I scheduled an appointment for my son to have his orthodontic separators placed because I was told the orthodontist is there Mondays and Thursdays until 4 PM. When we arrived, they said they couldn't do it and claimed I should have made a different appointment, even though no one mentioned any cutoff time when I scheduled. What made the situation worse was how I was treated. The female doctor with glasses and the older male doctor were both rude and dismissive. At one point the female doctor was signaling to other doctors not to talk to me anymore and even raised her hand toward me as if to stop me from speaking. The older male doctor also implied I was lying, saying they've "been doing this for 30 years." This is also not the first time I've noticed unprofessional behavior. I have personally seen this same female doctor speak rudely to employees, and my son has noticed it as well. He even mentioned it to the front desk before. After 10 years of bringing my child here, I expected professionalism and basic respect. Unfortunately, the behavior and bedside manner we experienced today were extremely unprofessional.

This place doesn't have an orthodontist on site and relay on a team every two weeks, anything in between is done by dental assistants. In my case I went 3 days in pain due to unproperly set spacers; The X-rays PC failed both times that I went there and received multiple unnecessary radiations trying the equipment to work; The impressions taken were deficient and had to be redone; The hardware was mislabeled and disorganized; After many attempts I decided that this is not the place to be on a long and expensive treatment; The experience was terrible and painful, DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS OR YOURSELF thru this and better go to an orthodontist office full staffed. I asked for my money back (Deposit of $625) and after expenses of records and documentation, they just returned $183 dollars. Again the staff is great for cleaning but very disappointed of the orthodontist capabilities.

Never once has she made me feel embarrassed, difficult, or ashamed of being afraid. She listens. She explains. That's why they get into "patient care" to care about the patient. I have always had this little seed that bothered me, but I stayed with them. Everything that has been billed to my current PPO plan has come back with EOB's stating what you may owe. When I told them what I had paid, they said I was overcharged. I always had a feeling It was too much, but again I trusted them. The guy who comes to the room to ask you for money, I will keep his name to myself, is Heartless. No matter how much I explained Wow that's a lot I can't do that. "Well, you can call care credit and increase your limit". The point is, I am also in healthcare-Revenue Cycle to be exact, my team works with patients why because we live in a world where everyone is struggling to make ends meet. But in this practice unfortunately it's all about $$. On my last visit the doctor saw me for 2 minutes and said I needed another extraction. I said I am going to end up with no teeth. Her answer "you have plenty of teeth left" sorry but that did not make me feel any better. Then my neighbor across the street said Have you read their reviews? Awful. So, I came to read them. I wish I would have read them a LONG TIME AGO. I am so disappointed in myself for trusting this place. I feel like I have had so many procedures that MAYBE were not necessary. I have paid thousands of dollars to this place after Insurance. I am not going back. They injected more and more anesthesia without even giving it a minute to take effect, and they started pulling the tooth in a hurry, causing a pain that I cannot describe. However, they found it funny and even appropriate to make jokes at that moment. The front desk treatment makes you feel like you are a bother. It's a horrible place. I had an appointment a few weeks back on a friday for oral surgery during normal business hours 1PM!!! I was quoted $2500 originally. I arrive and not only does nobody have the courtesy to tell me my dentist no longer works there but Ashley proceeds to tell me that when she spoke to me two weeks prior I was supposed to give a deposit. I run a business and giving a deposit for any services that I am acquiring is never an issue however she failed to mention this and the embarrassment immediately showed in her face. Of course I was extremely upset because my clients are booked out roughly 3 weeks ahead so I made this appointment a few months in advance only to arrive and basically be told that I wouldn't be seen. Of course I got upset and of course I told her that between the offices they have Something had to be done. She advised that another doctor could see me however he would have to evaluate before doing surgery And I agreed with her and told her that if we could at least get the process started by having him do an eval on me that would be great. She lied to the Pembroke Pines office and told them that I was being demanding to have surgery the same day. It seemed a little odd to me that Ashley had told me around 1030 at night that I could come in around 1130 1230 or so. Again being a business owner this is the only weekend I had so I took the opportunity thinking he was only going to do an eval and possibly surgery the following day. come to find out it's actually surgery that's being performed WITHOUT the so called eval and premedication process etc. I brought my 11-year-old niece and my partner with me not realizing that it was going to be a three hour process. I get to the office and end up paying with my credit cards close to $4300 at this point I'm already there I'm half asleep it's almost 1 in the morning I went ahead and agreed to do the surgery because the doctor had agreed. As Ashley whispered in my ear that she was too tired to charge me anything else I agreed and left. One of the screenshots posted is her asking to come pick up the money. This went on for about an hour back-and-forth and it is now at this point almost 6 in the morning. That is extremely unprofessional and as she's freaking out that she needs to collect the balance and so forth my head is pounding and I am not even able to see at this point. Let's fast forward to the second screenshot I had to take days off from work which I get that it's none of their problem however it's not my problem that Ashley starts screaming ranting and raving on the phone about how they report her car and she sleeping from a hotel and that she needs to collect the balance now at this point the cursing and showing extreme unprofessionalism by the employee. I get in touch with the supervisor at the Pembroke Pines office, Gabriella. It was very nice told me that she would get right on it they had a whole meeting about it and said that Ashley would be dealt with. I get a call from Victor from the Doral Office explaining that he's from human resources which he's clearly not and tries to speak to me about the situation and tells me that they would go ahead and suspend Ashley temporarily until they resolve the matter yeah during this whole thing he too is asking me when I'm going to pay the balance. The balance mind you is $1500 on top of the almost $4300 that I paid when I was originally quoted $2500. Over the course of the time being one or two days they dropped everything. I at least expected the $1500 balance removed not only because of the stress that was caused me because of the original $2500 estimate that increased a ridiculous amount being that I also have dental insurance. Apparently Victor had lied to Gabriella so one supervisor to another lies and says right begged him for Ashley's job and begged him not to fire her. I never begged for anyone's position. Especially someone with a mouth like hers. When I spoke with Victor directly come to find out that Ashley was never suspended maybe for the rest of that day but she definitely was back at work the following as I had several people calling the office only to find out that she was still working. Victor tells me that the owner which is another doctor is on vacation however when speaking to Gabriella that was never the case. The doctor never went out of town he was there the whole time and apparently these officers run on nothing but lies. The first few times I went to the office I didn't have any issues with them but things definitely turn for the worst SAVE YOURSELF $$ AND GO ELSEWHERE !!!!!!
