This place is mediocre at best. The food and service are overpriced and overrated. There are too many great Mexican restaurants in OKC for this to become a regular spot for me. read more

We went to lunch to celebrate a birthday with a party of seven adults. We were warmly received, the staff was friendly and the service was excellent. Our food was great, served hot, tasted fresh and prepared as ordered. The chips and salsa and our drinks were always full. The lunch menu was reasonably priced. I noticed that the regular menus prices were slightly higher than some other restaurants, but the prices would not stand in the way of me returning to this location. Overall, excellent service, great tasting food worth the money, delivered hot and fresh. Will be planning a return visit soon. read more

We had been looking forward to have dinner at Uncle Julio's had an outrageous wait time. When we finally got our meal the food wasn't hot, barley warm. The taco was the best part of the meal. Won't be going back there, areal disappointment. read more

Great drinks. Food is average to above average but overpriced. Poor atmosphere with loud music that is difficult to talk over. Service below average. read more

Very disappointed in the service and how long it took to get my lukewarm enchilada dinner. The manager was not interested in hearing about the service but excusing it. I emailed corporate and received generic reply. I had another issue and have since sent two more emails with no response. read more

Good food. Drinks a little pricy. Noisy, but food made up for it. Carne Asada was ezcellent. I will be back

Not a good night when we went. It had rained outside and the floors were wet throughout the place. Food was okay but not hitting the mark for me. read more

We went to uncle Julio's for lunch two days ago and like all first time patrons, we wanted to be blown away by the food. Sadly the experience left us questioning if we were to ever going to return. The first issue was the service and I understand that they have just open so these issues may improve with time. We ordered soup and both of the bowls were brought out with no spoons and we had to take the time to find our waiter again to request spoons. Also we asked for flour tortillas and they never arrived for the entire course of the meal. The chips were so salty that we had to individually scrape the salt off each chip before it was palatable. I understand that restaurants try to salt the chips heavily so that patrons will buy more drinks but this was over the top. My wife had the lunch chicken quesadilla which she thought were tasty but it was very small portion for $14. I had tacos L Carbone and the meat was tender and about as flavorful as I've ever seen it but again it came without the traditional beans and rice so that even after we finished the meal. We were both still hungry. I wish I could've given more stars but two is the best I could do. read more

I was skeptical on reviews but came here with a work dinner. best fajitas and margarita I've had in my life. Guadalajara fajitas and El Jefe margarita. Do it. read more

We have eaten at the new Uncle Julio's twice. The first time it was just my husband and I. The food and service was great. We ate there today and we had a party of six. There were a few issues that Chuck the manager handled way above our expectations. Zachary our foodserver was new, but awesome. Best guacamole and queso ever. Lobster fajitas were amazing, but the star of the show was the chocolate pinata. Fun and delicious. They are always busy, so reservations are a great idea. Love the food and service both times. read more

Over priced hipster Tex-mex. Nothing special. Ho-hum menu offerings. Just a place for the "cool folks" to go. Won't be back.

Food was great. Service was good. Need a bigger selection of craft beers. Will return but not a favorite.

Great Food. Worst Service ever. We said something to the manager but it didn't get better. Our waitress visited our table 5 times in 45 minutes and always forgot something we'd asked for. The only way I would eat here again is with a to go order. read more

The Drinks we had were good, but the nachos were very average in presentation and were lukewarm when they arrived. Their idea of Chicken nachos is a single small strip of chicken on each of 12 nacho rounds. The atmosphere was very nice with a nice patio, however, we were only there for drinks and appetizer and the wait staff seemed to attempt to hurry us out once we were not going to order a meal. I thought the menu items were overpriced for a tex-mex type restaurant. It does have a lovely view, and if that is what you are wanting go to Lake Hefner for a better view, and for Mexican food that is much better and a better value. read more

Chips are sugar laced crack cocaine. Service was great. Thanks Angelo. Food was ok but not exceptional. Service and quick seating were best features. Good ambiance and decor. Not too loud of a crowd inside. Great patio seating! read more

Food and service was good! But I did notice when I made a restroom trip. One of the employees did Not wash their hands! Very unprofessional and made me question my whole experience. Very questionable about returning in the future. And I told the manger and it seemed like he didn't care to much for it. read more

Two things are great there. The guacamole made at your table and the chocolate pinta desert. I had chicken enchiladas and my wife had the combo enchiladas. They were just average and that is being generous. I had the house margarita-it is small and really not that great. Salsa and chips are decent. Go there for the quacamole and pinta-get an appetizer not a dinner. read more

The good, the bad, and the too dang loud aka ugly. My chicken fajitas the good. Actually they were really awesome. And the only reason I may give this place another try. The bad ... My friends taco salad below average in his words. And everything is over priced. Service was friendly but slow. I mean laid-back but looking busy. Family across from us had a child dump over there drink and it was a good 10 mins before one of the many servers passing by help them and that was only after the dad got irate. Servers everywhere yet you have to ask multiple times for anything you want and you still won't get it. Trying to be a fun atmosphere but becomes frustrating because the music is so loud you can't hear yourself think much less have a conversation and that's when things get ugly. Our to go order for my son was a chicken Cobb salad. We got home before realizing it had no chicken. In the end we wished we would have visited our favorite taco truck where we could have bought 125 tacos for the same price! read more

Got to be honest I wanted to rate this higher but my wife and I shared the chicken enchiladas and experienced two days of sickness thereafter. I mean there are some things to like like some of the drinks but how can you go back after that. Also they have some construction flaws resulting in some perspiring floors that are very slick. Someone will fall at some point. read more

Enjoyed a delicious Halloween dinner. As always, the food was delicious. We had a terrific server and the manager stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our meal. read more

I sat for 40 minutes without salsa or anyone coming by to take an order. When I asked for a receipt I was told I would have to run my debit card again. Online banking showed the charge went through so I declined to run my debit card again and was told I didn't need to get angry about it. I will absolutely never in my life as long as I live come back. If I could give significantly less than one star I would. read more

Our waitress Marisol was excellent! She was very accommodating & friendly! The food was excellent- I would recommend the carne asada! We got the piñata for dessert it was fun and delicious! read more

Needs improvement not good service they need to use the Nowait app to have less of a wait

First time for lunch disappointed service not good food cold waitress not friendly had to ask twice for tortillas when I paid tab she immediately cleared my chips and salsa so I left will not be back. Most Mexican restaurants don't charge for each item cheese sauce relish very small margaritas for the price read more

My wife and I sat on the back porch and enjoyed the fountains. Great guacamole made at our table, good drinks, our food was good but was barely warm. read more

Everything we have ordered has been delicious! From the table side guacamole to the fun piñata dessert, it is fresh and homemade. It's the best Tex-Mex in OKC. read more

Visited the Oklahoma City location, and it was underwhelming. For the price, I expected better service and food. When my family was seated, we didn't have any silverware or napkins. When we received them, 3 out of 4 were dirty. Our server was very slow in replacing them and didn't display basic customer service. The server was not proactive. We had to locate the server on several occasions to request additional drink refills, etc. We will likely not return to this location. read more

Worst disappointment ! We arrived promptly at 11:00 am on Saturday when they opened. We had a party of 10 so I can certainly understand how it might take a few minutes to put a few tables together (albeit in an empty restaurant) but when we were finally seated 38 minutes .....yes 38 minutes later ....with the only explanation being given to us that " we are waiting for your server to get here!?!".... I was already tired of this place that I had heard so many rave reviews about. In fact, I had been looking forward for well over 6 months to eat at Uncle Julio's. But that's not all.... I ordered crispy chicken tacos. That's it. No special order just tacos. I was brought beef tacos.... at that point I wasn't surprised at the mistake. I tipped 20% because I believe in tipping as a former waitress myself I know someone did something right during all of this. But I will NOT be going back to visit because there are plenty of other very good Mexican restaurants with exceptional service.... something UJ should work on. Look elsewhere for Mexican food and drinks! read more

Best salsa in OKC, so glad we have an Uncle Julio's in Oklahoma now....going this weekend

Love this place. Was our favorite restaurant in Chicago and we were so happy when it came here. Staff is just ok-hit or miss.

Had a reservation for 3:15 and waited to eat lunch until then. Showed up right at our reservation time and still had to wait 20min to be seated. Stood there waiting watching other people being seated past our reservation time. Drinks were good. Table side guacamole was amazing. Waiter was a little clueless. read more

I was there on 7/4/2019 for lunch as my daughter insisted on trying this restaurant. There was no wait, we were seated immediately, the location is a plus for this restaurant. That's the only reason this place is getting a one star. We ordered table side Guac, the waitress brought cold premade Guac, which we refused to take, chips were greasy, the salsa, fire roasted is good. We ordered chicken fajitas, the plate was sizzling but the chicken on the plate was cold, the presentation was so sloppy, looking at the plate itself is not appetizing. I never wrote a review on any restuarants, this is my first one. Never going back again. read more

I LOVE Uncle Julio's. The food is so good, super fresh, and service is always great as well. Not to mention the amazing drinks and daily drink flavors based on the freshest fruit that day. Prices are a bit more than most Tex-Mex restaurants in the area, but it's worth it. I've tried a number of things on the menu and have yet to have anything I did not like. read more

Went to try this for the first time for a friends birthday. It took 30 minutes to get waters, an hour to order, and 45 minutes to get our checks after we had to ask for them and they were incorrect. Asked to speak to the manager and he was rude to the entire table, told us it was our fault we didn't say something, did nothing to comp the poor service ticket problems or wait we had to deal with. He was rude when we tried to talk to him again and ignored our table. We were polite when telling what was going on and it was not reciprocated. The wrong amount ended up on the wrong card and we had to just pay each other in order to leave 2.5 hours after we got there. Would not return give service. Salsa was good but that was the extent on the food. read more

I really wanted to like this place because of the hype, atmosphere, and because my family loves Mexican food. We knew we needed to be flexible when choosing to eat outside or inside due to the wait so we picked first available. Flies were flying all over the food (gross), our waiter was horrible! He messed up my order of nachos twice! After waiting an additional 45 minutes for him to fix the first mess up, the 2nd time he messed it up too! I couldn't believe it! Of course, by this time an hour later my family was already done eating I told him just to forget it. The manager did comp our meal but seriously, get it together! We left there and just got my nachos from Qdoba! LOL. This place is not the fast pace kind of Mexican restaurant we are used to, save your money and your time. It's a cool location with great queso (that you pay for) and that's the only reason I gave it 2 Stars instead of 1. read more

Super delicious. Pricy, but you definitely get the bang for your buck. Delicious steaks, they age their steaks and price varies based on how many days. Best of all--their specialty--a chocolate piñata!!! You'll have to see it for yourself, it's definitely a treat to even just see!! read more

Festive environment, but not my favorite. Waited a long time, but no fault of theirs. Forgot my margarita and did not seem to have enough staff for the crowd, but will definitely give them another change since new. Need to work out the kinks and will be fun place to go! read more

We had a group of 11, celebrating a birthday. We had an amazing server named Aidil. She was polite, helpful, very professional, sweet, and checked on us often. She made waiting on 11 people look easy. Many kudos to Aidil! We enjoyed our food and cocktails, too. A delightful experience! read more

Bad food to start with. The rice was hard, as well it was spoil. The fish tacos was burnt and taste rubbery. The guacamole was alright but, wasn't really authentic. The service was alright, but was not the best. Did not like it and would not try it again. read more
