Check in was quick, I had an appointment. Mask required, temperature checked, directed to wash my hands before seeing my technician. When doing a mani, there is a divider between you and the technician. Seating in the waiting area was definitely NOT 6ft. Best to make an appointment. I appreciate there was no unnecessary chattering between workers and individual focus on the customer. They worker faster! Finding good techs is hard; Cindy did a good job.

I went to universal nails and Bella did my nails . she's so sweet and so talented . she was able to give me exactly what I was looking for and more . it's appreciated when a tech actually listens to what u want and achieves it . also they are open everyday ! my only days off are on the days most nail salons are closed so that's amazing . the owner and Bella were so accommodating. I love it here and most definitely will be back . absolutely book your next appointment with Bella , you will not be disappointed

Again terrible polishing. Did not seal the ends properly. As well as nails being super thick and polish is uneven.

I have gotten my nails done here a few different occasions. Louie usually does a good job, he talks or is quiet based off what you prefer, and is kind. I haven't had any issues with him. He's amazing. Unfortunately my most recent visits(last three) were absolutely TERRIBLE and I will never return here again. I believe in giving businesses grace and keeping in mind that sometimes people have off days. However I can see that wasn't the case these last few visits. They were just rude because that's how they are. Louie was busy the last few times I came in so I had to go with other nail techs. Tony(twice I've had issues with) and Bella. Tony doesn't really understand/speak English well. When asked he claims he does, but it was apparent he did not. Especially after today. That or he was playing dumb. I had to ask for someone else to come over to explain to him what I had said about 6 times repeatedly. Once she explained in their native language he understood and began doing what I was asking. Let's back up. Originally I was placed with someone and she got started on my fill. She burned my nail bed when drilling and made my natural nail(where the fill of acrylic was to be laid) entirely too thin. It was red how much she drilled in the one spot and she had to soak my finger in cool water after. Then her appointment walks in and they move me to Tony. (Why place me with someone who all ready had an appointment??!!) Tony burned my thumb with the drill(you can see the burn) and burned the rest of my fingers drilling. I asked for short nails. Instead of using the regular file he wanted to drill(hence all the burns) because it was too much work. Are you kidding me!? Then he kept filing them slanted so my nails are all crooked and uneven. You can see through the black polish as there weren't enough coats put on. Polish is also uneven, lumpy, and has air bubbles in it. And he didn't properly polish the edge of the nails. Cuticles weren't cleaned up properly like I requested either. As for my toes those are also filed crooked. Thank God I noticed he only put one coat of black on one of my toes before I got up! At first glance the nails look cute. The lighting inside the salon sadly makes it so you can't see all the trash until you get out into sunlight/ better lighting. When it was time to pay they added more money. I asked why it was more than I was originally told the woman said it was because I used three different polishes and he had to file my nails short. I've never been charged for using multiple colors so I know that was a lie. And nail length change is only $5 more. So what was the extra $20 for!? Honestly I was so frustrated at this point I just paid and got out of there. And she had the nerve to ask if I wanted to leave a tip!? With what I just experienced absolutely not. That was the worst service ever! My visit from last week was very problematic as well. I was placed with Bella, showed her a picture of how I wanted my French manicure, she began working. As she's polishing I'm not liking what I'm seeing so I tell her. She starts to get snippy and saying "that's what you asked for" and "don't worry I'll fix it". So I let her keep working thinking she was going to fix it. After that next coat had been cured I told her to take it off because I didn't like it and it didn't look like the picture. She literally yells and says "that's what you asked for! It's not my fault you don't like it! I'm doing what you asked!" HOW DO YOU YELL AT A PAYING CUSTOMER!? Extremely unprofessional!!!! I sternly explain to her that it looks nothing like the picture and I would like her to remove it and do a different color. She continues yelling saying it's my fault and that it's $5 if I want to take it off. At this point people are staring and I'm furious...I ask why am I paying $5 to remove something I told her I didn't like and she insisted she would fix. She continues that "it's $5 you don't like it! It's policy! This is what you asked for!" She didn't want to take it off (she's still trying to polish at this point!!) so I yell back and tell her "Stop giving me attitude, I don't like it and I want you to remove it now! I'll pay the $5, but you don't need to talk to me like that or give me attitude because I don't like it! Especially considering I am paying for this service!" She sucks her teeth and starts drilling it off. Then she says something in her native language to her coworkers and two of them come over and start looking and talking back and forth. Absolutely ridiculous and UNACCEPTABLE!!! She rudely asked me what color I wanted and when I said I didn't know and needed the color basked she literally stomped off. Came back and slammed the basket on the table. Smh. After I picked my color there was no more talking and the rest of the appointment went on in silence. I have never been treated this way and I cannot believe they think it's okay to conduct business in such a manner. It is appalling. Won't be returning.

Hannah is amazing! She's hard to book with for a reason. I especially love this Christmas nail design she did for me. I swear there's nothing she can't do. I'll only come here to get me nails done.

I went to get a gel refill and it was one of the worse experiences I have ever had at a nail location. I had to draw on his receipt pad how to do coffin nails. The nail tech took an hour and a half to do a gel fill. He never measured my nails to ensure that they were the same length, size, shape or thickness. Throughout the time, I had to inform him that he was not doing them correctly and that my nails were two different sizes, shapes and thickness. I had to take the nail file myself to try to assist with shaping my nails. I asked him if there was anyone else to do my nails as they were not being done correctly and I was by this time late for work. He did not respond. I asked if he is able to give a discount as he was not sure how to do my nails and messed up several times and he laughed and nodded his head yes. After an hour and a half, my nails still not bring the same in both hands, cuts on my fingers, and no separation between the nails and my cuticles, the owner still told me that I had to pay full price because I should have asked for some else if he wasn't doing a good job. I informed her that I did. She told me I was lying. I asked her to have the bill tech come to the front to ask him if I was lying and she refused. I get my nails done there most times and though I have had issues with them before, I continue to give them the benefit of the doubt and not give up on the business; however, todays incident was not ok and not professional. It is very sad when people cannot take accountability for their wrong doing and to attempt to make it right. Just because you have more customers fired not mean you can treat other customers anyway you like.

Reviews don't lie, don't waste your time that's the manicure I paid for! Should have followed my mind.

I went to that place 5 times and I got nail fungus they should disinfect better
Kimberly B.

It's a very dirty place. I was getting a pedicure there and I got fungus on my nails. I told the owner and she didn't do anything. They should clean better, thanks.

Colors to choose from
Erionna J.

This is my go-to nail salon, the reason I like it is because it has a extensive selection of colors, more so than most nail salons, the biggest issue I have is going to a salon and looking for a long period of time for the perfect color, however here they have tons of colors to choose from whether it's dip, gel, or just basic color and they have a bunch of different designs they can offer as well.

Thank you Leann! Ho ho ho! Cute! Lol!

My first experience was marvelous experience compared to similar establishments I have patronized. I was greeted by a young lady who was the designated check-you-in person. It was a mid after noon Saturday, and I got seated immediately for a mani/pedi. All of the techs has name badges. My tech was Leann. All I have to say is that I love Leann and I don't want anyone else ever to do my nails but her. Lol! That's an extreme statement but that's how she made me feel at that time. She was professional, she was in command of what I asked for and she delivered, light pleasant conversation, she knew her craft. I fell asleep...zzzzz....woke up with gorgeous french toes. She was also directing traffic.....more than a just tech perhaps maybe? The prices are on the wall and seemed about average for similar services compared to elsewhere. I didn't have any surprise charges, Leann was very clear up front as to how much my service would be. Y'all know I'm fancy sometimes with the nail requests. Lol! Everything seemed clean, sterile practices. I'm sold.

The prices

I just moved from New York to FL and I must say the prices are different and you can get better deals in New York. My friend was telling me about this location and I tried it out. This was a cool location because a lot of the staff speaks English and nice customer service. I did not have to wait long to get my pedicure done. They do have massage chairs which I always like!! I hate locations that do not invest in the massage chairs!! The nail tech took her time and did not cut or bruise me up so I was very happy. The deco is nice and clean location. I really like the quote messages they have on their mirrors. I would come back and be sure to join their reward membership!!

I asked for removal by soaked off but she didn't even reach for acetone. She just started clipping & ripping the acrylic nails off.
Tara L.

I asked for my acrylics to be soaked off, but she didn't even reach for acetone - just started clipping & pealing the acrylic off....along with the entire top layer of my nails. They don't care about your nails at all. Rushed through the painting the nail when the shop is empty...

A nice lady answer the phone and she informed me that they do take walk-ins and ask what time I would like to come in and I told her pretty much as soon as possible and she told me that someone would be able to see me right away. I arrived at about 11 AM and was greeted and asked to put in my phone number and a minute later an employee came to walk me to the chair get a pedicure. I will say upon walking in the place look very nice and neat. They had a little bit of pictures and decor on the walls. Peter did my regular manicure and regular pedicure. Peter was super nice and usually employees don't make too much conversation, but Peter made me feel welcomed and comfortable and we talked pretty much throughout my whole session. It was a great experience my nails turned out great. Peter gives great leg massages. Thank you to Peter for teaching me a bit about Vietnam.

This visit I booked the Sensation Spa Pedicure with Billy and it was outstanding. It starts with an essential oil bath and a handmade exfoliation, then a 20-minute massage with oil, paraffin wax, and hot stones. They finish with a moisture cream, plus a steam eye mask and heated shoulder patch. The massage was so relaxing I almost forgot I was in a nail salon. I can't imagine getting a pedicure without it now. For my hands, Ken shaped my nails into the best coffee shape I've ever had. Both Billy and Ken were quick, detailed, and listened to exactly what I wanted. I never felt rushed when choosing my design. Derrick at the front desk deserves a shout-out too. He's upfront about pricing, so there are no surprise charges like you find at many salons. Their prices are fair for the quality you get. If you're thinking about trying Verdant, do it. Once you experience their service and the Sensation Spa Pedicure, you won't want to go anywhere else.

This is actually the exact reason it took me so long to even decide to color my hair in the first place. I was worried about ending up with something too highlighted, too chunky, or not natural-looking. I trusted this salon because my family members go there, and because the stylist reassured me multiple times that she fully understood the soft "expensive brunette" look I was trying to achieve and could absolutely do it. I spent a long time explaining and showing inspiration photos for a very specific look: soft, blended "expensive brunette" dimension with subtle low-contrast color and soft layered shaping. The photos I showed were rich dimensional brunettes -- not chunky, stripy, or heavily highlighted. Unfortunately, the final result looked much brighter, chunkier, and less blended than what I had requested, and the haircut also did not reflect the layered V/U-shaped look I asked for. Because this was my first professional color service, I relied heavily on the stylist's guidance regarding timing and expectations. Before the service even began, I specifically expressed concern about whether there was enough time to fully achieve the look I wanted, and I even offered to come back another day entirely so the stylist would have more time to work with me and not feel rushed. I was repeatedly reassured that there was "plenty of time" and told not to worry. Since I had never had a dimensional color service before, I trusted that assessment. Unfortunately, the appointment ended up running extremely late anyway, the salon was closing by the end, and I never really had a proper opportunity to sit down and fully evaluate the final result before leaving. However, once I did get home and properly see my hair, I knew immediately that it was not what I had asked for. I actually contacted the salon shortly after the appointment because I knew almost immediately it wasn't what I wanted, but shortly afterward I experienced serious health-related circumstances and was unable to return within the normal correction timeframe. Months later, once I was finally able to address my hair again, I called hoping to work something out. What disappointed me most was how dismissive and defensive the response immediately felt. Before I could even fully explain the situation, it became clear there was no willingness to work collaboratively or even discuss possible solutions -- despite the fact that I fully acknowledged the time that had passed, explained the serious health-related circumstances that delayed my return, and specifically offered to pay again if needed. If you are specifically a brunette looking for very soft, blended, low-contrast dimensional color, I would strongly recommend making sure the stylist you book with truly specializes in that aesthetic. At the very least, I believe clients spending this amount of money should feel there is some willingness to work with them respectfully when the final result clearly does not align with the inspiration photos provided.
