheless, the chamoyada & Pina colada were delicious! We were shocked how good they were! You can taste the quality of the Pina colada & it had the right amount of sweetness. It was so refreshing! I would reorder that next time! The chamoyada was very interesting (in a good way). It was spicy sour, a bit sweet, refreshing, a bit salty. It was a surprise party in my mouth! I liked the sour things (it tasted like tamarind) they put on it & that "stick" (straw). I would reorder this again next time! Excellent mexican ices! There were many other flavors to try (like horchata, tamarind, etc). Also tons of indoor seating.
