Had a blast and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! My husband and I shared the chicken fajitas and I had a Julio Gold margarita.. Can't wait to come back!!!!! read more

Only because of Anthony that was helping our disappearing waitress ,we asking him because we didn't see her .The biggest problem : we came in May 18, 2023 after an event, I told friends and family I'm talking my family to Julio's but I'm calling to reserve so I can get on in. I had a few people that wanted to join me. And I told others they might want to reserve so they can get right in to avoid a long wait time. keeping in mind that we might not be sitting near each other,so that's what they did. Everyone was paying their own dinner. Our tables ended up next to each other and we had a few strays were chairs was added without a problem. Our waitress disappeared after seating and service for our drinks came later and some of our drinks ( not the water) was served warm not chilled or with ice, thick and flavorless . We snacked on warm water (we had to ask for ice), and chips until they served two other large groups of food that came in sometime after we were already seated. And we were still waiting. Tell me how do you get there on time and every table around you get served first. When the food came, it wasn't that good and to top that off when someone at our table wanted to get accommodated for something, the manager came out and said we didn't have to server y'all because you all was together. Well Mister Manager, yes our two tables knew each other but we made our own reservations. If you didn't want us to eat there you should not have seated us. read more

We were so ready for a great experience. I had eaten at an Uncle Julio's in Texas, so I was excited to share this one with my family. Granted, there were good things involved in this, like the view of the lake with its fountains, and the food. It started with the seating arrangement. Knowing that reservations are hard to get (like, call more than a week in advance), we told the hostess that we would sit anywhere, even outside---but in the shade. Initially, it seemed like a great table with a view of the water, close to the server station, near the door to the restrooms (we had four kids with us, so that last one was important). We needed 8 chairs---there were only 7 (we grabbed one ourselves to make it right), the flies were unbelievably bad, and although we were right under the servers noses, we were totally ignored for about 15 minutes. Our table was between the server stand and 2 other tables that were seated after us. Servers were constantly walking around us to get to those tables. No one seemed to notice that we had only menus for a LONG time. After asking for our server, he showed up, obviously miffed that we had summoned him. He seemed short with us, impatient with the children, and corrected one of us on the pronunciation of a menu item to the point of embarrassment. One more thing, the ladies restroom had no hand soap. The dispenser seemed broken. When kids are present at a meal, time is of the essence. Because of the prolonged waiting time, our four became restless, getting out of their chairs to stand by the balcony to look at the water. This added to our discomfort, because we then became police---making sure the kids and servers didn't collide. To sum it up, it was an uncomfortable experience, that could have been much better. Great food, questionable service. read more

Best. Place. Ever. Went for our anniversary and was impressed from the second we walked in. One of the best mojitos I've ever had!!! My go to spot from here on out. read more

Really bummed about this restaurant. With such an awesome location I was hoping for a lot more. It's overpriced TexMex at best. Like On the Border but twice the price. I paid $36 before tip for a margarita and dry fish tacos. I'd rather eat at the local Mexican food places around town and get a decent meal that's decently priced than eat here again. read more

It's actually incredible how bad this place is. $12 for 5 nachos. The nachos were also flavorless. This place is very, very bad. Mind blown.

This is an awesome place and brand new! Upscale Mexican food with a casual atmosphere. read more

Good food ! Love the service and the queso and chips! Very great for birthdays because you get to break a big chocolate with fruit in it. 10/10 read more

I have been here 3 times. First time was amazing. (When they first opened)Second time was good, third time not so good. It's like they keeping going down a notch every time I go. The departments I am concluding this with are temp of food, taste of food, and overall experience. I will say I have had great customer service every time I have came here. read more

Went there Weds night. Fabulous! Great atmosphere and great food! Service was very fast and attentive! I'd go again in a heartbeat!

My family and I went to Uncle Julios today for lunch and it was pretty packed. When they took our name they said it was a 35 minute wait, it only took about 10 minutes before we were seated! The service was great, the food was great (the white queso is awesome!). It was a bit more expensive than expected but overall it was a great experience. read more

This was an excellent experience!! There were 5 adults and a set of 19 month old twins and everyone loved their food!! We will definitely be coming back!! DELICIOUS read more

We were in Edmond on Thursday, 10/31/19 and decided to try Uncle Julio's, which has in the interim been bugging me for a review. I completed that, but the review was rejected, so I am repeating it here. The regular salsa was outstanding and had just a bit of heat. So we asked for the jabanero salsa, which was as bland as paste. We had shrimp tacos which were ok, but not great. The fish tacos had no detectable sauce and were awful, the grilled talapia was very strong, unlike the normal fried cod or whitefish. The food was mediocre for $40. There is plenty of great Mexican in the greater OKC area, and it's usually a ton of food for very little money. The signature chocolate pinata was $30, so we avoided that. I'd avoid the place, and we certainly won't be back. read more

So disappointed in this place. The wait, the service and the over priced food. So many better choices in okc.

My wife loves this place. I went with her and my mother in law. It's more Tex - Mex than I am used to. I prefer mountain mex (Colorado/Northern New Mexico) However, the atmosphere is awesome, service is great and the food is high quality. I had the Juanitas platter and was very pleased. The red sauce on the enchilada was a bit sweet but still very good. My wife loves their tamales. My mother in law ordered the chicken quesadilla and was very happy. She said the guacamole excellent. If your looking for spicy, this is not the place. If your looking for good Oklahoma/Tex Mex with high quality this is the place. read more

You can save yourself some time waiting for a seat in the bar area or patio. 2 of The swirl margaritas i swear are the devil . three of these are hell. 4 your in the pit of hell. Omg finally a place in Oklahoma that has some strong sangria swirls. I had some bomb fresh ceviche. Only thing was missing a hint of lime. The shrimp and fish was amazing. Will come back for the swirl margaritas and ceviche alone. Jesus of Nazareth great. Love the ambiance and music. Pricey for sure. But i felt it was worth what all i ate & drank. The salsa is a bit smokey but nothing a little lime wouldn't fix. Only thing i didnt care for were the ceviche chips. I get they needed to be a sturdier chip, but i found the catina fresh made chips to compliment better. I do believe the cost for dessert was ridiculous $25 and $30. I get for a large table but that's more than some peoples dinner entree. Beautiful patio & water feature on the eastside of the restaurant. Bartenders were friendly. The lady bringing the food to the bar was all confused who had what. read more

Horrible service. Noisy. Food was not great. Staff wanted everyone to checkout electronically. Very in personable.

Went for date night with another couple. The waitress was new, so service was mediocre...at best. She split the checks correctly but charged our card for both. The Assistant Manager just made it worse by charging our friends card twice. When we asked for the General Manager we were told " he was busy and didn't have time for us." Being that is an unacceptable response we demanded he come to our table to fix this. The GM explained he could not give us a receipt showing the refund to our cards and that we'd have to wait 2 business days for the money to be credited back to our account. After we left, our account was charged 2 more times. Check your bank account before you leave to make sure fraudulent charges aren't posted to your account. read more

Uncle Julio's is amazeballs. To the uninitiated of OKC, Uncle Julio's might be new, but I have loved it since I lived in Dallas. The drinks are awesome and I recommend trying the Jalapeño Margarita, make sure you tell them no ice in the shaker that comes to the table. Fun place to go with your family or with a group of friends for happy hour. Treat yourself, don't cheat yourself. read more

Not overly impressed. First I stood at the front, waiting to be acknowledged by the several hostesses standing there to no avail, Went for a couple drinks in the bar, had to wait 15 plus minutes before I asked for service because no one acknowledged us a the table. There were 11 employees behind the bar. Spent almost 2 hours there and most of it was waiting for the waitress to stop and check on us. Margaritas were ok, but over priced. Salsa was great, no one bothered to refill it once the super small bowl was gone. Need to train the staff for better service!!!! Horrible! read more

Great food!!! We found our new favorite Mexican restaurant!!! Quick service and reasonable prices!

I'm typically not a fan of chain Mexican sit down restaurants, but Uncle Julio's was very unique. From your classic Tex-Mex to spicy mango filled tacos, there is something for you if you want to play it safe or try something new. If I'm eating sit down Mexican, this will certainly be where you find me. read more

I wasn't too impressed with my first (and last) visit to Uncle Julio's. We sat on the patio which was very nice. It was a beautiful view and nice weather so that was enjoyable. It wasn't super busy but things did not come out in a reasonable time. Once I received my drink, it had a chipped piece on the rim and the glass was cracked. I asked for another drink, as I did not want to accidentally drink glass. It took quite awhile to get my drink & I thought with such the issues, I would at least get some sort of discount but no. My two friends ordered fajitas which were brought out, but without tortillas. Finally after about 20 minutes, the waiter came and said their tortilla machine was broken. Things happen, we get that, but we saw tables next to us get food that had tortillas on their plate. The manager came and comped the fajitas, which was the right thing to do and we appreciated that. One of my friends ordered vegetables on the side as well. She asked the waiter about 5 times if they were coming out. At one point he said,"yeah I keep telling the cooks but they aren't listening to me. Sorry. But they did comp your fajitas." By the end we just wanted to get out of there. She never got her vegetables either. We had been warned that it was overpriced for mediocre service and food, that is an accurate assessment by our experience. The only redeeming quality to this visit was the view outside. read more

I was in town visiting and my friend took me here for dinner last weekend. I'd never heard of it before and was really looking forward to trying it as I discovered there are Uncle Julio's in my neck of the woods, too. Sadly, no need to seek those out. I ordered the Julio Gold Margarita. It came in a rocks glass (pet peeve of mine) and looked like cloudy water. Tasted about the same - like a watery, tart limeade. We ordered Queso dip for the table. It was decent but it has an odd little taste at the end but, like any personal preference, that could just be my buds. I ordered the enchilada combination as did my friend. She'd had it before and thought it was delicious. Me, not so much. If I remember correctly, one comes with chicken w/enchilada sauce, one ground beef w/cheese sauce and a cheese/onion w/green sauce. It was not memorable as all I can remember is the hard/gummy tortilla (like a hard gummy lasagna noodle) that I had difficulty cutting with a knife, and the 3 day old ground beef morsels. It's served with rice and beans. Don't recall how I felt about the rice, but the beans are very watery, served in a little cup smooshed up against one of the enchiladas. Service was fine but not particularly friendly. More like a chore for the servers. Price is high for what it is - not a good value, whatsoever. The highlight were the chips they served. There are made on-site with white corn tortillas and very light and delicious. Anyone familiar with Chevy's - same type of chips. I've been, I've tried, don't need to go back. read more

Love their guacamole and chips! We came here for some birthdays and we ordered chocolate pinatas! Everybody was having fun with it!

Uncle Julio's has amazing guacamole that they make right at your table. The good here is always great

Food was great but service was not. Our server and other servers were incredibly busy talking to a friend that came into the restaurant to eat. This friend was sitting at a table next to us. It was incredibly distracting and unprofessional for staff to hover over a table in a packed restaurant. Since our server was more interested in talking to her friend, our margarita order was delayed being put into the system. We received our drinks after our food arrived. I'm not a fan of drinking alcohol with dinner. For an expensive dinner, I would rather go to a place where management has more control of their staff. read more

Great ambiance with less than good food ! We ordered shrimp diablo soft chicken tacos and carne Asada which was probably the best among the 3. Table side guacamole was so so nothing to write home about ! Service was good except when our waiter messed up on our shrimp diablo and got us bacon wrapped instead ! He kept saying he made a mistake and kitchen was making our original order. It took a while for the order to come yet not the waiter nor the manager offered anything while we waited and waited ! Needless to say we still paid for the item even though it came after we were done with our other 2 meals! Poor management ! read more

I've been to other Uncle Julio's and had great experiences but this establishment was awful... we sat down and read the menu only to be told that they were out of steak once we had already ordered. Half the menu is literally steak.. Was asked if I had room for dessert before ever taking a bite of my dry Chicken Fajita entree. Not long after the bill was placed down on the table.. made us feel very rushed. Not a good experience read more

this was one of the worst places to eat very rude server the food was terrible i guarantee you i will and my family will never be back again i strongly suggest go anywhere but here i wouldn't even give this place one star. read more

The new updates are terrible . Uncle julios got rid of their lunch menu and all the items left are extremely over priced . Go get mexican food somewhere else they are hurting and are sticking the cost to the customers read more

Yes, this is the same as the one in Ft. Worth, but I was much less impressed by it. It's new and so flooded with people, but the food is just low quality. Example, the guacamole that was served to us appeared to have fresh green guacamole layered over brown older guacamole. That's just pitiful for a restaurant to do. The margarita options are ok, but nothing to write home about. You can find much better ones up around Santa Fe and Edmond Rd. read more

I'd been hearing alot about this place recently and against my better judgement to eat at yet another corporate chain Tex-Mex restaurant and risk disappointment, I gave this one a try. I arrived around 3:00pm, a perfect time, and was greeted by a very nice, friendly young lady who offered me my choice of all the different seating areas and I chose a booth in the bar. Jennifer immediately brought me chips, salsa and water and came back shortly to take my order - lunch special - chicken tortilla soup and fajita tacos al carbon ($11.99) and a regular frozen margarita with salt ($8.99). Jennifer returned quickly with my margarita (missing salt) and I had just squeezed the lime into it when another server brought me my meal. The chips and salsa were thin, crisp, warm and fresh. The salsa was a little bland, but fresh and still good. The chicken avocado soup was a decent-sized portion, very tasty and perfectly spiced, but light on the chicken. The tacos al carbon were nothing special and rather diminutive and bland compared to those served at other local, non-chain restaurants. The margarita was in a small mug and was essentially a ridiculously overpriced frozen limeade - it had NO tequila that I could taste (or feel) and I grew up on the border and have drinking margaritas around the world for 40 years, so I know my tequilas and margaritas. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was clean, neat and very well staffed with friendly and attentive servers. Total bill was $30 [$24 food (incl. tax) + $6 tip]. Probably not a repeat visit as there are so many other, much more reasonably priced and higher quality local establishments, like my favorite place in Northpark Mall. I would've felt almost completely ripped off were it not for the excellent service from my attentive and gracious server, Jennifer, and the very nice young ladies at the hostess station who asked me about my meal and listened to me gripe about my margarita. They asked me if I would like to speak with a manager, but I declined. Thank you for being so understanding and indulging me! read more

First visit was on a Sunday and they had a short wait for first available but it was worth it. Their flank steak fajitas were as good as I've ever had. The meat was very tender and medium rare (tell them if you want it otherwise when you order) and the hand made corn and flour tortillas are awesome. They only have fire roasted salsa which was good but I believe the amount of charred peppers overpowered any other flavors. I wish they had an alternative instead of two nearly identical salsas. Service was good and fast considering it was nearly full and the patio had a nice breeze and pond view. I'll be going back soon. read more

Really nice place! Drinks are exceptional, Food is great! Service was Great. Now the cost is freakin a joke. 2 people, split fajita nachos, 2 margaritas, price $68, plus $10 tip, $78 kinda ridicules. Would have been 5 stars, but the greedy mgmt just had to gouge me for a lot of dough. I heard this same story from from other people too. Good luck! read more

This place is the worst flavored "Mexican " food I've ever had. Can't even be called food. People who like this place must have no tastebuds. The cheese sauce is Velveeta cheese and not even hot(temperature nor flavor ). The enchiladas were horrible(one bite) was all I got down.I've never pushed a plate of food away, till I ate here. My wife and our friends were just as disappointed as I was. Worst experience with a place I was excited at first to try. Our group ordered most of the menu because we were hungry and excited to try a new restaurant. The whole menu needs to be fixed. They should try adding flavor and real food to the menu. Not real Mexican food. Can't even call it Tex-mex. Just bad. read more

I hesitate to post this review because I know the restrictions right now with COVID. However, I feel as if someone should see this. The things that make Uncle Julio's unique has been removed from the menu. We had a hard time finding really anything we enjoyed from the previous times we have visited including. The waitress was very nice in explaining things but it just seems a bit excessive on the restrictions. We could get the same items for half the price somewhere else. It's the experience that makes Uncle Julio's successful. Please bring that back. read more

The food was fantastic, the waitress was fantastic, and the chocolate piñata dessert made a birthday that much more special. We'll be back for sure! read more

Ive had issues every time I've tried to eat at this place. Probably the least accommodating restaurant I've ever been to. They tell you reservations are full but come in and put your name on list, you go in and they give you an hour wait time with a completely empty restaurant. Other times I've called and one person says they have availability and the next person says there isn't. Don't understand how every other restaurant has figured out this process but they haven't. Bright side: food is good. Just get a reservation a month ahead of time. read more

The food was great! The only thing wrong is the server didn't refill my drink, yet she keep coming to the table to ask how everything is. The pricing is a little on the high end. Lunch for two people with no liquor is 48.00. The only major complaint is the parking and entrance is a long walked. Really don't know if I would come back due to the long walked to the entrance from parking, and the pricing. read more
