Food was so yummy! It's been awhile since I've had some good sushi, so finding this spot made my day. This is an all you can eat spot so make sure you bring your appetite. For the amount of food you're able to order, the price is extremely reasonable as well. I've tried ALMOST more than half of the menu (don't judge!) and everything has been so freaking delicious! Seriously, I'm looking forward to the next time I get a craving. Btw our server Yadhira was awesome! She gave great recommendations, answered each and every question we had for her with a smile and gave her own honest opinions re food items. This used to be our favorite spot but as a family of 4 (1 who has medical dietary restriction) if 1 of us gets AYCE, we have to pay for all of us to get AYCE (all you can eat) We explained that our 1 child would not be able to do AYCE but would like to order from the menu. They told us we would have to pay for AYCE even if they weren't going to do that because of issues with people sharing. So we have to pay bc other people shared (stole food)? We were being punished for what others did? Needless to say, we didn't stay to eat and have not been back!! Too sad to treat people like that. 3 of the 4 of us were going to order AYCE and order from the menu for the 1. We would give this place -5 stars if we could. First, this place advertised it was open on weekdays until 9 pm. So we went in at 3 PM. Due to cold weather (it was cold but NO ice, snow or power outages), they said they would close at 4 PM. We figured this would be fine as there weren't many people there so service should be quick. They sat us all the way in the back, which we found odd, but figured maybe they sat the "all you can eat" people closer to the fish tanks Etc. We weren't going to be doing this. We were pleasantly shocked by there prices, as being from CA, our prices are higher. We had sushi and rolls and some miso soups. The first issue we had was with their Fresh Eel, it was truly the worst we had ever had. It was like they minced up the meet and served it as such. We did not say anything to the waitress. The second issue was she mistakingly took one order wrong and doubled it. This we called her our on, and she said just keep it. Which we did, but she then charged us for the 2nd order. We still didn't call her out for it as it wasn't worth the time to reprint the bill. Third, we never got the appetizer ordered. Which we did ask about, and she went and came back fast stating they ran out, which we don't think was the truth. The worst thing however was close to 4 she came by and we had 2 pieces left to finish. I told her we were rushing it as we knew they were closing soon. She said no problem, take your time. No rush at all. When she came back with the bill, I started grabbing my purse, and AGAIN, "No rush At all! Please take your time". This was at 4 PM. Before we could even get up, the lights to the restaurant went completely off. It was 4:01 PM. We yelled there is someone still in here, and no reply came back. We actually sat in disbelief and laughed at first, until we got up and saw two women waiting for us saying "Sorry, Sorry" and then the entire staff waiting at the door - waiting to go home". This was at 4:03 PM. Now anyone would any brains in their head would say - "Why the hell is the whole staff sitting/standing there waiting for 2 women to leave a blacked out restaurant (mind you one if the women is 87 years old and the other in her early 60's". Couldn't they have sent home most of them and left 2 people to shut down the restaurant once these 2 women were safely out of the restaurant? I mean, we didn't need approx 8-10'people waiting. We DEFINITELY didn't need the lights turned out on us to get us out at 4:01 PM either!! How Rude is this?!?! Needless to say, we will never be back. Our companies employees will never eat here (unless they expense it on their own dime - which is doubtful once they heard what happened) Whomever the Management is at this restaurant, they should be "reorganizing" the current staff. read more

We walked in , asked how long was the waiting time for sitting , they informed us that it will be about 30-40 minutes and asked us to add ourselves in the waitlist and we will be called. Me and my partner decided to wait in our car as there was no sitting available for wait. We then entered the restaurant after 30 mins to check up on the waiting time - they informed us that there was 3 families waiting before us and then it will be our turn , we stayed inside the restaurant to wait for our name to be called - 30 minutes passed by and our name was never called. My partner then went to the front asked why they never called our name or when will we get a table, they then told us that they did not have our name in their waitlist and we had to add ourselves in the waitlist AGAIN and it will be a 30-40 minute wait AGAIN! But if there is a free table they will give it to us ( me and my partner understand customer service etc and we understand that restaurant can overpack especially on special holidays! ) My partner chooses to add us in the waitlist AGAIN. 30-40 minutes passed AGAIN and we asked how long before out sitting/table or when we will get the free table they offered for the previous inconvenience - they stated that they did not notify us that our table was ready, they removed our names out of their waitlist and they acknowledged that it was mistake they did - they informed us that we will have to be added on the waitlist list AGAIN - wait 30-40 minutes AGAIN - and wait until our number/named is called AGAIN. AGAIN, me and my partner have worked in customer service and we understand its a holiday, gets extremely busy and crowded. BUT this is not a way to run a service ESPECIALLY if there was an issue with a customer more than once - and did not try to find a solution for all the inconveniences. If service can not be done properly done/completed when BUSY/HOLIDAYS , you can not expect service to be properly done/completed on normal business days. read more

Been going here a couple times already and we order our favorites .. tuna, salmon, yellowtail sushi and the seared salmon, white tuna, and yellowtail .. but out of those the seared salmon is the best. The only time the order is wrong is when I order the salmon/tuna avocado handroll .. I am either given separately as in salmon handroll and avocado handroll when it suppose to be together. Also tried the Ramen which is not bad .. egg was a little overcooked but not a big deal for an all you can eat .. we also get shrimp tempura as an appetizer. read more

This AYC sushi is close to home. I come here often after going to the gym across the street . They just updated their menu and it is totally delicious. Saw the all you can eat sushi and was intrigued but it was a for sure stop with the hibachi! We were seated right away at a hibachi table. The waitress was pleasant and took our orders quickly. Once the chef came the performance was great! We ordered shrimp, chicken and filet mignon- which was cooked perfectly! Lots of food and all was delicious. We didn't prefer the noodles as much but they were tasty. Highly recommend eating here! read more

Wonderful new favorite of ours. As you walk into the place after walking over a wooden bridge to get over the fish filled pond the atmosphere is top notch and the food well it is also top notch. There was not a single roll we ordered that we did no like or love. They also have desert hand scooped ice-cream at that and it is all included for $30.95 a person all you can eat sit and relax as they bring it to you. Dinner plan has never been easier when an AYCE sushi is less than 5 minutes away from home. Umiya surpassed my expectation with their sushi selection and preparation of their dishes. Specialty rolls are well portioned and they were delicious but I don't recommend filling yourself up too soon before you've sampled kitchen appetizers and hot dishes. Nigiri was good, but sashimi was so fresh sitting on a presentable icy bed. There is no doubt that Umiya is one of my favorite choice to dine in Humble. read more

We were seated right away, and the staff was very calm, reassuring and smiled so pleasantly. We thought the atmosphere might be hectic, but it was very well organized. There are lots to choose from, and I'd suggest pacing yourself. The crab salad is my favorite, as was the seaweed salad. Both so light and tasty. The portions come in small plates so they seem small, but honestly are just the right amount. The sushi is really good, fresh tasting and beautifully plated. I visited this small chain one day during soft opening (or so the sign indicated, but I think they just forgot to remove the sign) and had about a 10 min wait to eat hibachi. They initially had me wait at the bar area at the entrance. The hibachi ranges between 14 and 20 for 1 item, and 21.50 for 2 items. They also have ayce on the other side of the restaurant. For lunch its $20, or $10 for kids 5-10 yo. Not sure about the dinner price, but it's usually more. I ordered the steak, which turns out to be about a 10oz NY strip. They automatically assumed I wanted fried rice, but I told them I didn't when the hibachi chef was about to make it. Thankfully I stopped him. Also, the rice that comes out if you order steamed tastes remarkable similar to long grain American rice. It has a funny taste. Maybe they are just working out the kinks still? read more

Horrible first experience. We came in around 11:30am when it wasn't busy--just one larger party up front. Our server was kind, but after taking our order, things went completely downhill. For an all-you-can-eat restaurant, the point is to actually get your food in a timely manner. Instead, we sat for 45 minutes and only received TWO small pieces of salmon. Meanwhile, multiple tables that came in after us were being served full orders--including the exact items we had ordered (fried rice and spicy tuna). When we asked, we were told the delay was because of the large party. That excuse didn't make sense, because other guests around us (not part of the big group) were still getting their food quickly. After nearly an hour, the manager finally came out with a tiny portion of fried rice, gave a half-apology, and then completely dismissed our concerns by repeating, "we have a large party." No accountability, no effort to make it right. To be honest, the experience felt discriminatory. We are African American, and while I hate to "play the race card," it's hard to ignore when every other non-Black table around us received good service while we were ignored and dismissed. Whether intentional or not, it left a very bad impression. We left immediately and will not be back. Management needs to do MUCH better. read more

Great spot for AYCE sushi! We came for lunch and had a pretty good experience. First off, the lunch price is unbeatable. $20 lunch for as much sushi as you can eat? Even if it's lower end fish, just the sheer amount of food you can have for $20 is amazing. Their menu is pretty big, with nigiri, rolls, appetizers, even fried rice and fried noodles! A bunch to choose from and it's all for $20. I really enjoyed the food here! The fish quality on the nigiri was solid, and the rolls were good. I probably wouldn't recommend eating too much of the apps as they were just ok, but everything we ate was enjoyable. Service was pretty good, our server Rachel was always fast and attentive. Umiya's AYCE sushi dinner is fresh and delicious. They also took great care with the presentation with custom branded plates and sashimi served on a mount of ice with decorative flowers. The service is attentive and warm. Everything was delicious. My favorites were the salmon sashimi and the spicy garlic edamame.
