Moscatos Bakery Thanksgiving day. Note: parking problem / the curb II's high. If your car is low , please leave space or it will scrape the bottom of your front number. A steady line of people, a crew working behind the counter . Re cupcakes- I asked for 2 of each. Got 3 an 1. ( see pix) That's ok as all are yellow cake and topped with a rather thick Lardy - I want to say- buttercream. Cake is fresh and soft. Also got a loaf of bread and a cheese danish.

Gluten Free Birthday Cake - Vanilla Cake with Cannoli Filling

A heartfelt thank you to Franco Moscato and the whole team for executing not only one 40th Birthday cakes but two! The Sagittarius vintage heart cake was gluten free due to a family member having celiac disease. It was absolutely delicious and had a hint of lemon taste to the vanilla cake, which was delightful. My brother-in-law asked if he could bring home the leftovers for him to enjoy, which was a compliment in itself! The Union Restaurant in Eisenhower Park took great care of it, while eating dinner for Part I of my 40th Birthday celebration. As for Part II, of the celebrations we enjoyed a tiered carrot cake which was perfectly moist and paired well with a cappuccino at Bijou. Moscato Bakery was well known by the establishment and it lit up their eyes when they saw the gold sticker on the box. Both cakes were made to perfection via images given and were more than enough for the amount of guests at each celebration. I highly recommend Franco and Bakery for all special occasions and baked goods. Cheers, to 40 and fabulous! Thank you again for making my 40th Birthday celebrations memorable and a piece of cake.

/// SPECIAL DIET options: --Gluten-free: pignoli cookie, amaretti cookie, and cannoli, maybe something else, but that seems about it. The amaretti were really beyond expectations. Didn't try the others --Sugar-free: there's a case of sugar-free baked goods, but I didn't pay much attention to it so I can't say much more /// I've been a patron 3 times, and every time has been a fantastic overall experience. We bought blueberry and apple pies (above average, and relatively cheap compared to other bakeries). I ordered over the phone a custom chocolate cake (chocolate pudding filling) and they had it ready for me to pick up on the day and time I requested. The cake was I think 5" across and just about as tall, for $15. Also extremely satisfied with quality of product. Today I walked in and the person at the counter (I'm going to guess one of their owners) was very friendly and patient with my indecisiveness. I ended up getting the pictured items (custard-filled eclair, cannoli, chocolate cake, and jelly donut) for $6. Haven't eaten all yet, but the donut and eclair were great. They fill the cannoli to order so the shell doesn't get soggy, she says. I used to go to Dortoni in Levittown, and they're great, but I like Moscato better.

Fresh baked bread, friendly staff, family owned. The cakes are all fantastic, but the Rainbow/cannoli cake is off the charts!

The displays were filled with a nice variety of butter cookies, cakes, doughnuts and other classic pastries. Everything "looked" good, but the taste was just average. I would have pushed it to a 3 star review, but the young man behind the counter wasn't very friendly. The store was as empty when we went in so it wasn't like he was busy trying to take orders quickly. We told the young man that we would be ordering a variety of butter cookies and he looked at us annoyed and continued to serve us with a similar attitude. I guess maybe this is the expected service from the generation nowadays? I just expected more from a place that appeared so charming. The rainbow cookies seem to have anise in it, which is a bit odd for a rainbow cookies, and the chocolate coating was not very cocoa forward. It was also lacking jam. We were also really excited about the chocolate sandwiched butter cookies, but while the cookie itself was fresh, the ganache was missing the rich chocolatey flavor. Instead, it almost tasted like carob or some sort of diluted chocolate instead. The cookies itself were also not buttery enough, though they did taste freshly baked. All in all, Francesco isn't something to write home about and it's not a place I'd visit again.

To start, they "brownies" are not actual brownies. They are individual slices of cake. I didn't notice this 2 years ago but having it again last night, the Cadbury brownie tastes like a layered sheet cake made from box mix. The frosting on top wasn't too sweet, but certainly doesn't carry the richness of Cadbury chocolate. In a slice this simple, there's really no place to hide and paying that much for something that taste like it was battered out a box is not worth it in my opinion. The Dubai chocolate slice tasted better, but tbh, the Dubai chocolate cake from Costco not only tastes better but has a better price point! I was really excited to try their ice cream - I loved their flavor choices, but that's where my fondness pretty much stopped. The pints were pricey and taste super home made (not in a good way). The ice cream was hard and while it tasted like sweet cream, it was definitely not churned enough to carry a smooth texture. They pints were Van Leeuwen prices but the taste and texture was far from quality ice cream. In this case, I much rather pick up a pint of Hagen Daz, again much better price point and better quantity. The store is pretty but I won't be returning.

Jamie a pleasant young lady, was working there. She was please to see that first review from Kimarley L. as I shared with her and it made her day. She shared information with me that Sandy is the person she works for and rents out the space for this Cupcake counter. The cupcakes are baked with the same ingredients that are used for the other baked goods at Franchescos Bakery. They do serve coffees and have a variety of cupcakes along with packs for 4. I got two beignets today, a whipcream and strawberry and a custard one. I ate into the one and found while there is a fresh strawberry on top the inside is gloppy with more like jelly strawberries inside. The whip cream is hard and not fluffy. Have not tried the other one yet. Perhaps other types will be better. Something else to note , the windows need shades or blinds. When the sun comes in everything in there gets hot . The credit card machine ( at 4% ) paper cost is very hard to see in the bright morning light. An update today, got my complementary cup cake today from many sport themed choices. I chose the baseball. I noticed and noted cupcakes in the bakery window. Jamie noted that theirs are medium-size not with filling and they a select amount of character cupcakes as well. Where's as the Get Baked ones have filling and are the large size.
