Hallandale office- charged my insurance 54 for oral evaluation on dec 11- I went in for a cleaning paying $100 cash and have a receipt to that effect. I specifically requested to pay cash because my dental insurance is limited. I had to pull teeth just to get Myhalia to provide me with a receipt. I received multiple unwanted calls to confirm the same appointment. I visited this office 7 times within a six month period, so I interacted with them extensively. Asking for a bill breakdown I was meet with resistance and attitude. Then to find out that my in insurance was charged for an evaluation I was not made aware of after I paid cash for my cleaning and was giving a receipt to that effect is very disturbing and disappointing. I had a root canal and permanent crown completed in December 2023. To my surprise, the crown fell off this August; less than two years after it was placed. While I understand that crowns can occasionally become dislodged, I was very discouraged to learn that I would be charged $225 for recementing the crown. It is my understanding that when a permanent crown fails within such a short time frame, it is common practice for the original provider to recement it at no additional charge, provided the failure was not due to patient negligence such as chewing hard objects or grinding teeth. Many dentists offer warranties on crowns, sometimes extending coverage up-to five years to account for possible issues with fit, preparation, or material integrity and especially considering we pay exorbitant rates for the procedures. The office staff was kind and welcoming, and I would like to commend the hygienist who temporarily recemented the crown for her gentle and professional care. However, the crown fell off again within 24 hours whilst brushing and its stored on my night stand as i type this, which only highlights my concern about the durability of the original placement. I believe it is only fair that a crown placed less than two years ago should be recemented without an additional fee, unless clear evidence of patient negligence exists. Maybe the office can reconsider the policy or fee for future patients and provide a resolution that reflects a commitment to quality care and patient trust, as for me I believe it's time to find a new dentist in Miami who cares a little more than Ultra Smile Dentistry. read more

Do not go to this dentist office. We have had 2 terrible experiences where they damaged our teeth. The first time the "hygienist" began sawing down my daughter's teeth without asking or telling us. The second time, today, they bleached the teeth and they are now yellow and there is a bright white spot on the front tooth that is disfiguring. They also damaged a tooth and the enamel is now sticking out and we need emergency care. The office just denied it and offered nothing but a refund. They were rude. They were offensive. The manager there talked over me for more than 25 minutes and told me and would not answer my questions. They took no accountability and she just told me I was disrespectful over and over again and never answered my questions. She made me apologize to her "as two women" and would not let me talk to the dentist. read more

I was contracted as a dental hygienist under Dr. Neda Bahmadi and worked three shifts over a year ago. To this day, I still have not been paid the amount I'm owed--despite multiple follow-ups by phone, email, and even visiting the clinic in person. This is a clear case of wage theft. I did cleanings here the past 5-6 years because the hygienists did a good job. Today they lost a client because they refused to do a cleaning unless I paid for x-rays telling me it's the law to do x-rays annually which it is NOT! I was not required to do x-rays the last time I was in for a cleaning and This demand was made today at check-in with no warning. I've never had a cavity and they have my x-rays on file from past years. I don't have dental insurance and did not want to pay for unnecessary x-rays out of pocket. I made an appointment with another dentist and was told I can sign a waiver declining x-rays and There is NO law that requires x-rays for a cleaning!!! read more

Don't get fooled by how many reviews this place has. Bad dentists and incompetent staff. The front desk receptionist seems lost whenever I book an appointment, have a question about my insurance coverage, or ask about payments. She didn't even know the address to their second location in midtown and sent me to the wrong address. She even scheduled my appt with the wrong dentist and when I got there I was seen by a dentist I didn't even know. Unorganized and unprofessional so it made the experience stressful and time consuming. Dr. Bahmadi messed up on one of my fillings so bad that I had to get an emergency root canal shortly after. I saw Dr. Garcia as well to get 5 fillings done and TWO OUT OF THE FIVE FILLINGS HAS FALLEN OUT in only 4 months. I am writing this review because the second filling popped out of my mouth last night as I was flossing. I can't believe after all the money I spent and pain I went through that they couldn't even do a filling correctly. I have spent so much money and time with this place and have found a different dentist to redo all of the poor work that they did. I do not recommend this dentist office to anyone. Having emergency dental work during a global pandemic is not exactly highly recommended. A crown popped out during dinner and I was stressed! My dentist, Dr. Neda Bahmadi, sent her patients an email several weeks ago informing us all routine maintenance appointments will be rescheduled for a later date and her offices would be closed until further notice due to the city mandated lockdown. She also advised she would be available for any pain or dental emergencies with instructions on how to reach her on her mobile phone as needed. Who does that!? Anyway, I reached her on her mobile after 7:00PM on Tuesday night and she promptly scheduled me for an appointment on Wednesday afternoon. She did screen me and asked if I had been traveling, on a cruise or been out of state in the last month before confirming the appointment. I appreciated that! She met me at her Midtown office to get me taken care of. She wiped everything down, made sure I washed my hands correctly, took my temperature (97.3) and rinse with antibacterial mouthwash before ANYTHING got started. She made it a point that both of us were safe before proceeding. She put on PPE (gown, N95 mask, face shield, gloves etc..) and reattached my crown. She was thorough and excellent like always! Making sure I was OK throughout the procedure. I can't thank Dr. Bahmadi enough for truly being a caring health professional always putting her patients first! She told me this crisis has significantly affected her practice. Please consider Dr. Bahmadi if you need an amazing dentist in Miami. She has convenient office locations in Downtown Miami and Midtown. She will be offering cosmetics dentistry in addition to general dentistry when conditions improve and she re-opens her offices. If I could give this place 0 stars I would . I went here and had some work done . They told me it would $4 grand . I gave Casey my insurance info and she basically never checked to see if I was in network . I called my insurance and they said I was . I called the office spoke to Casey again who said that she assumed I had a HMO . I don't I have a PPO . This place is scam . They want you to pay cash not go through your insurance. This place charged me 2800 for a crown and they made it oversized which ended up killing the nerve on my upper and lower molars. When I initially came back for pain the next day she shamed me into leaving by saying that flossing 2 times a day was not enough and that I needed to floss more. She rolled her eyes and yelled at me. What a waste of time and money. No one at this office has any communication skills, they don't confirm appointments when they set them and they don not accommodate their PAYING clients when they f#*k up. They offer free bleaching HOWEVER, they scam multiple cleanings out of you first AND threaten you with a $50 cancellation fee (but they don't tell you when THEY cancel your appointment... SHOCKER!!) My husband had shotty work done (had caps fall out & over priced "patches"). He warned that he wouldn't go back..... I WISH I listened!!!! Do not waste your time with this dentist office. First off, it's is soooo hard to find a good dentist that accepts your insurance. I feel like Miami is extra hard, but maybe that's just me. There are a few things that deserve the second star like these positives: + Fairly new/clean office space + Easily accessible in downtown + Actually had a few nice front desk ladies But there are just too many negatives to count: - Don't give you the dentist you booked. I have gone to this place 3 times and always booked with Dr. Bahmadi. I have not seen her once. Not even around the office. When I asked about having an appointment directly with her since she was the only dentist that my insurance listed as accepting my plan at this location, they just shut me up and said it doesn't matter.) - This place doesn't have doors or walls, it's all open plan with a curtain, so you are being asked sensitive questions about your teeth, health, money situation to see if you can afford something and everybody can hear. - This place DOESNT HAVE A SINK...can I repeat that NOOOOO SINK! I had never encountered that. Not even in the poorest countries I have needed a dentist in. All chairs had sinks. Now imagine how I had to literally swallow my own blood and whatever they cleaned out of my teeth during a cleaning, because I couldn't spit it out. Not only did they not have the sink, but they didn't even allow me to rinse in a bucket or something in between. - One of the xray/prep guys always has his headphones on listening to loud music while he is doing stuff on you. He is also soooo rude! - If you request an estimate for any service whatsoever, they print it out and ask you to sign it. I refused and they insisted that it's only for their records, but I don't want my signature on anything unless I am willing to do it. It's a shame, because they looked good on paper, but I think the only reason why they are in business is because they are the only half way decent dentist that accepts a lot of dentist insurances. read more

I had a treatment plant that i completed 95% of, went in for my last 5% of work, for it 'fixed' to only get extreme pain within days and then a new treatment plan was created where i got a new estimate of $2,200 out of pocket with insurance!!! Literally just left my new dentist where he said they DRILLED INTO MY TOOTH PRACTICALLY KILLING IT CAUSING AN INFECTION hence where the pain was coming from! I had some fillings redone last week on Tuesday. Since then I've had headaches every single day. I initially met with Dr. Bahmadi about 6 months ago during my introduction to the practice while getting a cleaning. I was very comfortable with her, and scheduled my fillings to be redone as discussed with her months ago. When I showed up last Tuesday, a new dentist that I hadn't met attended to me and said she'd be doing the procedure. I was uneasy, but the practice was recommended to me and their cleaning is very good so I figured it would be okay. There was NO communication that an alternative dentist would be filling (not trying to be punny) in. The filling procedure seemed to be fine and done professionally but immediately after I have had severe tooth pain and sensitivity (this did subside 80% a week later) and have headaches every single day, which is not normal. There was NO communication as to what to expect and this was extremely transactional. I have tried to reach them several times since Friday to discuss with the dentist what is going on. I have left a voicemail with no one returning the call. Once again Poor communication, while I am having to deal with this pain. Initially a fee of $300 per tooth (2 of them) was discussed and agreed upon. During the procedure, the dentist and the nurse said that my fillings weren't deep. On checking out- They charged me an extra $180 and said that the fillings were very deep and the dentist had to use extra filling material hence the extra charge. At that point I really didn't care to argue so I paid the amount and left. Once again, this is either a scam or POOR COMMUNICATION again as I wasn't told that there was a possibility of an extra charge before or during the procedure. I was only told I owed an additional charge as I was walking out. I don't wish my experience with Ultra Smile on anyone else. It's incorrect for any practice to have such poor communication and can not in any regard recommend them for any serious dental work. I still haven't received a call back from them to connect with the doctor and I'm eating high strength Aleve to deal with this pounding headache and pain. I would've preferred to have discussed my experience with them directly rather than posting this review online, but since I can't reach them, I have to post this so that they know. I would still consider going back for a general cleaning as their cleaning was quite good 6 months ago, and the hygienist that I had was excellent. 4-5 stars for their cleaning, 1 star for the communication during proper dental work and 1-2 stars for the actual dental work as I will have to go to another dentist to get a second opinion now if they don't answer their phone. read more

What more can you expect from your Dentist? Ultra Smile is an ultra chic dentistry with modern decor and state of the art technology. The staff is very polite and knowledgeable. I started seeing Dr. Horst in early February and she was the sweetest and nicest dentist. Thanks to her and the staff I decided to do Invisalign and it has been a great experience. My cleaning and x-rays were done by Sandra and Andrea respectively and I have absolutely no complains about them. They listen to you and give you the most honest advise on products and healthy routines for your teeth. Unfortunately Dr. Horst could only keep her practice in Ft. Lauderdale and now Dr. Bahmadi has taken over. Dr. Bahmadi saw me the last time and I have to say that it was like visiting a friend. She makes you feel relax and comfortable. This is a plus for people who are nervous to see the dentist. No fear here, she is very gentle. The only reasons I don't give Ultra Smile five stars is due to the fact that the parking spaces are limited in downtown Miami and every time I visit, I end up paying anything from $5-$20 in a garage. Also, for my last visit I had an appointment at 5:30pm and ended up waiting 40 minutes to be seen. Needless to say this has been the only occasion where I had to wait. It's safe to say that I will continue to visit Ultra Smile for my oral care and I recommend it to anyone. read more

I really am delighted to have found this office. I have only had one visit but I came with quite some baggage and they have been so helpful from the beginning. I real appreciate their customer service and I have to say I am a young hard working women and I didn't come into their office with my pockets open. I came with an Insurance and tons of questions and they treated me all the same, not to mention the fact the dentist and her assistant stayed well past the late hour to help me with my teeth. Worst medical experience ever today. Rarely write a review, so let me get straight to the point.....this place recently started offering hours on Saturdays. Super. They called me up to remind me of a cleaning. Excellent. I informed them that I was on crutches and needed a very first appointment so I didn't have to wait around. They accommodated. They put me for Saturday morning - but because it's a Saturday they needed to take payment beforehand. Ok, no problem - So far so good. Had a 10am appointment, got there slightly before 9:45am. No receptionist at the desk to let me in. I buzz on the doorbell. Nothing. Ok, running late on a Saturday ok...it happens. Around 10:15am the hygienist is at the front desk and let's me in. Yeah, I'm not comfortable and in pain. I'm then informed that they couldn't clean my teeth because I had surgery the previous week. Well, hello? This was clearly explained to the receptionist. They did offer to resolve the issue by calling in a prescription for antibiotics to an area drugstore as a preventative measure as you're apparently not supposed to have dental work done within 2 weeks after surgery. Great - after taking car service to the office and waiting outside for 30 minutes on crutches the soliton is to then hop along however many blocks to the nearest pharmacy. Ugh. The job today was simple. Routine cleaning. Just a complete awful experience today. read more

Take my advice. Don't go to this dentist. Dr Bahmadi recommended that I get a crown instead of a filling. I took her advice and she did a terrible job on the crown. It doesn't fit properly and I had to have it redone. I was out of town when it fell out and the dentist I went to to have it cemented back in said that it fits so badly its going to keep coming out. I moved to another city and went to a new dentist recently. My new dentist informed me that my crowns were not done properly. There is a huge space between each ttooth allowing food and bacteriA to get in between. I now need root Canal and new crowns. Dr Bahmadi office looks nice but her work is terrible. What a wonderful experience! I happened to be in Miami for the week and needed to see a dentist while I was in town. This place came highly recommended, so I thought I would give it a shot. The office is in a very central area so it was easy to get to and the facility is clean, high-end and comfortable. I was greeted kindly when I arrived and best of all, didn't have to wait for my appt. No one loves going to the dentist- but at least I was able to meet with a professional who knows what she is doing and makes the utmost effort to make her patients feel comfortable. I will not be going back here. My first visit was excellent. I missed my follow-up appointment and my next visit was a whole other issue. The staff was rude because I missed the follow-up they recommended. Staff immediately went into diagnosing me in the first 5 minutes and refused to give me a regular cleaning. They said I had to get the more expensive cleaning treatment due to their 5 min diagnosis of my teeth. I have been going to the dentist regularly since I was little, have had one cavity and no other problems. Just because I didn't follow through with their initial recommendations, they tried to upsale and refused to provide me the service I requested. I will not be returning and strongly recommend anyone from going here. Staff was highly unprofessional and degrading. This is the best dentist office I've ever been too. Sandra gives by far the most thorough cleanings of any I've had, and she is a pleasure to be around. The dentist is knowledgeable and takes her time to explain things. The office is clean and modern, and the front desk staff are very nice and professional. I came to see Dr. Bahmadi, initially for Invisalign treatment. Her pricing is extremely competitive and her premises are extremely well located. For anyone in the Downtown, Brickell area this is a convenient spot to visit during your working hours. From the first to the last member of Dr. Bahmadi's team deserves praise for their attention to detail. The offices are well maintained and spotless throughout. Lizzie, at the front desk, the first person you will most likely meet on visiting Dr. Bahmadi's practice, is always extremely friendly, attentive and above all efficient (exactly what you would want from the person that will be managing your bookings and your insurance claims). Sandra, Dr. Bahmadi's oral hygienist, is also worth a mention in that my recent cleaning with her was probably the best since I first landed in Miami four years ago from the UK. I appreciate her clear enthusiasm for the job and the time she took to explain thoroughly specificities relating to my teeth and how I should take note of them when brushing and flossing etc It is clear that Dr. Bahmadi runs a tight ship which inspires confidence so I had no doubt that my consultation with her would go well. She was detailed, informative and above all frank in that she had no hesitation in painting a full picture of the advantages, drawbacks and full cost of Invisalign treatment. It is located downtown but it's definitely worth the commute and parking. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The day of my first appointment I felt very welcome. The technology is also state of the art from everything to smart tvs on the ceiling to panoramic x rays. You can get your teeth cleaned while you watch your favorite netflix shows. The place is very neat and organized and I liked the decor. For my second appointment I got 5 fill ins and was in and out in one hour. The doctor is very thorough and detail oriented and if your interested like me she will explain everything and let you watch. I didn't feel as if they were just trying to make money off of me i felt like she was genuinely concerned about my dental well being and only recommended things that were necessary. Just finished removing a bad tooth that I've had for a long time, the procedure went smoothly and everyone were very attentive. The doctor Cabrera and the young lady ( dental assistant) who help her made my procedure go by quicker. Dr. Cabrera is was gentle and the procedure was painless when she was extracting my tooth!
