I don't really use the massage chair at pedicures. The homemade scrubs they do are what really brings it home. Most places don't really do that anymore, so it's one of the highlights, and reminds of Jaydn Taylor in Alameda back in the days. This place is super cute and the nail tech is really sweet, but I had a couple issues…read more 1) I called for an appointment at a certain time and I could tell the person who took my appointment got the wrong time - I corrected her and thought we were good to go. When I arrived, the tech thought I was supposed to have the wrong appointment time. She called her boss, and I talked to her boss (the person I made the appointment with). They apologized and took me - no problem. 2) I'm not an expert in gel-x but I have gotten it enough times to know what it looks like to have it removed well, and this ain't it. I appreciated not having to soak my fingers in acetone, but I could tell there was still a film when she started painting. At that point I was too tired to correct her. I do love that they offer cat eye. But all in all, compared to my go-to nail shop in Oakland I'm able to tell the difference in quality and care of the nails. Not terrible, not great.
