There are 3 things I always order at a Mexican restaurant: a margarita, a side of black beans, and guacamole. Imagine my surprise when I end up in the only Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at that doesn't serve margaritas! (Something about their location being too close to a church or school‍). I decided to stay and just order the food I like. Well, this restaurant only serves refried beans or Charro beans, not black beans. I ordered the guacamole and was not disappointed. The server gave me a choice of chunky or smooth. I chose chunky and it came out with halves of avocado, roughly chopped on a bed of pico, lightly seasoned. Just what I wanted! There was no question about the guac's freshness. So even though I struck out on 2 of the 3 things I like at a Mexican restaurant, the guacamole and good service made me give this place 4 stars for the experience. read more

This place deserves more than 5 stars! Before we even got to our table they had chips waiting as if they knew we were coming. The food came out within 5 minutes of ordering and it just kept coming. Both of our meals came with rice and beans, tortillas (corn obvi), and a lil salad. The portions were so HUGE! Talk about two meals in one and I'm not mad about it. Our server was also super amazingly attentive and sweet. I've never had service like this and you can tell they all work as a team. Shoutout to the kitchen and the FOH staff you guys are killing it! A Mexican restaurant that doesn't disappoint, this is the type of restaurant you should go to when you are looking for something good and in a time crunch. The folks at El Perion were masters at what they do, placing warm chips and cold salsa on our table before we were even seated. As soon as we were comfortable, they came to take our drink orders and our food orders. I ordered the vegetarian quesadilla, which came out hot within minutes. As you can tell since I didn't attach a photo, it was so good I couldn't even wait to take a picture! Filled with delicious veggies and paired a few sides, this meal filled me up and left me feeling very satisfied. Had we not stuck around to chat, we could've easily been in and out within 30 minutes. This is a no frills Mexican restaurant, but they really know their stuff. I was comfortable the whole time and very thankful we stopped here. read more

This is my favorite Mexican spot in Pine Bluff. I have lived in Mexico and I'm very picky about Mexican food being authentic. They do very well. They have great chips and salsa, make a decent Margarita. Matter of fact, I prefer a Mexican drink called a Vampiro and only about 10% of Mexican restaurants make them here. El Parian does! My favorite thing here is the Chile Relleno's. And they are perfect here! I can't wait to go again! read more

We had the Bulldog tonight and as always very good. The service was above average and very quick to refill the drinks. Everyone was helping on all tables. The music played softly in the background which made at ambiance very nice. I always get some extra hot sauce and they brought out a new one on me. You have to ask for it. read more

Just happened to find this place while searching for "Mexican food near me" as we drove across AR. It wasn't far off the highway, clean, good atmosphere, excellent service, great prices, and a large menu. We had six in our party and everyone was more than happy with their meal. We ordered the guacamole appetizer and it had fresh avocados with pico etc that you mash yourself with a pestle. Salsa was good. Chips were hot and crisp, portions were average to large (we left with three take home boxes). Have we had better? Yes, but with much higher prices and higher expectations. If you're not a Mexican food snob, you will be very satisfied. read more

We were in town for just one night. Stopped at El Parian for dinner and was not disappointed. Started with the chunky guaco (a real avocado cut-up atop pico de gallo) - wow, that was delish. The chips were toasty and thin, with the best flavor and crunch. I had the beef chimichanga and hubs had two a la carte tacos. The salsa was super, too. We loved everything we ordered! When we were leaving, a table was being set-up for 14 at 8 pm on a Sunday night. That was a good testament to this sweet lil' restaurant. read more
