I was at this place ordered a tiramisu cake and wasn't cheap either they make me a ugly pastry cream cake with sheet cake layers , not even close to a tiramisu cake with mascarpone lady fingers coffe liqueur and a good cinnamon coco a mix , then the owner and baker was telling me I didn't know the history of tiramisu , not humble at all this guy . Just bought an assortment of mini-Italian pastries from Moscato Bakery...OMG, the absolute best!! Every variety was so fresh and delicious...but I really must call out the amazing cannoli...I'm Italian and have had my share of cannoli from many bakeries, but these were AWESOME!! The shells are so crispy, and the filling is just the right amount of sweet, not overpowering and cloying like most others. I totally recommend and can't wait to go in and buy more!! Stopped in today for some dessert after a quick, casual dinner in town. Lots of choices of cookies, pastries and cakes. We ordered a Yellow cake with chocolate frosting that was very good. A heartfelt thank you to Franco Moscato and the whole team for executing not only one 40th Birthday cakes but two! The Sagittarius vintage heart cake was gluten free due to a family member having celiac disease. It was absolutely delicious and had a hint of lemon taste to the vanilla cake, which was delightful. My brother-in-law asked if he could bring home the leftovers for him to enjoy, which was a compliment in itself! The Union Restaurant in Eisenhower Park took great care of it, while eating dinner for Part I of my 40th Birthday celebration. As for Part II, of the celebrations we enjoyed a tiered carrot cake which was perfectly moist and paired well with a cappuccino at Bijou. Moscato Bakery was well known by the establishment and it lit up their eyes when they saw the gold sticker on the box. Both cakes were made to perfection via images given and were more than enough for the amount of guests at each celebration. Usually this place is great however the last time I went the owner was berating brand new employees - highly inappropriate.

As soon as you walk in the place smells incredible. Came in for a tasting for my wedding cake. So hard to choose everything he brought us out was amazing. Also took some pastries home. Definitely the best bakery in Long Island. read more

Cute little bakery in Bethpage. While we anxiously await our local bakery to be rebuilt, we were guided by a group to go to Moscato. Inside is clean, brightly-lit, and you're greeted with a friendly face (behind a mask, of course). Tons of mini pastries, full-size pastries, and cookies to choose from! A pound of minis goes for $15 which isn't too bad and you get quite the assortment that way. Everything we tried was delicious. You can tell everything here is freshly baked and the employees actually care about their job. They also have homemade pasta which I'm sure I will try at some point. $10 minimum to use plastic, which I disagree with, but still a great place to check out. read more

So disappointed was there 1PM today . The day before Easter no Italian bread, purchased 4 marble cookies when we got home we opened the box and the cookies were all burnt. We tried the mini Cannolis OMG what Italian puts LEMON flavor in Cannolis. There were no mini pastries to speak of. Ended up buying cake pieces. They are for tomorrow. This has been our go to bakery since they opened and I should have shown my appreciation earlier. Today was my son's 2nd birthday. I knew I wanted a Moscato Strawberry Shortcake to help make his day special so I ordered it ahead of time. When I arrived, I remembered I wanted to get him an Elmo cupcake, too. Only seeing Big Bird ones, I casually asked if any Elmo ones were were in the back. Next thing I know, I am being told I'll have an Elmo cupcake in five minutes. I was in need for a cake for my dad's 60th birthday cake and was recommended here by a friend. I called to place and order and it was quick and the worker made sure she had my order correct. She gave me great recommendations and made the order super easy. I picked up the cake and was in and out of the bakery in less than 2 minutes. Unfortunately, before the party started someone hit into the cake and the whipped cream on the outside was completely messed up. When I called Moscato bakery back they were super accommodating and told me they could fix it right away. They didn't charge anything for fixing it, they really went above and beyond. My family ordered a cake for my sisters bridal shower from this bakery. We had heard about this business from Facebook groups and friends in town and had decided to give it a try. My mom and aunt went in with an invitation reference- it's was eucalyptus leaves with gold writing. Which is exactly what she asked for when she described what she wanted as well. When they opened the box to show them the cake, it had generic buttercream flowers and writing which did not look gold. It was very dark and made it look brown. This design wasn't "bad", just not what was asked. On top of this, the cake looked like it had been sitting out since it was finished, so the buttercream had that old color residue that happens when it's not chilled, as well as it melting from the back corners of the cake. My mom and aunt asked to speak to the decorator who truly seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but there. He proceeded to say, "things get miscommunicated from the people in the front to the decorators all the time" and "decorating is art and subjective". He then told them that the writing was "their gold" and that was how the color would stay. First of all, if a customer gives you a reference you follow it. Second, if you do not understand what the customer is asking for, you ask as many questions to make sure it comes out close to what they imagine. If you cannot do the job communicate that and give the cake for someone else to finish. I grew up working in a bakery and it was always on the decorators and those who take the orders to double check with the customers to avoid confusion. My mom and aunt then asked if he could take the flowers and writing off, and just continue with green, and to please incorporate more leaves around the cake, and forget the gold writing. When this cake came back. My mouth was on the floor. I can only describe his work as spiteful. It made me laugh out loud in frustration. He placed poorly drawn leaves in an off center, uneven oval to the left of the cake (mind you this sheet cake fed over 60 PEOPLE. It was massive), he still used his poop brown gold writing after we asked not to, and he placed uneven green squiggles on the corners of the cake which can only be described as work that must've been done by a 5 year old whose mom put icing in a ziplock bag and cut it with a scissor. My mom was too shocked to even try to justify with this man so she took the cake and left. To which my sister and I then decided to try and wipe the cake ourselves and try and salvage it with our own tools we had and buttercream from Michael's. Until we started wiping the cake and realized the buttercream was too far gone to salvage, as it was falling off the sides. I am attaching these pictures below because I just need you all to see the monstrosity of this cake before and after it was redone (I've labeled them before and after) and ask yourself, would you give this out at your own daughters bridal shower or would you be pissed? Do not get sheet cakes from this place. I would assume fondant cakes are decorated differently and are a different specialty, but buttercream is not something I would ever recommend. And to FRANCO FROM MOSCATOS BAKERY, if you hate your job, quit. And if you can't take criticism for your work maybe you shouldn't be an artist. read more

I worked with Chef Franco to create an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday cake for my daughter's birthday and he did an amazing job! The cake was so beautifully made. It was a very busy cake with a lot of detail and Franco mastered each part of it. We received so many compliments from our guests and it tasted amazing!
