While I didn't purchase my wedding dress at Unbridaled, I certainly have to say they have some of the best customer service of any business I've encountered here in Austin. After many delays in a custom wedding dress, it was Friday, the day before my wedding, and I just received my dress. I needed to have it steamed to get rid of the wrinkles, and not one dry cleaners in town was capable of doing this (I really have no idea why not), let alone in one day's time. I was driving by Unbridaled and figured why not ask them if they can recommend someone or possibly pay them to do it, if they were willing. The ladies were SO kind and said that they normally don't do this, but they gladly steamed my dress and had it finished within 30 minutes. They were so sweet, even if I hadn't been a customer of theirs, and for that, I can't thank them enough! They truly saved my day. read more

I went into this super cute shop without ever trying on a wedding dress and left a couple hours later with the dress of my dreams! Had a fantastic time with these ladies...their store has such variety (classic! funky! organic?) in every color of white and length to choose from...and best of all: no new york prices!! Although I did not find the perfect dress, we had such a great experience with Kelsey that I almost wanted to buy one anyway! I had an amazing experience at Unbridaled. I came in as one of those dreaded brides that already has a dress. I had bought my dress under pressure from my mom and desire to just "check something off the list," but I was never crazy about it. Finally, I decided it was worth it to see if I just wasn't crazy about wedding dresses, or if it was that one in particular. I was visiting Austin for the weekend from the East Coast and called Unbridaled from the airport to see if they could squeeze me in for an appointment. Amber picked up the phone, and she's the person I had an appointment with. I LOVE AMBER. She was so supportive as I was clearly nervous (it makes you feel ridiculous to shop for a dress when you already have one) and helped me try on about 12 dresses that were not making me feel any different than the one I had -- though Unbridaled has a great selection!!! (Way better than the other two salons I went to out here!) But then. I saw it. My dress! Though I had thought I was "not a wedding dress person," this one made me ugly cry. YES! This is what dress shopping is supposed to be like...I mean, if you are not an uptight, prissy type and just want to try find a dress without being hassled. They are totally fine with you just looking, or just trying, and on week days appointments are not required. I actually walked into one bridal salon and the lady wouldn't even let me walk around the store and it was EMPTY. Partially due to my lack of knowledge of proper "etiquette" wedding dress shopping has never sounded like fun. Yet I have come back to Unbridaled several times. These ladies are great. When you are trying on they will make you feel like they are just another friend offering advice....except they are knowledgable and helpful :) They also offer great options for tailoring, bridesmaids, veils, and accessories. read more

After trying a few other wedding dress places around Austin, I felt the most comfortable at Unbridaled. I first visited Unbridaled about 7 months before my wedding to try on a few dresses but nothing really stood out to me. So I went back a second time with no luck. They suggested I return for the sample sale a few months later and I found the perfect dress on sale!! While this process sounds easy, it wasn't. I own like 2 dresses that i never wear, so needless to say I was pretty clueless about how a wedding dress is supposed to look/feel. Luckily, I had Lindsay in my corner. She made me feel comfortable to ask random questions, was patient with me and my indecisiveness, and gave me her heartfelt opinions (super important for wedding dress decisions!). This is the ideal shop for the bride that is looking for a stylish, non traditional dress. Finding these gems is truly not as easy as it sounds! The ladies in the shop where friendly and attentive without smothering me with unwanted prodding and advice. After trying on 3 dresses that I had originally picked online, I was starting to stress. Finding the right dress was seeming more and more elusive. After seeing my frustration, the ladies asked what it was that I was looking for and immediately set off to find the right styles for me. They came back with a dress that I would have overlooked on the rack, and nearly scoffed at trying on. Once I had it on....I was floored at how perfectly it fit my requests! I couldn't believe they found something so completely perfect for me in just a few words of communication. Before she could even finish the final zip, I knew this was the PERFECT and ONLY dress for me! Unbridaled, you rock! I have played the role of friend for the last 6 months while my best friend has gone on her personal wedding dress hunt as well as the bridesmaid dresses! So this whole time I have been along for the ride. They are so helpful and absolutely are one of the best stores in Austin! Kelsey, helped us the most and I think that she is so great. When we were ordering our dresses she was so helpful and some of the bridesmaids were out of state! The selection at their store was trendy yet classic! I LOVE my dress. Our bride picked a designer and we all got to pick a different style dress. Kelsey was great about giving honest feedback about what dress would work best for everyone's body. I also loved the fitting rooms, they are very well let and have plenty of comfortable couch like seating. The store is just a very fun atmosphere for a bride to be in with her bridesmaids! Out of all the stores we visited on the quest for "the" dress and bridesmaid dresses this was by far my favorite! Even though I am not a bride, I loved the selection of dresses for brides. This place is incredible. I was worried when I went in I was not going to be able to find anything that fit my budget, and I would just get ideas there... Well, thank the Lord for Unbridaled and these little things called Trunk Sales. I fell in love and bought the first dress I tried on! It was originally a $4,000 I got it for $1,200. I left the store with three other appointments to go dress shopping the next two days with the thought looming over my head that the dress could be gone if I did that. I called an hour before they closed, and said I was going to buy the dress, but can not make it back in, can I leave a credit card number? The women who helped me get in and out of all the dresses told me not to worry, and she would take the dress off the floor, and to come pay sometime the next day. So I did, and now the dress is all mine! The staff was so nice, and adorably cute about everything! Everyone was giving their opinion on how much they loved the dress, and I did not feel like they were just trying to sell me. I found a veil I liked a lot, and the manager told me to come back in 2 months when they have a sale on everything like that, so I could save some money. The store front is cute, the dresses are exquisite, and one of a kind (not like Davids Bridal, or all those run of the mill bridal stores) but without the typical attitudes I got from other boutique bridal stores like Blush. read more

I absolutely LOVE Unbridaled. I went in there looking for my bridesmaid's dresses and ended up trying on some dresses as well. The staff (especially Kelsey) is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and nice! All of my girls loved the dresses there and we ended up picking one designer with all different styles. They were super helpful with all of my bridesmaids that live in different states! The designer was about to change pricing- and they made sure to contact everyone so we could get the dresses with the old prices! Everyone got their dress in plenty of time and love them! I can't wait to see everyone in them! I have even ordered my groomsmen's ties there. They match the BM dresses perfectly! I loved their wedding dresses but ultimately ended up buying 'The' dress at a shop in Dallas. I plan on coming back to Unbridaled to get my accessories such as the belt and veil. They even offered for me to bring in my dress to try things on even though I didn't purchase it there! If they had 'the' dress I would have loved to buy it from them as they are a wonderful company and I would have loved to do more business with them! I drive past this place to and from work everyday while I'm here in Austin and it looks so cute from the outside, I decided to drop in this week. I'm gettin hitched in May and I already found my dress so couldn't do too much shopping here. They have a pretty good collection of wedding dresses, tons of bridesmaids dresses and jewelry, headbands, feather hairpieces, etc. The woman who was working there was also super nice. I heard her helping someone in the back dressing room with dresses and it seems like a really great place to try some on. After a horrible experience at another Bridal shop we dropped in without an appointment on a Saturday just to look around. One of the girls at the front desk was extremely helpful and at first I thought there was nothing in budget but she showed me an entire designer line that was. I was not going to be able to try on because it was Saturday and they were booked but we just looked around. The consultant Eileen (spelling?? Sorry)... Beyoncé... she was amazing! She had an appointment end early and squeezed me in for 20 minutes. I tried a few I pulled and she actually pulled some other dresses that she thought would look great on me and in budget and on sale that I never would have found. She was enthusiastic and seemed to love her job. I had an incredible experience with her and it turned my sour trip to another boutique around for all of us. If I could give 6 stars I would!!! I was married in April 2013 and was SO HAPPY to have found this place. The staff (Kelsey!) is incredibly friendly, savvy, and knowledgeable. My wedding went from a church to beach setting and they were helpful with ideas of how to make it work. They had great recommendations and were creative when I was at a loss/concerned. Let me back up and mention that I just happened to check out this store when there was a sample sale. I got a GORGEOUS dress for a FRACTION of what it would have been retail. I could sell my dress today and I would break even. Another thing I liked about the shop was its versatility in styles. They have unique styles and significant range in price. Lastly, my sister in law had a BIG problem with the bridesmaid dress that we were all instructed to buy online (DON'T BUY ONLINE!!). I decided to check out this salon after going to a couple of salons in San Antonio. This salon definitely had a wide range of styles, designers, and prices to choose from. I as assisted by Lindsey and she was extremely helpful. Thanks to her I fell in love with a dress that was way out of my budget. I didn't buy that dress, but I did enjoy wearing it for the 15 minutes or so they let me! All the ladies at the salon were extremely helpful and provided a lot of feedback both positive and negative! Bought my wedding dress and veil here. I mostly worked with Kelsey and Lindsay and both of them are terrific. I had such a good experience picking out my dress, and looked at a lot of reasonably priced (and absolutely beautiful) options. Ordering and having my dress shipped were a breeze. I came in again during my lunch hour to try on my dress and look at veil and sash options, and the two associates who were there that day could not have been more accommodating with finding options for me, letting me take my time, taking pictures of me, writing down what I had tried on, etc. Then, when I decided I probably wanted a different veil, Kelsey was very helpful in discussing my options, and let me switch out the one I had originally purchased with just a small extra charge for a rush on the replacement. Loved my experience at Unbridaled! I did not expect to go to a bridal shop at all since I'm having a nontraditional wedding. But I found a Kite & Butterfly dress on Etsy that I loved and decided to make an appointment at Unbridaled and try on their selection of Kite & Butterfly gowns so I could get a feel for the fit and material. I was a little nervous for my appointment because I didn't want to feel pressured into trying on additional dresses. I thought that maybe they would pick other gowns similar to the Kite & Butterfly gowns and get me to try these on, too. To my great relief, none of this happened! It was the complete opposite, which was exactly what I wanted: I came in with the specific style and brand dress I wanted to try on, they pulled it for me, I tried it on, loved it, and then ordered it right there in the store. It was the easiest and most comfortable process. They even had it fitted for a custom length and color (something I couldn't have done on my own via Etsy!). Same price as online and without all the stress. Amber was so kind and patient with me when I anxiously called the shop asking for the status on my dress, and she instantly called me when it arrived. I picked up my dress last week and it is beautiful! I'm so glad I went to Unbridaled and I highly recommend it, even if you don't think you are the "bridal store" type, like I thought I was! read more

I had a fantastic experience at Unbridaled. I was nervous about going to bridal boutiques because I didn't want to deal with pushy salespeople or to walk in and find out that everything was thousands of dollars out of my price range. I also prefer simple fashions and can't stand anything overly lacy, shiny, or sparkly. I checked out the website for Unbridaled and thought it might be the place for me. I was right! The atmosphere at Unbridaled is very laid back and the dresses are beautiful. My sister and I browsed through all of their dresses and pulled out about 15 to try on. We went through them all on our own before narrowing down the pile until I had four or five that I was ready to model for the staff. At no point did they pressure us and my sister and I had a great time going through the dresses. Although most I tried on were in the $1000-1600 price range, there were several that were less than $1000 and one that was even $300! Regardless of the price, everything we tried on was well-made and stylish. I tried a few more boutiques before going back to Unbridaled and purchasing one of the dresses I tried on during my first visit. Of all of the places I visited in Austin, the selection at Unbridaled was by far the best. My only quibble is that the selection of bridesmaid dresses all look pretty similar (cocktail length). My sister/maid of honor wanted to wear something floor length and there wasn't much to offer. However, it's possible that some of the dresses would have been available in floor length - I'm not sure that we asked. They do have a nice selection of accessories - in fact, I'm heading back to the store tomorrow to check them out! read more

Unbridaled was the first place I looked for a wedding gown, and it was the last. I instantly knew it was the place for me. They carry a very thoughtful, artful line of dresses. I was drawn in because of the Monarch gown, but because of budget issues and only having 7 weeks until my wedding, they helped me find the perfect solution. I ended up getting a beautiful rack-sale gown that I took home that day. The ladies working at Unbridaled are wonderful to work with! OH, and they have a fantastic selection of Ivy + Aster dresses! I have to say first off that I had a prior appointment and fell in love with a dress before I came here. But, even if that didn't happen, I would still rate this place the same. The biggest disappointment was it was WAY too crowded. When we walked in the first thing I said out loud that is was so noisy. The sign said appointments only on Saturdays, but I swear I there was over twenty women squawking around. (With babies, and moms, and aunts, and sisters galore.) With that being said, I could only imagine how many dresses were being occupied by the other brides. But, in the end, every single dress looked the same. Even my sister and mother contended to that. When I looked around the room at one point, every bride was wearing the same style dress. I just don't think they have a lot of variety. If you are a bride like me that insists on having an original look, I would look else wear. I do however want to shout out that Lindsey who was helping me was sweet as can be! read more

This is a cute botique bridal shop. They were kind enough to go ahead and help us, even though we showed up about an hour before our appointment. They have a lot of unique, amd designer, dresses. There are private areas, with curtains, for the bride to try on dresses. The staff was very helpful and accomodating! We were even provided glasses, instead of the disposable cups we were using, to drink mimosas while my soster tried on dresses. Awesome place! read more

SERVICE: Kelsey is the best! She is so full of energy and really makes you feel like you're friends! She gives honest, non-judgmental opinions (if you ask for it). She's great at recommended their seamstress and other accessories she thinks might help the gown. I went alone and she even took pictures for me! ENVIRONMENT: They don't go into the room with you, they just hand you the dress from the outside then she'll come in and zip you all up. The area has 4 dressing rooms with 4 different boxes to stand on. At the same time that it's open for all to see, it's sectioned off into corners so no one really pays any attention to you, it's not side by side (like David's Bridal). PRICE: It can be a little expensive, depending on your budget of course. It's a little tough to find gowns under $1000, unless it's a sample sale. More off white, vintage selections. read more

I got my Venus dress at Unbridaled, and really enjoyed my experience shopping there. The location was perfect, close to where I lived and worked, and the ambiance of the shop made it a fun and comfortable place to be. I mostly worked with Kelsey and Amber, who were both very friendly, helpful, and gave great advice. They also humored my overthinking tendencies and my multiple visits to the shop to try on the dress to "make sure" before I purchased it. I even came back a few times afterwards to make sure the shoes and jewelry I'd picked out would be complementary, and, as I was usually alone, Amber did a great job of standing in as a gal pal and helping me make some fashion choices. I came here because they sell the designer I wanted (Stephanie James Couture). The particular dress I wanted was not among the dresses they had so they got a sample sent to the store. As soon as I tried it on I knew it was the dress. They kept in touch with me to keep me updated on when the dress would be ready and they gave me great suggestions for alterations. They even gave me great advice for shipping a dress (I had a destination wedding). They were fun to work with and they made the process easy. OMG. First time trying on wedding dresses, and I truly couldn't have had a better experience! This was planned last minute as a casual 'drop in and see what I like' type of deal. We were the first appointment of the day and the only people there. Laid back and completely stress free. They let you shop and touch the dresses, but also follow covid precautions. I took my best friend. Lucy helped us and was extremely nice and helpful. Her partner Kelsey was also great! The dresses are beautiful; many from many different designers and plenty of options depending on what you're looking for. Lucy helped me put on every dress and made each one fit to my body with clips so I could envision each one on my big day, she was super educated on literally everything and super helpful being that I know nothing about this kind of stuff. They give you a personal portal and a paper with your top 4 on it, take your measurements, etc and are easy to book appointments with. I may have found my perfect dress there today (I found a few I'm in LOVE with) but I'm going back Friday with my mom and God mom to have them take a look at what I tried on today! I didn't get my dress here, but had a great experience with Hannah the two times I came to try on dresses. She recognized and matched my vibe (read: low key), was honestly great at suggesting dresses and also at helping me literally try them on - something I thought wasn't a big deal until I went to another salon in Austin and had a weird, very unhelpful experience. There aren't dedicated rooms here, just spacious curtained off changing areas (one per person) and then couches in front of each one where all the guests sit (like Say Yes to the Dress) and it's great - it feels roomy but also a fun vibe as you get to be around other happy people that are in the store that day. I absolutely adore this store! I called on a Friday afternoon when my schedule suddenly opened up and the ladies we happy to accommodate me without an appointment. My mother and I came in and were greeted by three lovely gals at the front desk and a row of dresses flanking each side of the salon. The customer service we received was wonderful, the stylist that helped us was bubbly and not pushy about any of the gowns. She answered all of our questions and even laughed at our jokes. This was my first time trying on wedding gowns and I picked about 25 to try on and never felt as if I was being hurried as it was getting close to closing time. Bottom line: I didn't find my dress here, but would definitely recommend this salon for any bride to be. They have the most beautiful crystal belts I have ever seen as well as many other bridal/bridesmaid accessories. I used to live in Austin and flew in to go to Unbridaled with two of my best girlfriends to pick out a wedding dress about a year ago. Unbridaled is incredible and I would recommend them to anyone! The dress was shipped to me San Francisco and even better, it transported well on our flight to the Caribbean for the wedding and then our adventure honeymoon through Costa Rica.
