I have been following this place on Instagram and once I got engaged I couldn't wait for the opportunity to go! My dress attendant was very sweet and calm for all of my dress stress. She was on the newer side and the more seasoned employee came to help out too. We went on a Thursday afternoon and had the whole place to ourselves! On August 26th, 2025 I scheduled my appointment for September 13th, 2025. On August 27th, 2025 I received a text saying - "Hi Jessica! I see you booked to shop with us and that your wedding date is in two years. Was that a typo or do you mind we cancel your visit to give it to a bride who needs it"? While my wedding date has been going back and forth from 2026 to 2027, I have still actively been preparing for my big day. My best friend found her dress here and I was SO excited to experience Unbridaled. However, I guess if you're not getting married next week, they do not have time for you or your business. Brides go through a lot between the date, family, the venue, and budgeting. The one thing that we are so excited is for, is to find that dream dress. I found this text very rude to cancel my appointment vs. possibly offering a different date to reschedule me. Due to this, I will not be rescheduling and will find my dress elsewhere. read more

I've been here twice with two different brides looking for their bridal gown. Both times were great experiences! One of them did not buy a dress where the other one did! The night before our day of dress shopping, the bride ended up in the ER with an infection. We called to reschedule our 3 appointments- the other two bookings were so understanding and sweet, but not Unbridaled. They unapologetically said we still owed the $200 fee, even though we were rescheduling (not cancelling). So, $200 later we show up 2 weeks later to our rescheduled appointment. Our appointment was scheduled for 3-4:30. At 1:30, I called to say we were running ahead and asked if it would be possible to arrive early. She said no problem, they were very slow. We showed up at 2 for our 1 hour 30 min appointment. Our sales consultant had absolutely zero personality, and wasn't helpful at all. For example, one dress the bride liked, we asked if they had any belts or fabric we could use as a belt. She said no, they're in the process of moving. As I'm attempting to make shift a belt, another sales consultant comes over with two pieces of satin she had readily available for us to use as a belt. Why wouldn't our sales person have even attempted to help? At 3:10, our sales consultant told us "she had another appointment and we were already running into her next appointment"- 70 mins into our 90 min appointment. I will not come back here nor will we be buying the brides dress here. And being unwilling to waive a cancellation fee when the bride was in the hospital and we wanted to reschedule is telling of the type of business this is, and how they would treat you if god forbid you did become a customer. read more

I had an incredible experience with Kelly! As a midsize woman with a plus-sized bust, the idea of trying on wedding dresses overwhelmed me. I worked in bridal in college and knew the sample sizes in store would be too small for me, which is why I almost skipped this store altogether. However, at the recommendation of a good friend, and after several failed appointments at "plus-sized" boutiques, I ended up here. Kelly was extremely accommodating and listened to what I wanted. She let me browse the store and pull dresses I thought I would like. She helped me in and out of them so I could picture them on my body, which was incredibly helpful. The selection here is worth an appointment alone. Everything is modern and beautiful, something that other boutiques, at least in my opinion, are lacking. I'm getting married on New Year's Eve in Michigan and needed long sleeves with no lace, and they had so many great options to try in store. Even though the samples were all too small to go over my chest, I found two dresses I loved, and I ended up saying yes to the one! Kelly even reached out to the designer to help me get a made to order dress to fit my measurements and help me save money on alterations. Her positive attitude and willingness to help made an overwhelming appointment really fun for me. When it came time to order, Wesley was so kind and helpful and celebratory. It was a nice that every touch I had with someone here was so positive. If you're not a sample size and are wondering if this boutique is worth it, it so is! I couldn't have imagined say yes at any other shop I visited, so I'm really glad I pushed my fears aside to come here. I would recommend that they start to bring in some bigger sample sizes to accommodate more brides (the average size in the US is a 16), but otherwise it's a 10/10 experience. read more

Different kind of review here...purchased my dress from Unbridaled back in April of 2021 (great selection, very fair prices, great customer service, beautiful staging area) ended up using a referral for a tailor that was not on their recommended tailor list. Fast forward to 7 days before I leave for my wedding in Mexico, this tailor has had the dress for 6 weeks at this time and finally says it is ready. I go to pick it up...it's botched, doesn't fit, cannot be worn, I instantly have tears flooding and panic that I need to find a new dress. I pulled the daughter card and had my mom call Unbridaled and explain what happened, because well, I was a mess and didn't know what to do. They were instantly on top of it. I sent them photos of me in the dress the day that I bought it and what it looked like now and they made a phone call and directed to me to the place they were confident it could be fixed at. They even called me twice to check on how everything was going and to make sure I was being taken care of! They were genuine and attentive and took care of me from the moment I walked into the door to just days before my wedding. I will be telling all of my friends to make an appointment here! We just got done with my friend's dress appointment and we left confused and disappointed. I would like to say that this store is NOT size inclusive. They only have one dress in a sample size, some fit my friend and others couldn't go up at all. Mind you, my friend is just a size large, not XL. Now, we are completely understanding that not every dress could fit and that they can't possibly carry every dress in every size - that is totally reasonable. What we ARE upset with is that apparently we could only try on 6 dresses. Yes, just 6, even though our appointment was for an hour and a half. My friend tried on 3 and attempted to put on the other 3 but those couldn't go up at all so she didn't even technically try them on. But, those 3 dresses still counted towards her six dresses. It made absolutely no sense. The dresses she did try on were all suggestions from the consultant. She allowed my friend to look at other dresses but my friend thought she would have the opportunity to go look back at the racks - thinking she would just start with the original 6. They didn't offer us waters, it wasn't really inviting. They were also limited in styles and not just sizes to try on. It wasn't an experience a bride should have when dress shopping. Underwhelmed and frustrating. My friend felt totally discriminated against. read more

If you would like a horrible experience, then you should go here! You'll spend over your budget on a dress that they will size too small. Blame you for getting significantly bigger. Even when you lose weight and lose inches, the dress is still too small. The best part of Unbridaled is, they won't tell you the dress you fell in love with will be designed completely different and won't look the same. Then you have to pay for all their mistakes because they refuse to take ownership. Dealing with Unbridaled was so stressful as this ruined the experience of planning a wedding. I came here to try on veils with my wedding dress (purchased elsewhere). The consultant stepped ON my dress multiple times!!! White dresses and shoes do not mix. The veils were cheaply made. I could see hot glue all around the beadwork on the veils and they were outrageously overpriced. $660 for a hot glued art project, no way!! Save your money and look elsewhere. read more

Here are the reasons why: - Rachel helped us on my 1st and 2nd visit to the store. The 1st visit, I had never done any wedding dress research and was very intimidated. Warning: I'm an Unbridaled bride, & I'm here to gush. My experience here from shopping, to ordering my dress, to visiting my dress (sample, because I'm one of those), to picking UP my dress has been nothing short of amazing! I'd booked this "last minute" (about a week before), as I was seriously considering a dress from another salon (not having yet tried it on), but wanted to have a variety as my sister was flying in from out of state to come shopping with me. Plus, one of my friends had gotten her dress at the Austin Unbridaled, & kept recommending that location, not knowing there was one in Houston. In the week prior, I was in communication with my Stylist-to-Be about dresses/styles that I was interested in just from my online browsing, & she was quick to make recommendations that were very on-point, as well as confirm stock of a couple of the dresses that I was interested in trying. I came here on a Saturday morning in February as stop #2 of whirlwind wedding dress weekend with my too large entourage (MOH, BM, 2 sisters, Mother, & Mother's best friend), who were nicely accommodated. My stylist was Kelly & she is INCREDIBLE! Just the warmest, nicest, friendliest person you could ever hope to have helping you in & out of sample dresses. Once she had everyone settled, she took me to the racks. We started with the designer I had been most interested in, pulling the main dress I'd inquired about as well as one she had specifically recommended based on my e-mails. She then walked the rest of the racks with me, carrying each dress I pulled before kindly placing the growing pile in the fitting room. And I pulled a lot - probably close to 20. I decided to start with Kelly's pick & was just blown away. It was hard for me to have the complete vision because the sample size was too small for me, but I knew that it was very "me," it was gorgeous, & I loved it. I could actually see myself getting married in this dress. I went ahead & tried on my original pick, & it was beautiful too - but just not quite as special (in my mind) as the first dress. I tried on all of the rest of the dresses, some truly beautiful ones, even did a 2nd round through the racks. I finally put Kelly's pick back on & was quite smitten. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite pull the trigger as I still had the dress at the other salon that I'd been dreaming about, & with the sample just not fitting right, a couple of people in my party had me doubting it. I proceeded on to the next appointment, while Kelly & the owner, Kelsey, promptly reached out to the designer to locate a sample in my size. I had found a couple of other contenders elsewhere, but could not get the original dress from the morning out of my mind. I was pleasantly surprised when I sent an email late that night inquiring about the larger sample size, to receive a response Sunday morning (the salon was closed), from Kelsey that they had confirmed with the designer that a sample did in fact exist in my size! They were able to locate it, have it shipped, & I was back in the store the following Saturday afternoon with my MOH & BM. On our return appointment, we were greeted familiarly by a smiling Kelly. They had a fitting room with the sample all ready for me. I tried it on, & of course it was the one! Kelly & Kelsey both took a lot of time to properly clip me in & out of the dress as I tried it on with a couple of different undergarments, as we all discussed sizing & alterations. We were offered champagne, & my BM & MOH & I ended up staying 2 hours to just chat - all things wedding & not. Kelly checked on us often, as did other staff. At one point, my MOH spotted a veil that she thought I should try. As we were admiring it, Kelly asked if I'd like to get back in the sample & try it with the veil. Of course! It was a contender, & she gathered all of the info for me & offered to reach out to the designer with questions I had. I made another visit a month or 2 later, on a whim, on a weekday, to "visit" my dress & try on some accessories. I lucked out that Kelly was there again & it was quiet so we spent an hour playing & taking pictures. Since then, I've emailed in with a few questions & always gotten quick, well-informed answers. And finally! My dress arrived! I scheduled an appointment, & again, Kelly was ready & waiting for me - dress in fitting room, & she happily helped me in the dress. Of course, its PERFECT! Even better than I expected! Honestly, that's just true of this whole 4+ month experience. If you are a bride wanting an experience that is different from the norm - better than the norm - then you HAVE to make an appointment at Unbridaled! It's a completely serene atmosphere, that is run by the loveliest of ladies who are clearly truly passionate about what they do - help you find your dream dress & ensure you have the best possible time doing it. I simply could not have asked for a better experience. So just call them already! And ask for Kelly :). read more

While I must say I'm still no pro on the wedding dress shopping saga that was my life for the last couple of months, I can offer some tips, and would definitely suggest a visit to Unbridaled! First off download the Knot Wedding LookBook app, and go into a wedding dress bottomless pit before booking appointments. Figure out the style you like, and start identifying designers whose style you like. I started to find that while I didn't like a traditional look, I preferred more traditional laces (chantilly). Getting married in a year, start looking now! Some dresses can take up to 8 months to make!! Use the Find It Near You on the Knot app, under the style you like, if you start to see a pattern on the stores, check out that store. Not finding the dress, then get out of your city! I felt like the styles in New Orleans were trending to a more traditional look, so I looked to Houston where I found Unbridaled! Book your appointments in advance (two weeks seems to be preferred), and check out the designers they have so you know what you might be looking for. I really liked Willowby and Rue de Seine. Also, know your price range and stick with it (take into consideration alterations for your price too!). When you're on the phone with a shop, don't be afraid to ask if they have dresses in your range so that you and the shop aren't wasting time! Unbridaled dresses were within my range! SO just wanted to dole out some tips before telling you that Unbridaled is a unique shop for that gal that might be looking for more options outside the traditional. Located between two train track lines in a very unassuming space, this cute store felt right up my alley. Unassuming, kinda bohemian and not an overwhelming number of dresses. Megan was my attendee, and while I would originally find myself having anxiety when the gals would pick out dresses for me, let them do it, you are under no obligation to try it on, and it could be the one! Just show them your style via The Knot or Pinterest so they have an idea and let them know the big no's. For me sequins, strapless, and super puffy Cinderalla-esque dresses were my no's. While I picked out a handful of dresses, Megan asked if she could put one she thought would work in the dressing room. Their dressing rooms are nice and wide, and the podium is steps away. My dad and friend waited outside in cute little chairs. Lo and behold, the one Megan picked was the ONE! I didn't think I was going to get "the feelers" but I did. The dress was beautiful, and I could see myself dancing my tail off with my future husband all night long surrounded by friends and family. I tried on one more, and then literally just said, "we're good" and put back on the first one to make sure I got the feelers again. Megan sized me and let me know that I could pay over the phone that week. I ended up putting half down, and they'll be receiving it in the store around May. At that time I can either have them mail it to me for $100 (sounds pricey, but it IS my wedding dress) or I can go back and pick it up, which I think I will do. While they had just a few bridesmaids dresses, we found one that would complement my dress, and while we haven't pulled the trigger, I appreciate them letting my gal try it on during the appointment! I had an appointment with Unbridaled back in November and this place really left a strong positive impression on me. Even though I didn't purchase my dress from them due to my budget, I really enjoyed my time there and would hands down recommend Unbridaled to any soon-to-be brides. It's a very clean and beautiful space to try on all their gorgeous dresses, and the vibe is very relaxed and positive. Stephanie was helping me and answered all of my questions (and I had a lot as it was my first dress appointment) and she kept my mom company while I was getting changed. As soon was we walked in the lady rudely greeted us and said "i thought you canceled your appointment" even though the shop was empty and they clearly had nothing else to do. My daughter and I went to Unbridaled on Saturday in hopes of finding her a wedding dress for her upcoming wedding in November. The moment we walked into the store, it just felt right. We were greeted with a smile and Lyndsey made the entire process fun. She was so helpful and patient. Since this was our first appointment, we didn't make our selection, but thought we might have found THE DRESS. We left with a great feeling... we were giddy! We went to our two next appointments and found some nice options but kept thinking about the dress from Unbridaled. I found my dream dress here after trying on around 50 other dresses at other stores. When I went in for fittings and to pick up the dress, I always found more and more dresses that I wanted to try on because so many of their dresses are stunning. The dresses here are really unique and range in price (my dress was only $1,100). Every time I visited, everyone was incredibly helpful and wonderful to work with--they also have an excellent selection of accessories.
