Our whole family loves this place, but our son in law from Michigan might be the biggest fan of all. He loves it so much he actually bought the T shirt, which says everything. When out of town family comes back and asks to eat here first, you know you've found a winner. The menu is honestly impressive. There is something for everyone, whether you want something simple or feel like trying a few different things. Everything we've ordered has been consistently great, and the quality never slips. The service is always top notch, friendly, and fast without feeling rushed. The location is easy to find, easy to order from, and perfect for takeout. When the weather is nice, the outdoor seating is a bonus and makes it even better.The idea of the place is great! Love the ambiance of it. Wow! Small hole in the wall right off of Dixie highway and the food was excellent! No indoor seating. You walk up to a window to order your food and either take it to go or sit at one of the outdoor picnic tables. We tried the gator bites, barbacoa tacos, southern style wings and the Mac & cheese. Everything was made to order and delicious...only negative was the gator bites were a bit salty. Very clean and portions were huge! We wanted to try the ribs but they weren't ready yet so will have to try those next time. Highly recommended! read more

For lunch I had loaded fries and a chicken melt. Needless to say that the food was absolutely perfect. Fries cooked perfectly with the most delicious brisket, and the chicken sandwich was so cheesy. It was everything the reviews said plus more. They have a fridge with a decent options of beer as well. Overall, this place was perfection. They have best Mac and cheese! It is smoky and lots of cheese!!! Ribs were tender! Burgers are huge!!! Very tasty! Love the egg on it. The gyros are so tasty and the lamb is very flavorful! This place to eat is a pretty much a to-go place, but they do have a picnic table. I bought the smoked Mac and Cheese with brisket and it was delicious! The best I've ever had. The menu is extensive with something on it to please everyone. Not much ambiance as it's a pick up and take home place for food. The employees were friendly about explaining what to order. I called take our restaurant and they said go into the dining room across the street and you can order from both restaurants at the same time! They are a basic no frills great food and great service. Haven't had fried chicken in many years as I have not found a good fried chicken. Took a ride to Uncle Chickens and I ordered the fried chicken with fries. Let me just say it was hot, crunchy and so freakin tasty. It comes with 8 big wings. My husband had a beef brisket sandwich which he said was also very tasty. They have this place (seating is outdoors) and next door a restaurant with iron pan meals. We're going to try the restaurant next. They have a chicken shack opening down the street soon. Used to go here a few years ago. The old dude that was there was very cool and made great chicken. I remember he used to also give out free Steve Will Do It merch so that was a plus also. Visited Uncle Chicken's today for the first in a few years and it was very mid. Chicken was very bland, seemed like it only had panko on it nothing else. They were out of slaw, Mac and cheese (which used to be my favorite) and ketchup. They also had us wait 30 minutes for our food. 3 pulled pork sandwiches and chicken tenders should not take that long. Would not visit again unless I know that they change it back to how it used to be. Would not recommend. read more

We had a memorable lunch at this road side restaurant. My wife had the soft shell chicken tacos (Tijuana Style) - She loved them - they had the perfect amount of spice. I had a bite and wholeheartedly agree. Next door (Uncle Chicken's Cast Iron Kitchen), has a different menu. I was able to score a couple of pieces of the most crisp chicken I have ever had. The chicken was moist and flavorful. This place is dangerous if you're on a diet. We both had a side of rice which was delicious. 3100th Review Sometimes you only get one chance to make a lasting impression - I know that may well be the case here, although I live relatively close to Uncle Chickens its a place I really ever took serious no matter what the reviews say, that is until recently. Boy oh boy have I missed out on some great food and now it seems I can't get enough of it. They are currently working to open an indoor version of this walk up restaurant right across the side street and I'm quite sure this option will be a success since dining outside here in NSB is somewhat seasonal. It only took one visit to get me addicted to the brisket sandwich it's the real deal, there's nothing that can replicate fourteen hours of real smoke or the perfect ratio of lean and fat (yes fat, true brisket lovers crave that flavorful combination) and of course the signature bark is validation of great brisket. Although the brisket is the main attraction on the sandwich the sauce and bun are equally as important - these sandwiches aren't created by accident, believe me there's lots of magic happening in Uncle Chickens kitchen. There's lots of other things to love here too - the brown bag full of hand-cut fries, the chicken and veggie plate gets high marks and for those that can think outside the box the fried gizzards are amazing, don't judge these against what you've experienced in the past, these gizzards are uniquely tender, flavorful and perfectly fried and paired with a delicious hot sauce for dipping, definitely a half pound of deliciousness or get the full pound and share. It would be impossible to review this place without applauding the staff, very friendly and accommodating there's no doubt they love what they do. We were on NSB and craving something delicious. No one on the staff that we saw were wearing masks. We ordered 2 gyros. The sign warned about possible long wait times. I was surprised it took 40 minutes for gyros, but the sun did warn me. The gyros were very good. I was surprised at how authentic they tasted. The fries came in a bag, that's how I like them. Food- not very much flavor just simple nothing out of the ordinary. Needs a signature sauce for its name. I had the tacos which were not worth it one bit. Way over priced and plain. Homemade fries are good and so is their sandwiches. I would skip the lamb and chicken gyros. They do not have much filling in them and barely any tzatziki sauce in them. We will be back to try more from the menu. read more

It's been a while since I last reviewed this place but I go every year at least a couple times when visiting the new Smyrna area. This time I tried their smoked wings for the first time and they were so good. Their hot garlic sauce is one of my favorite sauces for wings. A little spicy but a lot of garlic taste. I also had their smoked Mac and cheese, smoked beans, and smoked corn. All of them tasted great. The smoke just adds so much depth of flavor to all their foods. It looks like the indoor seating area is open now and I'd love to try it out sometime but I got this food to go this time.
