Wanted to try some local fare before heading out of town, so I was directed to try Uncle Henry's. They were given high marks from a few locals, so we went for lunch because they close at 3pm. We ordered the loaded nachos, the Woopig sandwich with a side of mustard potato salad and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Burger with a side of cowboy beans. Food came out very quickly, it was hot and fresh, tasted good and was very filling. The chicken bacon ranch burger was definitely very filling and had a nice hit of smokiness. It was how a sandwich should be from a bbq place. My hubby's nacho were fresh, loaded with pulled pork and crispy deliciousness. His hot link sandwich had a split and grilled hot link, pulled pork and some of their smoky bbq sauce. He chose NOT to get it with the coleslaw, which I feel would've really been a bonus of goodness. He ate every single crumb! What would a lunch be without dessert? We got the butterfinger cake and I asked for the chocolate pie, but ended up with the pecan. No complaints from me there. Pecan IS my favorite, but I was actually getting two my husband likes, so if he didn't really like the one, I could trade him for the other. Both were just perfect. Perfect pecan pie and the butterfinger cake was a nice light surprise. If you just HAPPEN to be traveling thru or actually are visiting the little town of Sheridan, AR, I recommend trying Uncle Henry's BBQ if you're looking for good food, decently priced. Pros: great service, rustic hometown atmosphere, great food. 10/10 on the sliced brisket and baked beans, pulled pork beats anything around here as well. The owner is always so nice and professional. Cons: I can't eat their great food for dinner due to them closing at 3pm. read more

Uncle Henry's is a favorite of Sheridan folks. And the bbq is good. But coming from Memphis where BBQ, Elvis, BB, Ramses, and Jerry Lawler are Kings, expect good bbq here. Not great bbq like Memphis has. I can't complain. Service ok. Ambiance is open for discussion. read more

The Brisquit dinner was excellent, the portions were adequate which kept the prices at a very reasonable level which i really appreciated. I was full but not stuffed which left room for a yummy fried apple pie with ice cream, the service couldn't have been any better. read more

We had a great lunch today at Uncle Henry's BBQ in Sheridan AR today. Their pulled pork was the best we've had since we've been in AR.The Cowboy Beans were awesome. But, the best part was not on the menu! We met The Uncle Henry a friendly, funny and all around great guy! Ex Viet Nam Marine! Thank you! Highly recommend. We enjoyed the BBQ sandwiches. Tried the cowboy baked beans everyone recommends and they were good. Lots of food choices. The ONLY place to get great BBQ in Sheridan! I LOVE LOVE their pulled pork, especially in that righteous sandwich they serve! Hands down, the BEST chef salad in this county and beyond! Uncle Henry's used to be a produce stand and they still sell some produce and homemade goodies (like jams, jellies, molasses) along with their excellent smoked meats, dinners, sandwiches, and more. And that's why I like the chef salad -- smoked ham and chicken, generous servings at more than reasonable prices, tasty in-season vegetables (tomatoes!). There's no soda fountain (tea or canned drinks) and the parking can be a little bit tough, but it's well worth the stop. read more

What a fabulous lunch! I had a burger and the cowboy beans were out of this world! My husband had brisket so tender that it melted in his mouth. Quick to get the large portions served hot. Lizzie, the owner's daughter was a delight. I highly recommend this place. read more
