This is the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I came in for a pedicure and a full set. My short nails turned out lumpy and thick like chiclet gum. I was repeatedly cut and stabbed on my feet by the cuticle nippers and repeatedly asked the lady to be careful. When she was ready to polish i realized that even after all the stabbing she did to my feet she didn't clean the cuticles up properly. So i asked her to clean it up for me. She got i up and told me to get up and someone else would do it for me. She grabbed my drink up out of the cup holder and slammed it on another nail techs station. I asked the manager (the man who sits in the front, the same one who gave me lumpy nails) what was her issue and he told me I said something to make her mad and i can go somewhere else if i want. I was shocked at his response. I paid $108 for my nails and feet... just to be treated like shit. I was recently hospitalized and needed some R&R and this is the service I got. I will never go back here again. If i could give them 0 stars I would. A nice girl finished my feet for me and polished them nicely. I wish i knew her name. read more

The nail tech was 'Amy'. The pedicure was OK, but I was forced to get up and leave during the manicure because I had to REPEATEDLY ask her NOT to cut my cuticles. Additionally, she also argued with my when I asked her to cut my nails shorter, stating that cutting them any shorter than what she had done, would hurt me. (FYI, I went to another salon afterwards, where the nail tech had zero pblms cutting my nails to the length I wanted.) To make matters worse, in my haste to get out of that salon before I exploded, I didn't realize until later, that she charged me for a manicure - when the job was barely done! I would absolutely be contesting that charge with my cc company. I CANNOT more vociferously, give this place - and ESPECIALLY nail tech 'Amy' - a more horrible review. 3I've been here at least five times and they're always very friendly. Today I had a spa pedicure and there's usually never a wait because they have eight spa pedicure chairs. The nice ones that massage, recline, etc. The young woman took her time and she did try to offer me other services or add-ons in a very pleasant way, but I declined. Her skills were great and my feet needed a touch up. So, for $20 plus tip, I got a nice pedicure, my feet scrubbed and lower legs massaged within 30 minutes. A great break during the day from work and it just feels good. How many of you actually wash your feet when in the shower? I mean with a scrub brush and soap!?!? Just getting them wet and letting soap run off them is not enough! read more

When I walked through the door a young man who spoke very little English pointed to his nails and asked me if I wanted them I said yes and pointed to my feet so he summoned me over to the pedicure bowl, my first step was to get my temperature which was the custom since COVID-19, so I thought it was not working and he started the water and asked me to put my feet in the bowl and he immediately starts working on my feet without adding any soaking solution that's when I knew something was wrong and that they were not the same people. So, I started asking questions regarding Tyler, Lue, and Mimi, a women yelled out to me I will be right with you MAM, so After she finished cashing out another client she went to the back and got some unknown powder and shook off a spray of blue-green powder into the water with an attitude, and the young man looked down at the water in amazement and was surprised. She said that they moved away Everybody. I knew then that something was really wrong, I started to get up and leave, but I said no I'll wait to see how this was going to end. He did a terrible job and the polish on my toes was ok. I went to Amy and she was sloppy with the polishing, but while I'm sitting there the young man went to a bottom cabinet and got a jug of some pinkish-looking solution (nasty) rock-looking trash mixture at the bottom and poured it into a bowl and took it to another client for her to soak her nail polish off, and then he went back got the Jug and pour what was left in the bowl back into the same jug and put it back in the cabinet. I like this place! I've been 3-4 times now for manicures and/or pedicures. This is located in a strip mall and there is ample parking. I've only had gel nails three times ever in my life. I had them done here twice and they held up quite well! I got about 3 weeks out of them the first time with a solid color and 4 weeks with the french manicure on my second visit. I had them done a third time at another salon, but they did not last as long as the ones at VK. I try to only do gels a few times a year since I don't want to damage my nails, but I will definitely come back here for them next time. The people here are pleasant. Two younger guys did my awesome gels in the past. Lu did my pedicure and it looks very nice. Good place to get a basic pedicure and get your toes looking nice. read more

However both of the times that I have come here without an appointment I ended up getting Tony who, in my opinion, did not do a great job on my nails despite having overly long sessions both times. This time my nails weren't the same length and they were cut down way too much in the beginning without my consent. When he was drilling my nails he kept coming off the nail onto my finger which made me pretty anxious. Also the paint job at the end came out bad due to the nail polish being too old and sticky but he ended up using it anyways.. maybe I will be back but not to him. read more

Worst service I've ever received in my life. Tomorrow is my birthday. I specifically asked the lady in the front how much is gel she says 35 and I'm like ok well I want a design on my nails she's like that's more and I'm like yeah that's fine. The original lady did a great job. Both mani and prepping my mani for the other girl who can do "designs" first apparently the lady is already late. Something about picking up her daughter which is understandable. She walks through the door and the 1st lady politely grabs my phone and shows her the design and barely looking at it she's like yeah I can do it. They sit me down to a different chair and now the 2nd lady grabs my hand very rudely and I'm like do you want me to zoom in on the phone and she rudely said "I don't need that". And I'm like um okay. She has my hand in her hand in a fold in manner so I can't see what's she's doing. She didn't show me her work at all and RUSHED and literally did the 5 fingers in 5 seconds I kid you not. She immediately grabbed the machine to set them and I'm like woah woah woah hold on. I haven't even seen them. They looked so bad. I'll provide pictures of what I asked for. She put THREE big white dots and the flowers petals with the yellow were merging together so it looked like a blob. She then rudely yanked my hand to them all off and I said politely look of you want just start with one nail and show me and we can work from there. She Brantley and rudely told me "no I can't do it". Like damn bitch you're rude af , grabbed my shit, did whatever YOU wanted AND now you're saying you can't do it. I was pissed. It gets worse. The lady originally told me 35 for gel mani pedi. I get to the front with no design in my hands jjst the back part of it because ima have to go somewhere else to fix it and Shes like "50$" I'm like wtf are you talking about. I got so mad like you told me 35 PLUS you didn't do what I asked you and confirmed from the beginning and I told them tomorrow's my bday so it's important and I said no. I'm not paying full price for whatever you think you guys did. Paid 35 and gave the first chick a 10 dollar tip and I LOUDLY SAY "I hope your daughter never gets treated how you just treated me". This place deserves zero stars for the way their nail techs behave ! I am an easy customer I sit quietly for my service and mind my business. The man servicing me I believe his name is Tommy as per my receipt kept trying to offend me. I ignored him the first few times he addressed me and then told him he was being offensive. I walk to the bowl to wash my hands and ask to pay and leave because I couldn't take it anymore. I come back to get my receipt and he addresses me again and I'm like please leave me alone I sat here quiet this whole time and you want to be rude to me. But the spotlight shines on Tyler. He's the new manager there and did a wonderful job. I'm in love with my nailsss. At no time during the nail job did the guy allow me to wash my hands, he told me water and oil will ruin the gel polish. Unless they have some top secret polish, I have never heard this before. Every time I tried to adjust my ear piece or scratch his eyes would follow me, I had to tell him to relax I had to adjust my ear piece. I only gave it two stars because the guy that did my feet did a good job even though I was sent to another person because he didn't do acrylic. I was there yesterday for the first time. For a fill and a pedi. I was referred there since my place of 10 years was closed down so I needed to find a new nail tech. Based on reviews online I decided to make an appt with Lu for my pedicure. She was great. She doesn't do acrylic so someone else had to do that for me on my toes. I ended up Tony for my nails. he took a very long time (3 other clients got their fills done before I was done). they didn't turn out at all as i asked for. I repeated what I wanted numerous times but he still did his own thing. They were all full of bumps, drilled and filed unevenly and the polish was uneven and all over my cuticles. I could've done it better on my own. Same guy did the acrylic on my toes. Also didn't file for do them as i asked and they were not even. I don't like to complain but being that I walked out spending $81 for a fill and a pedicure makes me believe I should've been happier. If I had spent $25 I would've left and never went back. my nails look like someone with no experience did them. I would go back for a pedicure with only Lu but as for the nails, I am so very disappointed and unless the owner, Tyler were to do them for me and if they turned out great then I may continue bringing business there. Also, how did I pay what I did based on their prices? Fill - $15 plus gel polish is $30, Pedi $23 plus (2) toes fixed at $3 each is $29. $29 for overall pedi plus $30 for overall fill = $59. Is like I paid an extra $20 with tip for what??? I walkout out after 3 hours with horrible nails and over charged. Again, if it was all worth the money I spent I wouldn't be so upset. People are shocked it's my natural nails and how it is neatly presented. Very affordable and worthwhile - my nails last about 3 weeks. Love that they have nexgen nails and flexible selections. Had the most interesting, yet rude experience with Tyler at VK Nails in Sunrise, FL this morning. I've been there several times & have had a variety of experiences in his chair. His attempts at "ratchet humor" are cute at first, laughable....but he often crosses the line with shock value & inappropriate comments to customers......all in an effort to get people to react. Couple that with his moody, twitchy/switch personality & you end up leaving that nail salon without your nails done like me. I simply needed a repair/replacement on a deep break on a nail. He was attitudinal & slick at the mouth......basically asked me why I didn't go to the tech who most recently did my nails. Calmly, and in the same manner he quietly clapped at me, I responded that I got them done in Cali, and that I'm here now paying you to do it". He did not like that response, so I politely told him you put that energy out there so be willing to take it Where I went previously for my nails doesn't matter, I just need my nail repaired. I've managed his arrogant nature in the past but today wasn't the day. He removed the nail but WOULD NOT replace it. So needless to say, VK NAILS.....IT'S A NO FOR ME DAWG I drove right over to Venetian Nail Spa in Plantation, my old stomping ground, and was courteously, professionally & graciously taken care of by Linh & Hannah. I enjoyed coming here for my second time having gel nails. I was told they would not chip or crack unless I do excessive activity. I work on a computer. Two of my fingernails chipped a week after having my nails done on a Saturday. I went back the following Saturday without an appointment and asked if I could have the two nails re-done. I was made to wait for an hour to have 5 minutes of nail repair completed. As I was a paid customer who needed a repair, I should have been taken care of in a more timely manner.
