I thought I put up a review but I guess I never finished it. Figures! Last week was my last visit to that salon. I will never walk through those doors again. My nail technician was always kind and patient and wonderful. My problem was with the people at the front end. More than once I was either not greeted or treated rudely. What happened last week was the last straw. I errored on the time I was supposed to be there. But I wasn't late... I was 4 1/2 hours early! For some reason I had my appointment down for 10:30 AM when it wasn't until 3 PM or 3:30 PM. At this point I don't recall because it doesn't matter anyway. In a very firm and unfriendly tone the owner said to me, "your appointment isn't until 3 PM ". I was in shock and not loudly just said... No it's now. She said no it's at 3 PM. I showed them my phone at which time the lady standing next to her walked back and asked my nail technician. She at that point came forward and said Karen look... She still had the email we exchanged regarding my change of time. I said oh my God I don't know how this happened. The owner flirts out, "well if you would get the text messages this wouldn't happen ". I opted out of the text messaging because it was constant. That and the phone calls and I found it extremely annoying. In the years I have been going there this was the first time I screwed up and there was no reason for them to treat me the way they did. I never asked for a freebie... They are pricey... But I like going so I paid for it as long as I could afford to. As a business owner the lady in charge should know that you treat your customers equally. I sent my Tech a text message telling her what I thought of them and the way they treated me but of course because they are her coworkers and her "friends ", I was given the heave ho. I used some strong language but I think anyone in my situation would've felt the same way. I really should've just let it go but I felt it important to notify the Public. The reason I should've let it go and I will after today is because I no longer have artificial nails and I will now go back to going to any walk-in salon as needed. Or if I'm going to an event. Boy am I saving a lot of money! In fact it pays my cats veterinary bills in full! Yay! read more

Got my nails done for prom, only went here because my I was re-gifted a gift certificate. My nails look absolutely terrible. the design is smudged, the lady filed cuts into my skin, the root of the nail looks like trash, the UV machine burnt my skin and I almost cried when I got into my car because I paid $90 for nails I HATE. This review is specifically for Patrick or as I like to think of him, Master of Curls! I've been getting my hair cut by him for almost a year and I try not to think of my life before him. When I first went to him I described my hair as heavy curtains on the sides of my face. He got a giggle out of it but then he went right to work. He listens and understands every single one of my concerns and then really takes his time cutting my hair. He gives me unbiased advice about products and tips for hair care outside of the salon. I highly recommend him to anyone with curly hair. There are other salons in our area but I have seen their work and I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Patrick. Not to mention, those other places are quite pricey! As long as Patrick is here, I will continue coming back time and time again. read more

Upon entering, the receptionist offered coffee or a cold drink, and the wait was short, which was surprising since the salon was packed! This salon is AMAZING! I had gone to them a few years back but then moved and found a salon a little closer to home. When my hairdresser moved away, I went through a series of bad color/cuts from different places. Three weeks ago, I had it, with my last experience being at a high end salon in New Haven. I went there to get my hair colored (with permanent color, which I never needed, as I have no grays - I have only ever gotten glazes) my natural color (medium brown) and my hair turned ORANGE at the roots and BLACK at the ends. After going back to them twice after that, both unsuccessful attempts to fix it (which came with an attitude and them basically telling me I was causing them to lose money and time for other clients), I cut my losses and remembered how great Ultimate Image was and decided to go back. From the start, the reception staff was lovely and really listened to how stressed I was and got me in THAT DAY. I met with Laura, explained everything to her that I went through, showed her pictures and she came up with a great plan to color correct and fix my hair exactly the way I wanted it to begin with. She was unbelievably understanding patient and kind and took her time. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. After all the money I've spent in the past year trying to get it right, this was such a blessing. I won't go anywhere else. Side note: I brought my 8 year old daughter with me and everything took a few hours and Crystal, who is one of the helpers there, was so sweet and good with her, getting her a snack and water and she even put her hair in a beautiful braid for her.
