I wanted to come on here and give a shoutout to the bartender named Jasmine who was working when we came in with a large wedding party unannounced (sorry!). She was already dealing with a big reservation when we waltzed in with about 60 thirsty people and she handled the oncoming hordes all by herself with efficiency and class. She executed the craft cocktails ordered by our younger friends with speed and accuracy, and handled our toe tapping, baby boomer parents who don't think the line is meant for wine refills with impeccable patience. I've been a few times for drinks and it has been great until now. I ordered a pizza and it was the worst I've ever had. My friend and I both tried a slice and then left it untouched. The bartender (Christine) wasn't very friendly and charged me for two drinks instead of one and added an "entertainment district fee". The total for my bill was $50 when all I ordered was a cocktail ($12) and pizza($14)... overall I'm very disappointed. Found this place called Unbearable in Santa Barbara on Haley St right around the corner from the promenade...went in and was greeted by the friendliest bartender,Jasmine. Had a good drink called a Frose, a blueberry one. Wow, amazing! Took mu pup Tank with me as they said they have a doggy menu. Got him some fresh treats from the hostess stand and a doggy menu item called Skinny Girl, a salmon and sweet potato. He loved it! I played the race car game and must have spent hours doing so! Went to Unbearable for the Super Bowl. Was there from 1:30 to about 7:30 with a table of 10-11 people, all ordering food and drinks the entire time. It was impossible for my friends to get a glass of water. The bartenders reasoning was that they can only serve water in plastic cups and they had none available. When we asked if we could get an actual glass they said it's only for alcohol so NO. The server ended up taking our water cups away at some point during the day so I went to the bar with my friend to get water. We saw two plastic cups on the bar mat on the bar that looked like they might be clean. She asked the bartender if those cups were available for us to get water. He said if we wanted to, but they were dirty. Then my friend asked if we could get some water cups and he completely snapped at her and was so aggressive. He shouted at us with his hands in the air saying he's making drinks for customers right now and that he's not going to get us plastic cups or glasses for water. We walked away appalled. A few minutes later I approached the bar again to ask the other bartender because apparently he was giving people water in glasses. Before I even have a chance to talk to the other bartender, the original rude bartender comes over and with a smirk gives me two plastic cups and tells me "here's your water cups." I only thought about it later on in the night, but I'm almost positive those were the same cups that he said earlier were dirty. I would hate to think that he served us dirty cups, but based on his behavior I wouldn't put it past him. I ended up speaking to a guy who told me he was the owner and he was nice enough and said he would talk to the bartender, but he also made the excuse that they were stressed. I understand it being busy because of the SB but we were polite to the staff all day and them treating us like this was not acceptable. One of the guys at my table had an issue with the same bartender being rude to him as well. I've heard so many stories of the staff here being rude. I'm not sure why it's tolerated. I refused to buy anymore food or drinks after that altercation and I will never spend my money here again. Santa Barbara has so many options for sports bars with food that I have no reason to ever step foot in here again. They have lost at least 15 repeat customers because none of my group will ever give them money again. Avoid this place. There's nothing here that makes it worth accepting rude behavior and them denying a legal right to water because of some stupid rule about cups and glasses! read more

Ok, so when I heard of this place and it being the place my friends set up for us to meet up I was not excited. A pun-forward bar? Games? I thought great this is going to be a bad dive bar version of dave & busters. WRONG! This is such a neat spot, not overcrowded on a Sunday afternoon, the prickly pear margarita was delightful. Great ambiance and environment from all the people and workers here. Specifically, Tommy Williams, the bartender, is very funny, hard working employee, and makes sure you get your drinks! Most amazing bar I've been to in a VERY long time! With COVID the bar was great with spacing and upholding rules. We went on 6/5/20 and though they were u set staffed every single person working there was so excessively nice and accommodating! We had a waitress with light brown hair (wearing a green mask with flowers) who was so sweet and recommended great drinks. Another waitress with black curly hair helped us throughout the night and ever brought us ping pong paddles to play at our table! The bartender (a dude wearing a Hawaiian print t shirt) brought us tons of great recommendations for beers and drinks and even made us a unique watermelon shot!! Would absolutely COME HERE again.
