    They put up 5 ceiling fans for us and did a great job! Cost ways less than an electrician! Very fair price for the job done. I will use them for other jobs around the house!

    NOT PROFESSIONAL, HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION, NOT LGBTQ FRIENDLY. This is a frustratingly long, interesting story so buckle up. We initially hired David in September of 2019 to install a Mighty Mule gate arm on our fence gate which would automatically open our gate giving us access into and out of our driveway. We pre-purchased the equipment, and hired him to simply install it. He gave us an estimate for $606.20 for, at that point we did not have time to shop around much and we paid him. Immediately after the installation we had issues with the fence. It wouldn't open or close correctly, it got stuck on a daily basis, the bottom of the panels drug against the driveway causing the system to go into error mode and turn off. The wood started to split where they installed the hinges and sagged. We called them back to fix it over the course of 2019/2020 about 4 or 5 different times. Red flag # 247...or something. Finally, in July 2020, 9 months after initial installation, the control board of the gate arm completely blew out due to the weight of the panels and the less than ideal installation of the system. We called David, multiple times, finally got him on the phone, and asked him to fix it. He said he would contact mighty mule and order the part under warranty. We asked him to fix the entire set up so this doesn't continue to happen, in addition to fixing the brackets that were splitting our fence post from the dragging weight of the gate panels. When we were finally able to get him to come out to the property he told my wife that he had a plan to remove the current wood fence posts and the all wood gate panels and replace the wood posts with metal posts (never ended up doing this) and frame the wood panels with a metal frame so there would be no sagging of the wood when the temperature changed. In August of 2020, as he was waiting to "hear back" from Mighty Mule regarding shipping the warranty part, he built the new gate panels. I am currently stationed abroad and my wife was visiting me when this metal gate framing project took place so we were not there. Pictures of the project (attached). You can see the gate is uneven, with the right panel too low, it drags on the drive way when opened. August 2020-October 2020 go by, with a broken, half-ass fence repair job and we cannot get David on the phone. Both my wife and I call him and his partner Charles multiple times a week to get a status update on the part and when he is going to fix this. When he does randomly answer phone calls, he tells me that there are shipping issues from CA due to COVID and he can't get the part etc and he will call me back later that day with a shipping update. Never once did he ever call me back. After around 2 months of this, he tells me if the part isn't in by the end of the week, he will go buy one himself from a local store and fix it that weekend. We say okay, weekend comes, he no shows and doesn't answer his phone. We play this game another few weeks. Then he tells me that he ordered the part himself "out of pocket" 2 day air and it will be in Friday, he will come by that next weekend. Same thing, no show, no call. Finally reach him, he says "they sent me the wrong part, I had to send it back". Now, I am a patient person, but this is ridiculous. Keep in mind we paid $600 for this install. We simply wanted them to fix their mess up. If they fixed it, my wife and I decided we wouldn't take this issue any further, we would let it go and simply not hire them again. BUT THEN. They finally show up at our property 9 OCT. The second and third photo show the "fixed" final product. Didn't even bother to secure the wiring. Whatever, while its annoying I can fix that. The best part, we had other contractors on site who told us David and his partner "obnoxiously" blared Rush Limbaugh the entire time- loud enough that my entire street could hear it. We also had neighbors complain. You can listen to whatever you want, but it seemed to all watching, that these gentlemen were trying to make a point. Completely unprofessional. July 2020 is when my wife hung a Pride flag with the words "equality" in front of our house. Coincidence? Recommend you find another handyman who takes pride in their work and treats all customers equally.

    Requested and received quote same day. Charles did a great job removing old shutters, painting and installing new ones, and painting trim around front door. The only (minor) complaint: project was delayed 3 weeks because new shutters had to be ordered, but when Charles arrived he didn't have any shutters? He surveyed my old ones, then looked online and said, "I found some shutters at Lowe's, I'll go get them..." Anyhoo, the project turned out just as I wanted it. 10/10 will hire Ultimate Handyman again.

    They never responded to any messages or calls. Maybe something has changed at the business. But I gave them a week to acknowledge .

    Selecting a company to work a big project is no small feat. So I sent out my project request through Yelp and this company was one of the responses I received. Scheduling a visit proved to be challenging. Their AI bot was responding to the point that I was frustrated. Eventually I answered that their scheduling didn't work for me. At that point, a person intervened and told me the AI bot took over and gave me a date that worked for me. She said a confirmation was forthcoming. When I responded ok, the bot seemed to take over again. I believe the date and time I was given was a Thursday at noon because the Wednesday at noon was unavailable. But I didn't receive a confirmation. So Wednesday comes around and I'm not expecting anyone. I'm working from home in pajamas when the doorbell rings. I scramble to get dressed when I realize this person isn't leaving and might be one of the companies I scheduled. I came outside and received a friendly greetings. I apologized for being delayed and explained that I was expecting them the next day. I opened up the gate and we spent about ten minutes going over what I wanted. I was advised that I would be sent an estimate probably the following day. I never received an estimate. The writing was all over the walls. The people I dealt with were nice, but the situation with the AI bot and not getting a quote back, unfortunately didn't inspire confidence.
