Happened upon this hidden gem while traveling through. The service was great, and we got our order very fast! We had the crawfish tails, pickle chips, brisket, catfish, smoked sausage, & chicken fried steak. All the sides were good but the Mac n cheese was a fan favorite. Everything was delicious & portions were generous. We were there at a weird hour but I imagine during peak times this place would be packed! During a weekday lunch, a large group of us visited Wright's Ranch House at the recommendation of some local folks. I'm so glad we listened to them!! As we entered the restaurant, we were quickly greeted with southern accents, smiling faces, and a table made almost perfectly for the 10 of us. Our waitress was cheery and helpful, explaining menu items to those of us who weren't familiar with some of them. I ordered the chicken and dumplings on special that day, paired with a side of green beans.... so good!!! Everything was so flavorful and easy to eat, and although I don't usually eat such a large lunch I found myself wishing for another serving. Those around me ordered items like the country fried chicken and hamburger steak, which all looked similarly delicious. And of course, most people finished their meal with a crispy fried pie (basically every flavor you can think of) and they were a total hit!! The food was affordable and delicious, our waitress was incredible at revealing to us her southern charm, and everything else about the experience was really enjoyable. This place needs work. Add some seasoning to the food. Got brisket and pork dinners. The price was great but the ice cream scoop size of indistinguishable meat was underwhelming, both were same color and taste...bland. The presentation was great, as expected but the spoonful I ate reminded me of high hopes fallen short. The place had a typical bbq hole in the wall vibe, a plus. Just work in the taste of the food. We searched on Yelp for a local restaurant to stop for a quick lunch and found Wright's Ranch House. They had great burgers, home style cooking meats and vegetables and salads. The service was prompt and friendly. But, the food was awesome Everything we ordered was delicious. "Cornbread salad" was to die for as well as chicken fried steak! Was in town for work. Great low brow dining spot. Food was great, atmosphere was very homespun, but would stop by again if in the area.

Don't skip on this place. Looks like a dive but really homey inside. The food selection is great and can tend to want everything on the menu because it all sounds soo good. Ok guys. After eating here I've concluded. It's great!!! And those pies. So many choices. However the fudge fried pie didn't quite get cooked long enough due to there was still sugar grains still present. I have eaten here twice now. Let's start with the good. The service was good both times. First visit we had multiple people waiting the table which caused a bit of confusion but decent service nonetheless. The next visit we just had one waitress. She was excellent. The fried pickles are excellent. Very salty but what do you expect. They are pickles. They come with a side of ranch. Unfortunately it is out of a bottle. Would be better if it was made in house. First visit I got a pork sandwich. The barbecue is pretty decent. Nothing extra special but definitely solid. The next time I got pork ribs. I wasn't happy with them at all. The membrane was left on the back and they were still very tough. Very difficult to eat. I won't order them again. The Mac and cheese was good but has jalapeño. I wasn't expecting that. It could catch you off guard. I enjoyed it though. The loaded potato salad is good but tastes like the Cisco kind. Not like one made in house. It is good regardless. Despite these things we will be back. It is all decent and the prices are very good. read more

There were four of us on a road trip, and we found Wright's on Google. Service was excellent, the food was great, and priced well. So why only three stars? Well, I have travelled a fair amount, both in the US, Canada, and Europe. I have eaten in a lot of restaurants in that time. I've also used a lot of restaurants in that time too. Previously, the worst one was in New Orleans some 25 years ago. Let me tell you that the restaurant in the Pine Bluff Wright's Ranch House was by far the worst EVER. The floors were sticky, there was mould on the wall, and the garbage can was jammed waist high between the sink and the wall to the urinal. I was afraid for my life. The question is: is their kitchen cleaned to those same standards? I did love their food, but would never, ever, go back. My health is too important. read more

I should be able to rate this a 6 star as I'm from Fort Worth TX and came to eat dinner at this lil bbq joint, for work with a tech and his family. As I walked in I felt more than welcome by the staff and the environment of decoration and tin ceiling had me feeling like I was right at home. The waitresses were on top of everything I needed as I arrived early to chill and have a beer before rest of folks arrived. I did not catch her name but there was a sweet lil blonde waitress that kept the drinks filled and ensured I didn't starve before ordering the entree :) she is a rockstar. Now to the food, tech and myself had the BBQ sampler and knew when it arrived there would be leftovers for a 2nd meal and it was only $17!!! The sausage, pork, brisket and ribs were amazing. This was our first trip to Pine Bluff from California, so the restaurants took a little getting used to, but I really liked this restaurant because it's closer to what we're used to. I do love how polite our waitress was and the restaurant was nice and clean and the food was good. I had the shrimp dish, my husband had the sausage dish and my son had the top sirloin. Was probably one of the most overpriced places that I have ever ate at the steak was a ribeye 12 ounce that look like something I bought at Walmart for two for 10 wouldn't recommend to anybody but would say that the waitress was really nice and everyone seem to do their job outside of the kitchen I ordered a steak well done and it looked more like it was medium rare and the coleslaw and tartar sauce was horrible read more

This place is pretty good. It is not the best barbecue joint in the area, but it is a solid choice. The pulled pork sandwich is really big, and delicious. The service is quick and solid and the people are nice. The only downside are the appetizers. They are definitely lacking. They are either fried or just not very good. The entrees are great though.
