Here we go, So this supermarket is a bit new for me. Its in a great location. Just so happen I was shopping on 110 and saw this Uncle Giuseppes location was now open among other stores that I visited ,I decided to go take a peek just to see if they had more or less than the Deer park location. We'll its about the same . I love the organic fruits and veggies. Their organization of the store was immaculate. I decided to try their breakfast . It was delicious. Overall prices were really reasonable. The meats look so good and fresh. Because this store is a bit out of my way I will go back to the store in my area. I can't say enough good things about Uncle G's. I dream of the day they make their way down to south Florida ( Broward county please ) I grew up coming here as a kid and wow was it special to bring my kids back to the same one I would visit. Their eyes lit up as much as mine did when I first experienced uncle G's. We got a little bit of everything and enjoyed the various samples we tried. The Italian sushi was too cute not to get and absolutely no regrets. The cold seafood salad sample I had made me feel like I was a kid at Christmas. The dessert selection is insane a truly beautiful sight to see. You can't go wrong with the ravioli or any pasta they offer here. I also made sure to get a fat chunk of parm to take home with us. The chocolate treats are insane we got 6 Dubai chocolates and now that I'm thinking about it we should've gotten way more!! I would say to appreciate this place more if you live in the area and I look forward to coming back every time I'm near one. 10/10 can't wait to come back and at the beginning of my trip so we can enjoy more of the homemade items during our stay. Very impressed by how well the place presented itself. Very clean, neat, fully stocked and an immense variety of items. The prices are reasonable. The best asset? The people working there! Smiling, ready to help, one can really feel the love. And they didn't charge me for a fancy bag. The the prepared seafood section really caught my attention; the calamari salad was the best I ever seen, so was the octopus salad, the amount of vegetables on the mix was perfect and the choice was right on! Most stores exaggerate the amount of veggies in order to increase profit, they don't! Once again, I'm amazed by this store and I wish there were a lot more around Long Island. Probably my favorite supermarket in the world. It's the pinnacle of suburban New York groceries. The prepared foods is top tier as far as grocery stores. I usually come here for lunch if I'm working in the area. The to go options are a robust as I've seen. Very reliable and varied sushi section. Custom and prepared salad options. Full pizzeria. Sandwiches, soups, and tons of prepared foods / deli counter fixtures. Beyond the prepared foods is the pasta and mozzarella labs where fresh batches are continuously rolled out. Enormous cheese section with samplings always available. Huge selection of in-house refrigerated and jarred sauces. A beer selection that's on par with almost any beer shop on LI. Complete selection of western produce. Huge meat and fish counters too. Possibly the best selection of dairy isle products. And full size baker with desserts and breads to boot! This doesn't even cover half the store! Just the isles and section that I browse! It's always clean and organized here. Plenty of open registers; I almost always find an open one or only need to wait behind one customer. They also have plenty of seating if you want eat there. read more

Beautiful store. Many departments. Clean, lots of help, seating area to eat, with bathrooms available. Store is packed with goods. When I went to pay, my bill came to $34.42. Handed the cashier $40.42. She was immediately lost. Don't ask. Took out her phone for the calculator app. Couldn't figure that out, either. Finally another cashier came and told her what to do. Perhaps this person belongs in another department, not wasting my time trying to do simple arithmetic, which is a cashier's main responsibility. Poor management. read more

My friends & I went back to Uncle Guiseppe's recently : We LOVED IT ! (Hard to believe I'm writing a review about grocery shopping!) Made a day of it - once again, we went there to eat lunch *before* we began our grocery shopping. Food service area did NOT disappoint: clean, fresh, & DELICIOUS ! Great stuff too if you love Sushi ! Kudos to the Sushi chefs for the excellent selection. Love the Kani (crab) salad, Naruto rolls, fresh Salmon, Tuna, salads & so much more. In this review, I'd especially like to commend Mandi D'A (from Uncle G's call center), Jacky S (Customer Service manager) & Kathleen D (Front-End bookkeeper and CX desk lead cashier associate). Mandi D'A was my first point of contact when I initially called the corporate offices & left a message for Uncle Giuseppe's Customer Experience Supervisor, Mr Edward C. Mandi D'A was polite, professional & very helpful. Edward C returned my call promptly- he was also extremely professional & with the help of Mandi D'A, they were able to respond to my query regarding their super cool insulated red grocery bags-which are great by the way! During my latest visit, I took lots of pictures (included here), to exemplify how appetizing, tempting (bakery anyone ?), clean, fresh, & appealing all of Uncle Guissepe's food is. I met with Jacky S, Kathleen D, just to say hello and let them know we brought along 2 more friends with us to EXPERIENCE Uncle Giuseppe's. Going above and beyond is standard practice at Uncle Giuseppe's The bakery, OMG, the 'grab & go' refrigerated items- outstanding selection, the deli -great selection, clean & fresh - am I leaving anything out ? During this visit, I had the pleasure of meeting the store manager, Robert S, who was busy in the fresh deli/appetizer area when I asked where I could find 'MUSH' (overnight oats- as seen on Shark Tank). Of course, Uncle Guiseppe's had it & Robert S took me right to it, He also pointed out other new & related items nearby. He was extremely personable, knowledgeable & professional. It was my first time to order their pizza. My son liked it so much and he now wanted it on a weekly base. The thin crust pizza was extremely simple but delivered so much flavors. The perfect balance between sweetness of tomato sauce and savory cheese used plus crispy thin crust that held all ingredients steadily. Simply wonderful! What made me feel great today at UG was such a small gesture by horning customers a $20 gift card (without even a photo to prove that there was a piece of hair on the edge of the cake I purchased 12 days ago), was such a classy, kind and generous gesture. In addition, it enlightened me on an outlook of how life should be, with goodwill, trust, and munificence. I am so happy that we decided to check out this store when we were in the area. They had a solid amount of foods that they were sampling. I was able to have some different cheeses and they were all really good. I was also about to try some other things throughout the store. All the employees there seemed to be in good spirits which was really nice. It seemed like all of the hot food that they sold were very high quality. We picked up a few items. so this location was pretty impressive. It's one of the bigger locations and I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a live singer, which supposedly comes to all of the locations, but this gentleman was different than the other locations. The store was huge I actually had to grab a blanket from my trunk considering how cold it was. I spent a lot of time in here and it's really difficult not to walk out paying less than $200 because the groceries are so fresh in comparison to the other supermarkets in the area. I placed an order on Friday for Sunday for St Joseph pastries and sfigatelli my order was delivered but instead of 6 canola filled pastries I ordered I received custard filled and obviously they had been packed the evening before they were sad looking and the sfigatelli were not crisp as fresh ones would be I contacted the store I give them the one star because the curbside person did acknowledge the mistake and said she would deliver 6 of the correct pastry but she needed the wrong ones back but I wondered what do they do with food item that's taken back do they resell it?! All in all the pastries were blah tasting and not fresh I do thank the curbside mgr for delivering the correct ones as promised within an hour I won't be buying anything from their bakery as I've gotten other stale items from there read more

My family and i and friends have been shopping here for years, mainly on weekends. love the music and used to love the cheese samples-- until today. We noticed no more multiple cheese samples!! Just one type of cheese when for years, there were 3-4 cheeses at various tables. The guy at cheese section non chalantly said , 'oh- no more cheeses'. A very big disappointment. Pretty unfriendly too. There was also no more bread samples- not sure if permanent. Definitely wont be coming back as much. Sad read more

I'm sorry to report that Uncle G has disappointed. Wife went in for italian hero, pastrami sub and eggplant hero. I' m going to have to show them how to do it right. Italian hero was not fresh and was made for a midget; pastrami sub also very small and dry as the sahara; eggplant was nothing to write home about. Taste not there. When you pay high prices for a prepared food you expect WOW. Below average grades on all three. Been shopping here since it opened. Came in today and bought groceries which cost $343. Asked an assistant front end manager for help finding Marsala wine. "that kind of thing is in aisle 1" as she walked away. Asked another assistant manager who was speaking to the lady handing out free bacon. "Check aisle 1" before returning to speak with the bacon clerk. Then went to the actual custom service desk where assistant manager 3 said, "that stuff is in Aisle 1". I replied "I know I am not smart but my autistic son and I looked three times. I studied that aisle more than I did for the bar exam." Manager 4, nice young man, walked to Aisle 1 with me and confirmed the product wasn't there. He asked his boss if there were any in stock and his boss said he would check "later." Finally, a very nice young man came back to Aisle 1, confirmed again the item was not there, checked the in store stock on the compute, only to inform me that the item was out of stock. I thanked him. Asked to meet the store manager who was also very nice. I told him the above story, and informed him that this $343 basket would no my last purchase ever in this store. One which I've shopped at for years. The state of customer service is so bad that the assistant managers didn't even seem to care. read more

I love shopping at Uncle Giuseppe's, the quality, freshness, and cleanliness of their butcher department, I purchased all my steaks, hamburgers, my fish, and my poultry. I never look at their prices, their quality always seems to be top-notch. The deli department, and their prepared food department, always look nice, gleaming & clean. When I purchase, again I never look at the prices, I only look at the quality. Now you can look at all my reviews, I never give a bad review, except for this one time, I don't know what's wrong with the BAKERY DEPARTMENT, but now three times that I have purchased, lobster tails from the bakery department, they have been total CRAP, today I purchased 7 of them, 6 in one box, and one in a paperBag, to have with a cup of that cappuccino, I went outside, the lobster tail, was just one big piece of mush, after the first bite, I finish drinking my coffee, put the lobster tail in the cup, went home and put it in the garbage. Then at 3 o'clock, about two hours after I purchased them, a couple of my friends came by, I open the box, and all six of the lobster tails, were just as mushy, as the one earlier. We did not eat any of them, we just threw them all away. The department manager, has to tell his employees, that if you see pastries that are really, in bad shape to Not sell them to customers. I know prices of ingredients are high, but the profit margin on pastries, is even higher, so if you have throw out some pastries before you sell them, I'm sure your bottom line will not be affected. read more

From my first purchase years ago to Sunday's weekly haul I have been in love with Uncle G's. Each Sunday I take the most beautiful drive to Melville to shop the aisles chock full of treats. The staff at Uncle Giuseppe's Melville is INCREDIBLY friendly and warm! The roving Frank Sinatra style singer is one of the reasons I return each week. I find myself singing along as I toss nearly everything I pass in my cart. The STAR of the show though is the food. The side salads and dishes that I purchase are insanely tasty. I just finished a side of roasted acorn squash and pistachios that accompanied a chicken slider with cheese and parsley. Such excellence. Sure the prices are slightly higher than your regular chain but I will gladly pay for the quality of each selection. See you on Sunday! read more

By far the best market specializing in Italian food I've been to me and my girlfriend spent over two hours in there and had a blast samples of cheese and different pastas, raviolis sauces, sausages, baked clams the hot food and deli area was unbelievable. Only took about five minutes for my ticket order to be called, one of the largest selection of food especially all the different pasta, salads, chicken salads. Next time I have a party I am definitely catering from this place. They have an amazing selection of gluten-free, which is important to us. I shop at this particular location all the time for many years. I decided to bring my cousin down to get a cup of fresh brewed coffee and to shop. As I have been going there for years. I know that they close the coffee department at eight o'clock. I got there at 7:45 pm. There was no one behind the counter so I waited thinking the woman stepped away for a minute.. 10 minutes go by and then I went up to the front desk and spoke to Santiagel the store manager. He told me at that point that they had closed the coffee Cafe early. I told him I was waiting there before they closed. And if he knew they were closing early, at least have the common respect to put a sign up so people won't waste their time. He just blew me off like he didn't even care. From now on I will go down the road to panera bread. I also had asked him weeks ago to order blue bunny soft ice cream in the container.(they have it only in the bars and ice cream sandwiches). He Obviously did not tell me the truth and never ordered it. Unfortunately uncle giuseppe's became too independent. In my line of work, the customers always come first. You should treat them with courtesy and respect. From now on I will be shopping at Stop and Shop. And yes they have blue bunny soft ice cream! read more

I came here recently as I was in the area. My goal walking in was to pickup a couple of filet's for dinner. I found them in the vast meat section (their meat selection is insane). When I looked at the price/lb I was a bit taken back. $24.99/lb of filet seemed a bit high. Considering the cuts didn't look all that big, I wasn't sure about it. I'd love to give them another shot and I'm sure I will at some point. This place is huge with practically everything you can think of. Definitely worth checking out! read more
