Ricardo with Affordable Concrete & Construction did an excellent job on our project. From the…read morebeginning, he was honest, professional, and clearly passionate about his work. His crew was respectful, hardworking, and showed great attention to detail throughout the entire process. The project was completed on time, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. The quality of the concrete work exceeded my expectations, and the entire experience was smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for a reliable concrete contractor for patios, driveways, or any concrete work, I highly recommend Ricardo and his team. It's hard to find this level of dedication and service these days. I will definitely be calling them again for future projects.

Terrible experience with Ricardo and Affordable Concrete. I…read morehad met with Ricardo and I explained what i needed done. I stressed to keep rain runoff away from existing patio slab. I ended up getting exactly what i did NOT want. (See photo) When brought to his attention, Ricardo stated that he used a laser level and that me and my wife personally reviewed and approved using our own level. What is NOT true about this statement is the section of new concrete with yellow arrow (see photo) was not personally reviewed nor approved for slope by my wife and I. What is true is that 2 different sections of Ricardo work were checked and found to have an issue with the slope. All of this detail should have been checked by Ricardo, not my wife and I. Ricardo accepts no responsibility for his mistakes and because i was present throughout the job I should have caught this mistake, flagged him and called time out. Almost to say it was my fault. I fully regret hiring this company especially for the amount of money i paid. Almost 12,000.00 dollars. Be careful who you hire, do your homework and most importantly get every little detail in writing. These types of mistakes should not happen. A professional company should consider and apply any and all City of San Antonio Codes to eliminate any discrepancies or mistakes such as water runoff. Affordable Concrete kept my wife and I busy as there were other issues that needed addressing as well. Be careful with who you hire! My response to Ricardo. You are correct, you had no control over my existing slab. You did however have full control on how the concrete you installed slopes. It is the installation and slope of your work that is diverting water onto the existing slab. That is how the water in my photo got there. It is not complicated so please quite trying to spin reality. Its your product, you should own it. I can take a garden hose and show you a video if you like. Just let me know. Also, I will not be deleting my Google review. Maybe some edits but nothing else.

WARNING. The owner of this company, Martin Gonzalez is a crook... he'll scam you. I paid 7000$ for…read moremy driveway to be painted beige and stamped around the edges. I came out of my house and found the driveway orange. I asked him what happened over the phone and he said this was the closest color. I told him that was not the color we agreed on and he said he would fix it. I gave him the remaining deposit in good faith. He promised he would fix it if I paid him the remainder since he already had all the supplies/paint. He kept changing the dates to repair the driveway for weeks. First he scheduled a date 1 week in advance. He didn't show up. He then said he needed to order special paint and it hadn't arrived yet. A week later it still had not arrived. I wondered why we simply didn't do this in the first place. Is beige really that complex ? Another week later he said he wanted more money to fix it and wouldn't finish the job like he promised since the new paint would not work? He then cursed on the phone and attempted to blame the color choice on me. He then hung up on me. Now his website has conveniently closed down. I am pursuing legal action on this fraudulent company under the "Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act" and in violation of the Texas Business and Commerce Code Sec 17.46 (b). MartIn Gonzalez is unprofessional, untrustworthy, unethical. I attached pictures below. I would avoid this company completely. The owner will talk a big game, suck you in and then leave you with low quality work. Was hoping to help a small business, instead I got scammed. You often meet unsavory people in this industry, ones without a conscience. I would call this criminal. I'm hoping this company and this individual never have the opportunity to do this to someone else. We need a concerted effort to remove companies and individuals like this from operating and taking advantages of citizens in our community.

The last straw came at 0330 in the morning when we received a text stating that the concrete pour was being canceled again because the concrete company wanted a certified check from us instead of the contractor. Martin the owner claims he has done big jobs before. This was 8000 square feet yet somehow he didn't know the concrete supplier would need this until the last minute. Needless to say something didn't smell right. I lost 32K dollars dealing with him. Consider yourself warned. He talks the talk but can't walk the walk. Maybe they can pour a pad for an air conditioner but that's about all.
