When we needed refills, extra plates for the wings, or anything else, the bartender would often avoid eye contact and simply say, "Hold on." This continued throughout our entire visit, and we eventually had to ask for the check ourselves. When she brought the check, she explained that it was only her second day on the job and that she hadn't received adequate training. I can certainly understand being new and needing time to learn, and I don't expect perfection from someone on their second day. However, being new or inadequately trained should not mean providing poor customer service or basic courtesy. There was also a lot of chatting with other staff members while customers were waiting for assistance. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't much better. The floors and tables were dirty, and we had to ask twice for our table to be cleaned. I honestly debated whether to leave this review, but I hope management sees it as constructive feedback. Please train and support your staff so customers receive the level of service they should expect. Finally, customers shouldn't feel pressured or guilty about leaving a tip when the service has been extremely poor. Tipping should reflect the quality of service provided. When I called, I asked to speak with a manager and ended up speaking with the assistant manager. After explaining the situation, I was initially told I could receive a credit. However, that quickly changed to an offer of only 10% off a future purchase. On a $16 order, that's about $1.60. Considering that I was unable to eat most of my meal and had to purchase food elsewhere afterward, I don't feel that a 10% discount is an appropriate resolution. I still have the remaining wings and am willing to bring them back to show that the issue was legitimate. As a loyal customer, I wasn't looking for anything unreasonable--simply a replacement order prepared correctly. I'm hoping to speak with the store manager and get this resolved. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles those mistakes is what keeps customers coming back.
