I've been going to Family Nails for a little over a year! I am still amazed at Lucy and the girl who sits next to her for their ability to meet someone and remember their names after their first visit. I always get my chellac done with Lucy and she does an amazing job each time. My manicures last me 4 weeks without any chipping/peeling. However, I'm currently pregnant and the growth has me needing to go to her again 2 or so weeks later. She is a bit far from where I currently live and when I don't feel like making the drive to see her I instantly regret getting my nails done at any other place. The environment here is very welcoming & all the ladies who do pedicures do a great job as well. My only complaints are that sometimes when busy everything does feel a little rushed so I suggest going on a Sunday & I do not like the massages they give you while you are getting your nails done --- they can feel a bit rough... But then again some people may enjoy them. read more

Sub par at best. I went there for a UV gel fill and it came out decent after about an hour and 15 minutes. There is no attention to detail as you can see she didn't even bother to cap off the tip of the nails with color. I made several attempts to communicate with my tech about how the nails were to thick and she needed to file down the top which she couldn't understand due to a language barrier therefore they came out lumpy and still to thick. The place is ok and there were ladies that frequent often but for $45 for a UV gel fill I'd expect more. read more

Amazing! Extremely accommodating and just plain nice. Customer service was just above and beyond and the space is very welcoming! They were super friendly. They did pretty good on my nails, I would've given them more stars BUT when I asked for a certain look for what I wanted, they totally did their own thing. Also, after telling them I didn't want gel because I didn't want to pay so much, what was only supposed to at least be $30 bucks plus a tip somehow became $55 plus a tip. Will not be returning. Sub par service. This was my first time at Family Nails and it will also be my last and it's such a shame since at least 3 people recommended I come here to get a gel manicure. I walked in (with an appointment) and they sat me down to soak without saying a word and left me to do someone else's nails for 25 minutes. When she came back she didn't even apologize and just started taking off my previous manicure. She (Lucy) then had me move to another chair across the room. She only really started giving me attention when I told her it was recommended I come there for a manicure. I thought maybe this would change things, but it didn't. She barely massaged my hands and literally just rubbed my back for two minutes without any sort of real massage. Let me start off with saying that the decorum of this place is great! Very nice feel when you walk in. My reason for 3stars is that to charge $25 for a fill is outrageous even if you provide a massage. Nice business tactic for sure but I can go without for a cheaper price. I just LOVE, LOVE LOVE Family Nails. I have proudly been a regular customer since 2002 ! The name of the establishment says it all... They really do treat you like family. I was there this afternoon, Sunday, and, yes, the salon was busy. I highly recommend making an appointment especially during summer months. I have had to wait 10-15 minutes at times even with an appointment, but it doesn't happen too often. Stacie has been doing my manicures and pedicures for roughly 9 or 10 years and they last for weeks. Prices are competitive to other nail salons in the area. Matter of fact, if I recall correctly, there has not been an increase in their prices ever! I pay $10 for a wonderful, long lasting manicure which includes an awesome neck/shoulder massage from Rosa. Of course a tip is greatly appreciated... I swear, she gives a better massage than the "massage" I had several months ago right down the road at Massage Envy . So, go to Family Nails and experience what I have been for over a decade, and counting!! I should also add, after every 10th manicure OR pedicure you get, you receive $10 off your next service! Horrible!!! Walked in and asked if they offered UV gel full sets. The woman, who I think was the owner, got offended after I asked how much and changed to a shellac manicure because it was way too expensive. She kept asking me where I have found it cheaper and gave me an attitude the whole time. I asked for a design for Halloween and the spiders looked like blobs. Not to mention the nail Polish started to peel not even a week after the manicure, it was supposed to be non-chip for two weeks!!!! Waste of $30 and worst experience ever!!!
