The whole estimate took about 45 minutes, and that included my questions. If you have a big project it might take longer, but Darcy stayed patient and never felt pushy. He followed up respectfully by text, phone, and email. We ultimately decided to hold off until spring, but I told him he's welcome to reach out again because he knows his stuff and represents the company well. Ergeon came in a bit higher than some of the other quotes we got, but the quality of their work in the photos looks great and they actually guarantee it. A lot of contractors don't. Selecting a company to work a big project is no small feat. Replacing a fence may not be the…read morebiggest project, but there are so many considerations, especially when you share a fence with three neighbors. Coordination was very important. So I sent out my project request through Yelp and this company was one of the responses I received. Scheduling a visit proved to be challenging. Their AI bot was responding to the point that I was frustrated. Eventually I answered that their scheduling didn't work for me. At that point, a person intervened and told me the AI bot took over and gave me a date that worked for me. She said a confirmation was forthcoming. When I responded ok, the bot seemed to take over again. I believe the date and time I was given was a Thursday at noon because the Wednesday at noon was unavailable. But I didn't receive a confirmation. So Wednesday comes around and I'm not expecting anyone. I'm working from home in pajamas when the doorbell rings. I scramble to get dressed when I realize this person isn't leaving and might be one of the companies I scheduled. I came outside and received a friendly greetings. I apologized for being delayed and explained that I was expecting them the next day. I opened up the gate and we spent about ten minutes going over what I wanted. I was advised that I would be sent an estimate probably the following day. I never received an estimate. The writing was all over the walls. The people I dealt with were nice, but the situation with the AI bot and not getting a quote back, unfortunately didn't inspire confidence.

Guiellermo, the owner, is trustworthy, stands by his promises, and builds a really nice fence. Since it was a custom privacy fence with an electric dual gate, the project had its challenges. We used pictures of similar fences to frame what we wanted and then put our own touches to the design. It did take a few field adjustments during construction but his guys were on top of it and the overall finished project is outstanding. A big plus is that our neighbors seem to be happy with it and we have received many compliments on both the look and uniqueness. Something not to be overlooked , is that W&D has not hesitated to come back and make some minor gate adjustments, after the fence has settled it. We contracted Joe to install a gate with solar electric opener. His crew was never once on site…read morewhen they said they would be. Joe was always traveling out of town. Gate post was set in a position that does not allow the gate to open wide enough to clear our driveway. I must disconnect the opener and manually open the gate wide enough to bring our RV past the gate. Our driveway is sloped. The gate drags the ground 5 feet from the starting point. I must hold the gate up while it is opening in order to open it all the way. Most of the welds have cracked open in the first 8 months since installation. Joe is totally rude and refuses to back up his work. STAY AWAY!!!!!
