I will start with the good. Frankly, the food was pretty tasty. The husband and I both got combo plates of green chile rellenos and chicken enchiladas. Salsa was good too. The service was so horrible, it was hard to enjoy anything. The two females - one a trainer and the other a trainee were wholly inattentive and not polite. Nothing was filled. There was a foreign object in our salsa and nothing was even said when we pointed it out. The trainer made a face and took it away. Not an apology or anything. Today I visited with my best friend for the first time. Service was good and it had a nice family atmosphere. I ordered the appetizer sampler. The queso was amazing and also the bean and cheese ponchos (nachos) were very delicious. The guacamole was good too. It also came with chicken flautas, and a chicken quesadilla. My friend ordered the steak and chicken burrito bowl. I just took a bite of the quesadilla and from what I could remember it was pretty tasty. I don't like shredded chicken so I didn't taste the flauta. My friend hated her food. Unfortunately the meat is like the premade fajita meat that is sold at Walmart. It lacked flavor. I follower an influencer and she recreated the crispy beef tacos, I'm thinking that's what makes them so popular. Anyway we determined that neither of have to comeback. I always like Chuy's! When my work offers lunch, we commonly come here. They have plenty of wrap-around parking. They always sit us no problem. I like to get a club soda with lime. We get chips and salsa and you have to order their queso - so good and flavorful! Our waitress this last time was Jen and she was new and did a good job taking care of us. One colleague is vegetarian, and she picked up on that from his comments and offered a different sauce for him to like, which was good intuition on her part. I always get the panchos - it's technically an appetizer, but it's a pretty good entree. I always dip it into their creamy jalapeno sauce which isn't spicey, just yummy. Normally I get the chicken flautas but I went out of my box and got their special Green chile Ellen combo but the chicken inside the chicken enchilada was chopped up in large portions and hard to eat. Very good food! Had the fajitas and they were very tasty. My wife had the chili relleno and said it was the best she has had in OKC.

I've tried the Chuy's in Norman and to be honest it wasn't what I had expected. Flash forward several years and more there's a Chuy's on Memorial. It was a different experience than my previous adventure and this was actually pretty good. Service was pretty decent for the lunch hour rush but we didn't have to wait long! I will say it was rather noisy but that's just the restaurant atmosphere. I will for sure be back to try more of the menu. read more

The location in Norman was one of my favorites back in college and I'm glad they've opened up a location closer to me now in a prime location by Chisholm Creek. Service: Since we came on opening day, we expected some kinks, and slower service, but My friend and I ordered the Mexican Cobb salad and Chika Chika Boom Boom chicken enchiladas to share. The enchiladas were my favorite. I especially love the Chika Chika Boom Boom Sauce and the chicken was very tender. Although the place was packed we were seated right away, and served with complimentary chips and salsa. We had to request for our fave, the creamy jalapeno dip. The ambiance and decor are the same as I remembered - very colorful, framed pictures of dogs everywhere. You get a free appetizer if you bring a framed picture of your dog(s). There is a sign at the bar that says "If we don't card you, you don't look under 30" - My friend and I were disappointed that we actually look our ages because we weren't carded. We were fortunate enough to get to attend the pre opening dinner they offered. It was wonderful. Alex was our waiter and he did amazing. He was right there to get everything we asked for. They text you when your table is ready, so you can wait in your car, outside, wherever you prefer. This Chuys does seem smaller than others. It also has no sitting room for waiting in the lobby. It is small and cramped. But, helps to be able to wait away from the lobby and come when called. It went by quickly, we were seated and had a wonderful waitress. Food was perfect again. Everyone loves a good visit to Chuy's! I first discovered this gem when I visited Austin. It was my favorite place. I knew exactly what to order. So when I stopped traveling to Austin, Chuy's came closer to me and it was the best thing I could ask for! I love asking for their ranch dip. It's soooo good! It's complimentary but you have to ask for it. Queso is not complimentary but you can order it. In my honest opinion, I can go without it. We gave our name, phone number, and within seven minutes I received an text our table ready.Our server brought us complementary warm tortilla chips with freshly made tasty salsa. Queso is sold as an appetizer. Along with ther signature dishes, they have signature sauces, which feature New Mexico's red chilies and Hatch green chilies. My hubby ordered the House Special Steak Burrito - large flour tortilla stuffed with grilled steak that was chopped into small pieces, (very tasty and tender) Jack cheese and it was topped with very flavorful, semi hot Hatch green chile sauce. I ordered the Comida Deluxe - 2 cheese enchiladas and I asked for the red sauce - (the red flavorful just what you'd expect from New Mexico red chili pod) and tasty) 2 small chicken flautas (chicken was tender) served with chipotle sauce and guacamole, the crispy taco was good.
