We had already had dinner but stopped in for a drink. It's located on Flagler Avenue right on the beach. There is seating both at and around the bar as well as windows everywhere so you can watch the waves roll in, people watch, etc. Parking can be tricky so come early if you want to use their lot as it's limited on spaces. There is a public pay lot across the street so you don't have to walk too far regardless of which you choose. One thing I had forgotten is that you have to drink your wine out of flimsy plastic cups. I always make a point to stop here for lunch while I am here at the beach. Consistently the best Long Island iced tea and excellent burgers. Of the years coming here I have had at least 2 burgers not good due to being overcooked. I have slowly ventured in trying other apps as the grilled shrimp and key lime season which is always yummy but this last time I had tried the chicken salad! What a sleeper hit. Chucky white meats on yummy tomatoes. The order offered crackers too but why when the tomato really added to it better! I always get the mushroom burger with Swiss and grilled onions. Delicious! It's a convenient location on the beach that has a decent view and it's located right next to the beach access ramps. Drinks weren't anything special. serving food on paper plates and drinks in plastic cups made it seem like a cheap dive bar, which at the end of the day it really was. Got some seats at the counter by the window looking out at the beach and ocean. It was a colder and windy day so not crowded on the beach or inside. We were greeted quickly and ordered some drinks for the kids and a beer for my husband and I. I had the mushroom burger. It was good and I enjoyed it, but nothing special. My youngest did the kids chicken fingers and she liked them. My oldest did the shrimp skewers and she said they were delicious! Hubs did the Blackened Mahi Mahi and he said it was cooked perfectly. Great live atmosphere. You just have to seat yourself by finding a table and standing near it until the people eating leave. There's no seating structure at all. Once I hounded the patrons for a seat, we sat and ordered wings, BBQ Burger and BLT. Everything we ordered was great but the wing sauce was less vinegary than a traditional wing sauce so I had to combine the medium to the hot. After that, it was awesome. Everyone was happy with their meals. What impressed me was the waitress, a black haired thin woman. She was so nice and very attentive to everyone she was serving on chaos. Breakers is an iconic oceanfront spot here in Smyrna worth visiting again, and again, and again. I grew up coming here often enough and almost always take newbies to the area here just for the fun of the space, the place, and that view! Food's pretty good too. That burger, whoa; and those "Key Lime" shrimps, tho! They're often too busy for me but they're also one of the few places I'll do even when they're crowded. Lots of fun. They can handle the crowds. And they don't have money grab prices, something of a rarity these days. Love, love, love them. this place is an absolute shit hole! Went to the bar and asked them how long it would take for them to cook chicken tenders because my kids were starving on the beach. I was very calm and collective and told the guy that if it was gonna take any longer than 30 minutes that I would just go ahead and find another place to eat.. of course the bartender tells me it would take 10 minutes, however, I wait at the bar for at least 30 to 40 minutes for the chicken tenders. When I asked for an update (not rude, but annoyed being my wife was blowing me up asking me what was taking so long), the bartender decided to start getting mouthy with me and saying things like: "this isn't McDonald's" under her breath. Clearly loud enough for me to hear her. Ironically enough, she wasn't even my bartender! she was just some random lady annoyed that I was annoyed because I was asking for an update from my actual bartender. However, when she had said such a thing under her breath, I confronted her and said "Excuse me, that was rude". instead of owning up and apologizing, and trying to de-escalate the situation, she insisted on arguing with me! At this point, I was fed up and I did start cussing because I was really angry! So she decides to get her manager, and the manager decides the best solution was to come up to me and tell me to get the fuck out! At this point, the chicken tenders finally got done! And the dumb dumbass lady puts the basket into a to-go box! so as I'm packing up, the manager has the audacity to tell me " you can't take the basket with you that's theft!". So I went ahead and took the basket out out of the box and slammed the food into the box, to which the manager decides to start threatening to call the cops! The service here is terrible and the chicken tenders ended up being cold anyway! This place is God awful!! and I would highly advise no one eat here!! Very, very, very rude!!! read more

Breakers is the perfect casual place to stop for a beach front beverage or meal. Parking is small & tight so you might as well park in the public lot across the street since you'll be on the beach or strolling the shops afterwards and can't leave your car in their lot. You seat yourself and a waitress will find you. Like the parking lot, it's tight inside but everyone was happy- unsure if because of the beach, booze, or good food - but it was comfortable! They have sliding windows around the perimeter you can open if desired. Amy was my waitress and she was outstanding. She was very attentive and a true gem despite being clearly very busy. I got a Caribbean Mama and Amy's recommendation of the Blue Cheese Burger. The drink was strong and perfect for being on the beach. The burger was juicy & delicious. The fries that came with it were crispy perfection. Amy offered to put a lid on my water so I could take it to go while I took three steps out the door to get on the soft white sandy beach.
