The cowboy queso was amazing ,tacos were great steak was expensive but good would recommend.

Have to give a one star. Didn't get seated or order food. Walked in and immediately was hit with the overwhelming smell of sewage. We asked the hostess if they were having sewage problems. She had zero information to provide and acted clueless. We requested to speak with the manager. He said when they took over the building it was very run down, with mold under carpets and numerous other stuff. The smell is coming from the vents and he put car fresheners up on the louvers. He continued to boast that they have 5 star food. Well that's great, provided you can stomach the smell while eating your meal. Makes you wonder what kind of bacteria you may be breathing in. I'm surprised they are in business with how horrible it smells. read more

Big fan of Uncle Julio's in Fort Worth and this place is equally awesome. Great food and plenty of variety on the menu. I'm shocked this place doesn't have 4+ stars. When it first opened there were some service kinks to work out but they've been worked out. Definitely worth going to. This is my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in OKC. read more

My wife and I stopped at Uncle Julio's after seeing a friend post about her visit to the restaurant. We love Mexican food and found the dishes we ordered both fresh and flavorful. Will be coming back. read more

First time in the restaurant & it really was very nice inside. Great service & everyone was very attentive. Chips & salsa was good but the ahi fajitas were not that good at all. Prices were pretty high for Mexican food but was looking forward to some good food. Husbands grilled fish tacos were awful as well. Sorry to leave a bad review but this really wasn't good food. Will give them another chance at a later date. read more

We went for the first time tonight. I've heard the food is amazing and it is. Don't miss out on the cowboy queso! The salsa is delicious. It was my husband's birthday so we had the chocolate piñata and it was fun dessert and also delicious. There were definitely some issues with our reservation and our server brought out our drinks with all the ice melted. I addressed all this with the manager and he more than made up for the missteps and assured us he would correct the staff. We will be back and hopefully have a better experience starting out. read more

Horrible service especially at the bar. Sat down once the table was bussed and waited over 15 minutes before any server said anything to us. It was like we we're invisible read more

I'll start off with a positive note by saying that the food we DID receive was very good. The kitchen messed up my sons order...no problem, right? They'll just make him a CHEESE QUESADILLA really quick...WRONG!!! 20 minutes later after we were done eating, they bring out his simple cheese quesadilla. I would have bought more bar drinks, but the bar runner couldn't keep up. 15 minutes to get a beer and a margarita. Your food is good...your service needs serious work...our waitress was sweet, but overwhelmed. read more

Beer was hot!! They put black pepper in their salsa and it was disgustung!! .waiter was not attentive. I cant tell you more than that because we asked for our tab and left. Too bad i really wanted a chocolate pinata! read more

Great service and delicious food! They were able to accommodate me with gluten and dairy allergies!!

I've driven by this place several times and my husband decided we were going to try it today. It was good Mexican & Tex-mex food and service was great! It is a bit loud, pricey and my carnitas tacos were a little dry but they still had good flavor. It seems it's trying to be more of a fine dining Mexican place rather than your hole in the wall or corporate joint. It was different and good. We will be back. read more

Excellent in all aspect Would definitely eat there again Quac was delicious and very fresh read more

The service was slow and we waited about 15 mins at our table before we even got water. I ordered the lunch Soup and Tacos Al Carbon and my soup came out barely warm. The tacos were nothing special and came out as meat on top of a tortilla and lettuce, tomato, and guacamole on the side. Nothing would probably bring me back except margaritas on the patio. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Where do I start.....service was bad, the food had no taste, everything we ordered there was a extra charge (queso, tortillas ect.) small portions, over priced. Nice décor...but that was it! I LOVE Mexican food and was really wanting to have a good experience. Save your hard earned money and go to a local restaurant! read more

OMG OMG I grow up in Ft Worth where the original one is. Finally a great Tex-Mex place to eat food in Oklahoma. I was in okc to do some shopping for some things I can't get in Woodward. Did a google map search for Mexican food and Uncle Julio's came up I knew right way this is where we where eating dinner. The food was amazing and will different be back. And remember to ask for the upside down swirl and not the reverse swirl. Once again outstanding food I will differentiate be back read more

Good food! Fun atmosphere. We were there on a Sunday evening so it was a bit loud. Good food, slightly pricy.

Good fresh food very busy had to wait a while for table did not like the salsa it had a Smokey taste like liquid smoke and it was a warm salsa-not a fan! If you like warm salsa try them queso was good. read more

Awesome food and atmosphere. Love the chocolate piñata. The waits are long though with limited place to sit.

Meh! So disappointed in the food. The ambiance is perfection. Here's hoping U.J's is just having a rough start.

This uncle Julio's is by far the best one I have dined with my family. I was a bit reluctant to try it based on my previous experiences. Since the opening we have dined in on several occasions. My husband has even taken his bosses here for lunch. read more

No Bueno.... we had reservations for our daughter's birthday for 2 weeks in advance only to have them auto cancel in advance. This required an additional phone call to verify it was current. Upon arrival sunday evening they were less than thrilled to see us as it took 15 minutes after seating for wait staff to talk to us. (Simple party of 5) Service was minus 10 on the typical scale and we were told it was due to Toby Keith having booked the suite. I love me some Toby Keith, but this is no excuse for poor customer service. Good Grief.... I'm sure Toby would be mortified to know that his party was used as the reason why we were treated so poorly. And the rant Continues i hate to say, but beyond the false hype. Poor service. Inflated wait. Over priced food n drink. And over all nonsense i will not be back to Uncle Julios. I myself have over 35 Tios and they all agree no association to this Uncle. read more

Went here on a Monday night at 9pm. Unfortunately we didn't dine here due to the music being incredibly loud. I am a young female and went in with my mom. I actually work at a sports bar and the music their is not even that loud. It's not even that loud on game day, I'm talking ou vs osu! Seriously, it was like a club. We even Went out on the patio to see if it was as loud out there and it was. I can't imagine an older couple trying to dine there. The food looks amazing, but not sure who there demographic is that they are targeting with the loud music. I'm not one to ask a restaurant to turn the music down esp just for two people but I suggest u do so. This review is solely for corporate and management so that they can consider turning the music down. I believe this would help greatly and create a more inviting dining experience for all. read more

I forgot how much I have missed this place!! They have the best fajitas I have ever had!! So happy they opened one close to home!! We made a reservation at open table and got seated right away!! The patio looks like a lot of fun. read more

We visited this establishment when they first opened with less than stellar results. We mentioned our issues to the manager and they apologized. We decided to give it one more chance tonight and never made it past the hostesses that were on their cell phone. After a long wait in the lobby we cancelled our reservation. Really not impressed with wait staff from our first visit and even less impressed with management. No plans to return. read more

Good fajitas. Good margaritas. Great patio. Great staff. Great chips and salsa. The table side guacamole is super! Love the area and the atmosphere. It's worth a repeat visit in my opinion. read more

Staff was great had steak and chicken fajitas for two. However, we only got 4 tortillas for 2 people. Waitress didn't come back again so we could ask for more until the check was ready. Also steak was plain and blah, chicken was not much better. Finally fajitas for two comes with nothing but the two setup plates. Fresh tortillas and fajitas are hot, and it would have been nice to have a plate to sit them down on for a second. I haven't been since before COVID. Food used to be really good here. read more

No matter how they enhance it, the menu is basically tacos and items wrapped in flour tortillas. A taco truck menu served in a sticky floor building. I'm from the El Paso-Hatch New Mexico area and I know what Mexican food and Hatch green chile is supposed to taste like and this is not it. The "creamy" green chile sauce (?) was tasteless...it was like milk added to green chile, although the menu stated white cheese. The roasted red chile salsa had lumps of chile skin which you had to spit out or swallow whole. The cheese with the enchiladas is chewy, chewy and chew some more and finally just swallow it whole....and the enchilada itself was hard? After ordering and waiting in a rather empty restaurant for 20 minutes for our food, the waiter voluntarily informed us it was taking so long because they were training a new cook. We were thrilled to learn this took priority over customers who can now expect food prepared by a novice and served cold. They were training about 15 new staff while we were there. Oh, and they don't have spoons. Servicer was uninterested and preoccupied. Truthfully, we both got sick to our stomach that night. read more

The first time I went I was wowed. Been back twice since then and it was just ok. The guacamole is the bomb though. Get the tableside guacamole! read more

Fave place to eat on the North Side of OKC. Steak fajitas are delicious and don't skip out on the table side guacamole!

Upon arrival we were greeted swiftly and were told we would be put on a long wait, although there were plenty of open tables. Staff was unfriendly and the food was mediocre. I will not return! read more

Personally didn't love it. The margarita was good but not for the price. The chips were super greasy and the cheese was eh. I ordered the carnitas tacos and they were stuffed with onion and on the dry side. I heard the fajitas were good though! The best part was the homemade tortillas. read more

By far my most favorite Mexican restaurant in OKC. The blanco queso and tortillas are by far the best in town! Not to mention their drinks!! We have only ran into one problem out of the dozen times we have been there with bad service. Uncle Julio's is always packed so I think they were short on staff that evening. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. Love, love, Love this restaurants food! Can't wait to go back. read more

Pretty good food, nice atmosphere and it's located in a great area. There are plenty of options to choose from of the menu. I'd say try it and if you don't like it there are plenty of other choices in that area. read more

My first visit was Friday, we know it will be busy, we wait for one hour to get table, no problem, I ordered an steak and enchilada dinner, unfortunately I wasn't able to eat it, it was extremely salty, the manager came to explain me, it said it was the marineted , I was waiting for maybe another 40 min to get my food back never happened, we have lo leave, so I never got dinner, very sad for My first time, they take care of the check, but I just want to have a nice dinner. read more

Food was good. However it was a night of dishes dropping all around my table. Five times. Loud stressful expensive dinner. I felt like I needed a valume Never saw a manager. I keep hoping for a good experience here. I am from FW Texas. Where Uncle Julio is great. Very disappointed once again. read more

Love this place. Everyone always complains about the wait but we always try to snag a seat at the bar and do so with success! Gabe is the best bartender, he is always so calm and accommodating no matter how busy it is. This used to be our Sunday night tradition, but we haven't been in a while! Can't wait to come back and enjoy a delicious el jefe made by Gabe and the chicken and pork tamales read more

Great Food and atmosphere. We had Terrible service but we will give it another chance since it's new.

A little pricy in my opinion, but the food was good! I would definitely choose Ted's given the option between the two. Plus Ted's has free queso, atomic salsa, and sopapillas. Worth trying, but definitely not somewhere I plan on frequenting. read more

The fajitas were awesome. I had honey chicken chipotle. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Service was top notch. Price was a little more than I was expecting, yet at the end of lunch I think the price was equal to the quality. I will return. read more
