Ricardo with Affordable Concrete & Construction did an excellent job on our project. From the…read morebeginning, he was honest, professional, and clearly passionate about his work. His crew was respectful, hardworking, and showed great attention to detail throughout the entire process. The project was completed on time, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. The quality of the concrete work exceeded my expectations, and the entire experience was smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for a reliable concrete contractor for patios, driveways, or any concrete work, I highly recommend Ricardo and his team. It's hard to find this level of dedication and service these days. I will definitely be calling them again for future projects.

I had 5 contractors come to my house to bid the job. They came and looked at the job, but they never called back and never responded with a quote. They ghosted me. Then I called Affordable Concrete & Construction. Ricardo came, inspected the job, and offered me a quote on the spot. I was impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. The bid was significantly lower than the ONE other bid I received. Ricardo and his crew did a great job--we are so happy with the results. I highly recommend Affordable Concrete & Construction.

Please please do your due diligence when looking for a concrete contractor. I thought I was doing…read moremine after reviewing several contractors, getting bids and feeling out their way of doing business, put I was a complete fool for picking super affordable concrete for our addition foundation. If you stop reading now please know that the operators; Aldo Garcia and his step dad Ramon Antonio "Tony" Recio are crooks that will extort you for all you have, plus anything anyone close to you can loan you. It started off very smoothly with a nice written up contract, communication was there and everyone understood their roles. They came and dug 90% of the footers and leveled the ground out in about two days. There was still some leveling that needed to be done on a outcropping but I was assured that would be done when they came back out. I waited a few days before messaging them about when they would come back but was told the plumber need to finish as they wanted to start the rebar. It took the plumber about 2 weeks to finish and then another week for the inspection to pass. Super affordable concrete did not come back for about 8 weeks, saying they had equipment stolen, Tony stopped working, some crew went back home and some split to work with others. The fact is that theft happened before we went into business and the footers were already dug, I'm not sure Tony ever worked a day in his life cause he says he will help but just shows up in his new clothes and new camero, takes my money, and leaves. Only one of their guys is full time and the others they hire on a per case basis making Super affordable concrete a subcontractor. Anyways this is where the shady behavior really comes to light. They knew I was in a time crunch, they knew I had a baby coming Nov21st, they knew how much steel and concrete was going to cost, they knew all the factors cause they do this everyday. The additional charges started when Tony had me pay 950$ to the rebar workers for the rebar install and another 450$ to put in the dowels. This is work that should have been paid for already but if I did not pay it was not going to get done ever. The rebar guys did not do the outcropping cause it was never leveled like the other parts and due to missing rebar. If Aldo did not cut the wrong rebar for the dowels we would have had enough but I had to go pick up and pay for additional rebar, I also took 5 days away from newborn bonding to dig out and form the outcropping due to the earth guys not verifying the stairs landing distance on the architect drawing; something Tony wants to charge me more money for work I did; if that doesn't tell you the type of person he is keep reading. Two days before we were going to pour Tony messages me to tell me that instead of the remaining 3500$ I owe in our contract, it's going to be 8800$ + 1500$ to finish. I thought, dang how is this even possible? How does such a large discrepancy come to light just 48 hours before the scheduled event? Well it's easy when you think about it, Aldo Garcia and his step dad Ramon Antonio "Tony" Recio are crooks and they knew that the 60 yards of concrete were going to be 9000$ plus the labor. If I want the concrete I was going to pay 9000$ no matter what. Even if our contract says I only one 3500$, he made it very clear he was not going to pay the difference. I could tell you how I begged him, how I reminded him I had many hospital bills for my newborn, bills for my wife cesarian, how I took out loans to get this far and many more. Tony was only interested in what I could give him. He said I could sell him my truck or other valuables. I tried to negotiate but nothing was enough for him and he was ready to call it off. Again I b egged and pleaded with him but there was no remorse for putting me in this quagmire. He took more money than I even had, I had to sell my truck and ask people for money I can't pay back. TD;LR Please verify. Take some time to price the rebar and concrete out so you know when they are getting the upper hand. Don't let yourself get backed into a corner by this bully.

I came out of my house and found the driveway orange. I asked him what happened over the phone and he said this was the closest color. I told him that was not the color we agreed on and he said he would fix it. I gave him the remaining deposit in good faith. He promised he would fix it if I paid him the remainder since he already had all the supplies/paint. He kept changing the dates to repair the driveway for weeks. First he scheduled a date 1 week in advance. He didn't show up. He then said he needed to order special paint and it hadn't arrived yet. A week later it still had not arrived. I wondered why we simply didn't do this in the first place. Is beige really that complex ? Another week later he said he wanted more money to fix it and wouldn't finish the job like he promised since the new paint would not work? He then cursed on the phone and attempted to blame the color choice on me. He then hung up on me. Now his website has conveniently closed down. I am pursuing legal action on this fraudulent company under the "Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act" and in violation of the Texas Business and Commerce Code Sec 17.46 (b). MartIn Gonzalez is unprofessional, untrustworthy, unethical. I attached pictures below. I would avoid this company completely. The owner will talk a big game, suck you in and then leave you with low quality work. Was hoping to help a small business, instead I got scammed. You often meet unsavory people in this industry, ones without a conscience. I would call this criminal. I'm hoping this company and this individual never have the opportunity to do this to someone else. We need a concerted effort to remove companies and individuals like this from operating and taking advantages of citizens in our community.

The last straw came at 0330 in the morning when we received a text stating that the concrete pour was being canceled again because the concrete company wanted a certified check from us instead of the contractor. Martin the owner claims he has done big jobs before. This was 8000 square feet yet somehow he didn't know the concrete supplier would need this until the last minute. Needless to say something didn't smell right. I lost 32K dollars dealing with him. Consider yourself warned. He talks the talk but can't walk the walk. Maybe they can pour a pad for an air conditioner but that's about all.
