After stating my intent, the bar tender/server motioned at the tables and told me to sit anywhere, apparently disappointed that I wasn't there to drink at the bar. Let's hope the food is better, I thought. I ordered their fish tacos with a side of black beans and rice. The food was delivered on par with other lunch joints and their salsa and chips were good. When asked whether they had hotter salsa, the waitress (not the first guy) obliged me with a small bowl of their hot stuff. I was not disappointed. Be sure to ask for some if you like your food on the spicy side. The tacos were served on a wheat tortilla, as requested, and were good. The fish was cod and was flaky and flavorful. The rice and beans were, well, rice and beans. Adding their hot salsa soon set things right, however. Considering everything, it was an adequate lunch. I doubt I'll ever go back though. There are a lot of better choices within five minutes of this place.

One friend very much enjoyed the fried tilapia tacos with sides of their amazing black beans and rice; my other friend thought her cheese quesadilla was outstanding with lots of gooey cheese in the center. Of course, we ordered the chips and three salsas to start, along with a side of the freshest and best guacamole ever - oh, so good! And the frozen El Cheapo margarita I had was just right - and is $2 off before 5 pm. Thanks, BelAir Cantina, for never letting me down!

There are a couple of notes on the front door--one mentions that some menu items have an upcharge and recommends asking your waiter for details, while another states that there's an additional charge for using a credit card due to processing fees. It's good to know these things in advance. I do wish the menu listed which items have an upcharge, but I assume the waiter would mention it when ordering. I ordered a "Create Your Own Combo" meal with one quesadilla and rice and beans since I wasn't too hungry (plus, I have a hard time resisting the free chips and salsa). The salsa is nothing special but does the job. We also ordered the Choridip, which was great with the chips and as a topping for our entrees. My husband got the steak fajitas. The food came out quickly and in generous portions, so we had leftovers to take home. Unfortunately, my chicken quesadilla was a bit disappointing--the meat was watery, which made the tortilla soggy. Overall, it's not a bad spot for the price, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

It came with a salted rim, lemon and lime garnish and fresh chopped Jalepenos mixed in. Very good, and not too spicy. For dinner, I ordered the Ceviche. This did have some spice to it, and was fantastic. Everything was incredibly fresh, and cut into perfect bite sized pieces. The side of tostadas was a nice way to pause the zesty flavor. The sliced cucumbers were a refreshing touch, and the sliced avocado was nice and tender. This is a great spot to drop in and have great Mexican food. The salad was small and awful. Minuscule amounts of lettuce and ground beef, but tons of beans. The steak bits were over cooked. Dinner took an hour and a half.

The menu has all the standard Mexican fare with breakfast to dinners and ala cart items. Not knowing that this was the Buenavista that I was already familiar with I ordered the steak burrito ala cart for $5.50 which is the truck price and seemed like an error but I forked over $6 and left with take out because it was going to be dinner later. After I did some research when I got home I realized that this was not a new find and just a new location, I have had some great new finds lately with Mexican food so I was psyched but it ended up being my most go to local Mexican stop in a new location which is not bad because the nachos are so satisfying.
