When I came home I notice how the gel nail were done all the nails have a dent, they don't have almond shape nail tips so he used the square nail to make the almond shape, went to another nail place closed by so they can look at my nails and they were stun of what a poorly job they done. DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU WANT CRAPPY NAILS AND TO BE INSANELY OVERCHARGED I've actually never in my life written a review on a business before but I actually cannot believe I got the worst nails of my entire life and was charged $100 WITHOUT tip or any design. I came in asking for poly gel and wanting to get a whole design and after two nails the light broke. I was told I would be given gel nails instead which I've never had before and reluctantly agreed. After sitting in the chair for THREE HOURS, and being made fun for shaking since I have ADHD which makes it difficult for me to stay still for long periods of time, I was finally finished and below are the nails I got and was charged $100. I then went back in and asked for a refund because of how terrible and stated "it's not my fault the light broke" and was told "yes it is" ???? I then was told I could only get them redone which came out "alright" and was told I should've been charged an extra $15 because I asked for French tips instead of all white after wasting so much of my time and money. read more

Disappointing Experience at Ultimate Nail Salon I recently visited Ultimate Nail Salon in Fort Lauderdale for a full set of gel nail tips, and I was extremely disappointed with the service and results. My appointment was on a Tuesday, and my nail technician, Andy, assured me that the tips he applied were properly sealed. However, I immediately noticed a concerning gap between my natural nails and the tips, raising worries about water getting in and potential fungus. By Friday, one of my nails split in the middle. I returned to have it redone and expressed my concerns about the lack of sealing. Again, Andy reassured me, but by Saturday, another nail had broken nail and the side edges were lifting off went back and insisted on having the tips removed due to the water getting underneath them and the lifting edges. The salon has a posted 10-day guarantee, but when I spoke to the manager, I was met with excuses--apparently, I wasn't a good candidate for tips due to the shape of my nails or because I do a lot of typing for my job. I've worn nail tips for half my life without issues, so this reasoning was ridiculous they took no accountability for how the nails were applied in the first place. I was told to switch to a powder manicure instead, but was told I needed to speak to the owner. After discussing with her, she offered to do it for half price. I refused, as I had just paid $85 for tips that caused me nothing but problems she ultimately did them for nothing but, I still lost money because they weren't as expensive as the Gel nails I urge others to be cautious when considering services at this salon. I had been a customer here for almost a year now and had continued to come back because of the relationship I had grown with the nail tech. Despite one previous negative interaction where I tried to stand up for myself after explaining something I wasn't satisfied with during the service, I tried giving benefit of the doubt. After today's experience I encourage anyone to stay far away. I had talked with my nail tech at my last appointment about doing tortoise nails on gel x, but after talking through it she said she didn't have the right colors at the time and would order them for my next appointment. Today, I went in with this plan and talked thoroughly about what I wanted and showed multiple pictures because I'd been told in the past that I was too confusing without having an actual photo... After using bright orange as the base, I asked a few different times to confirm that it wouldn't actually look orange at the end and reminded her I didn't want orange, and that i'm usually a more neutral tone person which she knew, so I was trying to trust the process. It didn't get better, and when she went to put an orange top coat on, I asked if we were doing brown and what was going to make the orange pop less since I had made it clear I did not want orange. I was responded back to with "well I don't have another color and can't cover it with brown or it'll waste all the time i've spent doing this" and then told me she didn't have time to fix it and sent me over to someone else to finish the job. I was so beyond uncomfortable and told her I felt it was incredibly rude and that I should not be blamed when I was exponentially clear about my expectations and she assured me multiple times she could do it and would do it "better than the picture". The person I was sent to couldn't figure out anything to do to fix it and was trying to make excuses for her behavior the entire time. I told him I wanted to leave and just wanted them to finish and that I didn't think I should be charged for them. I was told by both of them I would be "taken care of today". After still being very clear I was unsatisfied, I was brought to the front desk and was quoted $85. I was stunned!!! After back and forth basically arguing about the entire thing, I was given push back and had to pay the $85. Looking at my nails after walking out, they are clumpy and thick, and the second nail tech even tried to put brown on top of the entire nail on the french tip fingers and I had to correct him. I am mortified about how I was treated here, gaslit to be at fault even after standing up for myself and the dissatisfaction with my service - and will never be back. read more

Tang is incredible! I had one of the best pedicures ever.. I almost fell asleep too & it was late on a Sunday evening yet he treated me like I was his first customer of the day. I stumbled on this place as a local bc I frequent Remedy IV Monthly few doors down & broke a nail. This has to be one of the cleanest nail salons in all of Ftl!!!! I am very disappointed that other reviewers had a bad experience at this nail salon. There are two major things most people need to be understanding about. 1. COVID-19 rules and enforcement are still in place. You cannot expect things to snap back to normal. This industry was without business in a Broward county for several months and they weren't given a pass on paying rent. 2. Because of number 1, they can't have as many customers in the store and if they can't have as many customers than they can't afford to have as many nail technicians. Everyone please be kind to these industries that were shut down through no fault of their own. They may have gotten some help but not nearly enough to pay the high rents especially this business on 17th St Causeway. Jennifer my nail technician was very nice and did a beautiful job on my French gel manicure. My pedicure was a little rushed but the end result was beautiful. The next time I visit I will come earlier. Pre-Covid appointments were probably more timely but they have to take whatever business they can and appointments sometimes don't show up. The prices are a little high and you are charged 3% for using a credit card. This is a pricey area of Fort Lauderdale that caters to visitors. There are lower priced salons if you went west or north of the downtown area. I give the salon an A+ for Covid compliant. All of the technicians have gone to the Barbicide Covid training. The salon was spotless. This is the only place I have gone into that insisted I wash my hands prior to touching the nail polish bottles. I would definitely recommend this salon for both safety and service. read more

i was guided by the recommendation of my general manager when i went looking for a new place to get my nails done. hers were so cute, looked perfect, and appropriate for work, i had to check her place out. kat, the fantastic nail tech with whom i was advised to have my nails done by, is not only just a nail tech, but it looks like she runs most of the operations in the salon. she is very busy answering phones, scheduling clients, and directing the other staff, but is absolutely an expert at her craft, no doubt. i have an eye for artistic talent, and upon inspecting my nails thoroughly after they were done, i saw literally no imperfections. kat is just the best at what she does, and i havent seen better yet. in addition to my nails being absolutely beautiful, they lasted for like 3 or 4 weeks without breaking or falling off. granted, they were grown out and i was totally overdue for getting them done, but they never cracked or chipped or anything ! they clearly use great products that are meant to last ! i will totally be back, and ill never go to my old tech again read more

I thought I found a good nail spa but unfortunately not. I will not be returning here anymore. Why? Because this place is super money hungry and tried to get over on me but I was too smart for the scams. I signed up a while back as a member and they wasn't trying to give me my member discount. They were charging me and my boyfriend customer prices. It was a big scene in front of other customers with them talking loud in their language and getting others from the back. Even when we was walking out leaving they were still talking about us in their language so we wouldn't understand. They even told us that the discount is only for "combos" mani and pedicure which is not true. We had to show them in the books their own prices where it shows members prices vs customers. I have came here many times and haven't had this many issues in getting the member price. It seem like they changed some of the staff and this place is going downhill. $45 for a man pedicure with gel polish gel is ridiculously priced. They also charged extra prices for most of their polishes which is ridiculous. They are many other better service spas around to continue to go here. I don't mind paying the extra price but don't try to scam me! I could've gotten a more luxurious spa treatment for my boyfriend for the price that was paid. If I could give ZERO stars I would. They will hurt in the end from losing our business. read more

I just moved to Fort Lauderdale from Dallas, Texas and was looking for a nail shop. The one I went to prior to ultimate nails spa was terrible, I could have done a better job myself. I am extremely thankful to have found this place. Katie, the owner did my nails and boy was she amazing. She did them thin, shape them correctly and the polish was nice and smooth. The place is clean, not overcrowded and it doesn't have that terrible nail salon smell either. I was with my prior nail lady in Dallas for seven years so I am happy to have found this place and Katie in-particular. If you are looking for a new spot or are here on vacation I definitely would recommend this place. Huge Red Flag! I got an upper lip waxing and the woman who worked there double dipped the stick into the wax, which she put on my face and put that same stick back into the wax. It's 3 days later and my upper lip is flaking and whenever I have gotten waxed somewhere else, I've never have had an issue with flaking. Also overpriced. Nails only lasted a week instead of the usual three weeks when I get the same service done somewhere else. read more

Okay, so anyone who knows me is aware of how important a great manicure is and that I'll only get that manicure from one nail professional. After getting dipped nails for the last 8 years with one person, you can imagine how difficult it is to move to a new city and have to find that one great person again! Especially after us getting to know each other and her perfecting the exact look I wanted... Well, I definitely found my place here with Kevin and he is THE BEST!!! Before finding Kevin, I had tried out another nail salon in the area with strong reviews and ended up with a woman who misshaped all of my nails and ground my natural nail down so thin that they have become sensitive and as flimsy as paper . Kevin fixed the shape PERFECTLY, was extremely gentle and is working with me to help them grow back thick and strong like they were before that whole disaster. It gets better - LADIES THEY SERVE WINE!! Well, coffee too if it's too early in the day for wine (said nobody ever as they poured a mimosa), and full sized bottles of water on offer for each guest! This has been my second opportunity to use services at this nail salon and I must say it's been consistently good. Each time I walked in I was greeted at the door and asked how they can help me. They offered wine, soda and water; which is not required but appreciated to offer that special touch. The customer service is outstanding. I enjoyed the conversation from the staff and it felt like hanging out with family, while we talked about our personal lives. Liam did my pedi both times I went and he did a great job. He takes his time and does his best to make everything perfect. What I liked the most is with my lack of knowledge in the nail world I was given good advised on what would make my nails the healthiest and that's something I never remembered getting going into any nail salon.
