The team took car of my car and looked for very detailed damage of my Tesla. They are very detailed and looked and tore down the vehicle and outlined everything that needed to be replaced to bring the car back to its original Tesla certification. I would definitely get my car repaired here. The team is very responsive and knowledgeable, they don't give you the runaround like many I've visited in the past. *** Jan. 2019 - UPDATE *** After my initial online review Jerry (shop owner) contacted me to review my concerns and address my repair issues. I am satisfied with the result of this second round of service, although I think we may still disagree on the overall process, responsibility, customer/shop interaction and timeline of some of the events/issues that took place. Anyways, we settled on dropping my car off at UC to address the hood/fender alignment issues and then to have my original detailer (Greg @ Signature Detailing) re-wrap the full front end in PPF. UC did their part and then towed my car to my detailer where I made the swap a few days later. During this time I was provided a loaner car by UC at no cost which was very helpful. I agree that the paint and body work provided by UC was of a high quality. Knowing what I know now, I should have refused my initial delivery... it was my mistake to be eager to take my car home after a quick look (freezing outside) and assuming I could address the Tesla software errors/messages on my own which only dragged things out and required extra visits to both UC as well as Tesla Springfield. Jerry did admit that they should have had my guy do the wrap the first time, and are aware of the specialty nature and skill of PPF installs as well as customer expectations related to such work. read more

Came in here for a rear bumper replacement (someone gave me a nice "love tap" while car was parked on the side of the street). Awesome facility. It's huge, clean, and well maintained. The team at the front desk was nothing but professional and courteous. The estimator, Matt was awesome as well. Communication was seamless and easy. There is not bad thing to say about Ultimate Collision. They ordered my bumper the same day that I came in for an estimate. They told me that bumper will be in the shop in about a week, which it did as promised. Matt informed me that since they have the paint code and etc from my initial visit, I will not have to leave the car in their shop for extended period of time. They will paint it and when it's ready, they will call me to bring the car in for them to install the replacement bumper. Matt said since the bumper will be already painted, it shouldn't take more than a few hours for them to install it. Matt was the man of his words! I literally dropped the car off the night before. Another gentleman called me the next day and said that my car is basically ready. I still have a project car that is sitting in the garage. I am definitely looking forward for Ultimate Collision for a new paint job! After the work was complete, the bumper lines all matched up as intended. I strongly advise against using Ultimate Collision in Edison for Tesla repairs. Despite being a Tesla authorized repair shop, my experience was highly disappointing. After a tree fell on my car, causing over $20,000 in damages, the service was awful. Upon picking up the vehicle, a persistent grinding sound appeared, and despite attempts to diagnose it, the issue resurfaced. Additionally, they returned my car without a backseat seatbelts, posing a safety concern as well as no front heated seats. The windshield replacement was also flawed, with manufacturing tape left on, causing glare in sunny conditions. The numerous issues arising after their service led me to trade in my Tesla prematurely/early. The car was NEVER the same. Avoid this repair shop for Tesla vehicles; my overall experience was horrible!!j read more

The positive is that they do excellent work. They're a bit over priced, but so is every repair shop. The negative is that they're slow as molasses in doing their work. When my car was damaged, I had to wait three weeks just to bring my car to their shop, and it took them nearly a month to repair it. In the end we were left with $8,000 in repairs that insurance wouldn't cover. Ultimate Collision would not release the car to us until we paid the $8k, even though they were in the wrong. I have a 2012 Mercedes Benz E350 which was hit on the passenger side by an errant driver. The damage ran from the front door all the way to the rear bumper and wheel. I brought the vehicle in as it was and very dirty. After about two weeks, the vehicle was ready for pickup. The results are amazing. The vehicle was not only meticulously repaired, but also detailed and sterilized. It looked like it rolled off the showroom floor! I can't thank the team at UC enough for the great work! My insurance company gave me names of shops that repair Tesla, and I chose Ultimate Collision, which was my best decision. It took five weeks for me to get my car. The insurance agency refused to cooperate with Ultimate Collision, which halted all the work. In addition, the insurance company stopped paying for the rental. This was a significant problem since I had patients to treat. I went to Ultimate Collision out of desperation and met with Matt. He listened to my concern and started to plan strategies to return my car the following week. He was respectful and very helpful to me. My brand new Audi A5 Sportback was hit while parked and had damage to the front bumper, headlight, tire and rim, with some suspension pieces. I'm super crazy OCD with my cars and let them know I will notice if anything is a micrometer off and freak out. I'm one of those people who keeps their cars in pristine condition so this was a stressful experience. I have to say I was prepared for the worst, given my prior experiences with car repairs. When my car was repaired, I was pleasantly surprised. You could not tell there was ever damage to the vehicle. I spent 45 minutes with their quality inspection person walking around the car to make sure everything was perfect, and it was! I made sure only OEM parts were used on my new car and that the shop was Audi certified. I have to say that I trust them 100%. Shortly after my car was returned to me, my moms Lexus was fender bendered at a stop sign. I sent my mom here to repair her car and she was very happy as well. Hmmm it seem like they took down my review... well here it goes again: This place is a scam. I went for a quote of some scratches on my IS 250 that was caused by a hit and run. There was one tiny scratch on the door that was later on buffed out by another body shop for $200. Ultimate collision decided that it would cost me $1,200 to buff out the scratches. You would think they would just look at it and determined that the scratches weren't deep in enough to need repainting, but it took them 2 hours to look at my car and gave me a quote that was higher than my dealership. Don't go here it's a scam!!!! read more

I only chose 1 star because 0 stars is not an option! I brought my car here because I heard they are fast. I work and am in school so I did not want to be without a vehicle for a long time. I discussed this concern with ultimate collision before even bringing my car here. They assured me they work fast and efficiently. It is basically a new car - no issues - just needed body work. They took a week to even LOOK at my car. They had it for a MONTH AND A HALF. When I picked it up I discovered 3 new issues! New scratches on the car and 2 mysterious new sounds. Ultimate collision denied any responsibility for any of these issues. I cannot imagine how a reputable business can "fix" a car while also returning it to the owner with 3 new issues. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau because I would not wish this treatment on anyone else. Steer clear!!! read more

When my brand-new car got hit 2 days after purchasing it, I was beyond upset. Jerry helped me to see that it could easily be fixed and even spotted some prior fix that must have happened at the dealership. I was able to work with the dealer to get that fixed correctly also. Terrible customer service, quote almost doubled in price, although workmanship appears to be decent quality. We were originally told they would need the car for 3 days, but it they had it for 10. Brought the car in on a Wednesday (at their suggestion so I could have it by the weekend) being told it would be ready by Friday. On Friday, I call, they tell us it won't be ready until Tuesday (WHAT?), on Monday they call me to say it won't be ready until the following Friday. They leave on Friday without finishing my car, and without calling us to tell us it wasn't ready. The cost of the repairs almost doubled in price - had they communicated this with us early on, perhaps experience would have been different. The lack of communication led to major dissatisfaction & definitely impacted our trust in this company. read more

Came in on a recommendation from a friend who works at a dealership. I was really very annoyed at the dealership I had gone to previously as they had overcharged me for a poor job where the paint was actually starting to discolor. While out of the way, my friend at the dealership told me to just try his friend waaaaayyyy out in Jersey instead. Thankfully they squeezed me in and took a look at my car. From nose to tail, the inspector went over every aspect of my car and pointed out things that I would not have been able to see otherwise (the original texture of the pain, the wear in certain areas, fading paint, small marks where they repaired the damage that had to be redone, etc.). He also brought out a meter that can tell you the thickness of the paint should you ever need to know if something was done correctly or was actually stripped to remove scratches and tested the entire car with me. In the end, he also gave me a super detailed report on what was going to be done, each and every individual cost, and just asked me to consider using their shop. Usually when someone goes through all this, they definitely expect that it's a done deal, but the manager made sure to let me know that it's my choice if I wanted to use their shop. It was no surprise that I ended up going with their shop for repairs, however. They also have rental cars available for you while your car is in the shop. 5 stars for a fantastic repair, a detailed explanation about everything they planned on doing and what had gone wrong in a previous repair, and wonderful concierge service in getting me a rental car to use while my car was in the shop. read more

Worked with Matt and they did a solid job on my Audi S5. It had front end damage, but you can barely tell it was ever in an accident. They are expensive however. Ok if you're going through insurance but will cost you if paying out of pocket. And they do take their time, which I get, but it becomes hard to tell when the car will be ready. You also do have to call them once a week for updates as they don't usually reach out. But they do respond pretty quickly when you call them. I'm sure they can cut back on some of this back and forth through an online status update system. read more

Went there for an estimate on a Tesla model 3 met with Art I think, he saw the car and verbally told me the estimate but would not give me a written estimate unless I left a deposit. This is after I called them and made an apt and had to drive an hour . They seem to think they are the only shop for Tesla in NJ! read more

bad bad bad, manipulative, misleading, unreliable and un-trustworthy!! \ When i was still deciding on which body shop to go to, they cajoled me into using their service and they promised that i will get my car back in a little over a week. So I decided to leave my car there. Once I dropped my car off, then they said it will take 2 weeks (after the Memorial's long weekend), and I should be able to get it on Tue. (which was annoying because then I couldn't use my car for the long weekend). When that day approached, then they said they need another couple of days (nothing I can do even though I was already very much annoyed by the constant pushing back, I could only pretend to be nice and patient, who knows what they'll do to my car if I showed them my frustration) So I called on Wed. to confirm my pick up, they said it's not done yet, they need another day and that I should call back on Thur. to check up on it. So i called on Thur. then they said it should be ready by Friday. I called Friday morning, they said it may be ready end of Friday, and they will have someone call me in the afternoon. Of course no one called, so I decided to just go there and get my car back. I had to leave work early so I could pick up my car before they close (which is at 5:30), i retunred my rental car and went through all the paper work etc. but when i got to the body shop (with all of my bags transferred from the rental car), they had a different (3rd) guy coming out and telling me that the car is not ready yet, and they called the car rental company to come get me again. So after all the troubles of taking off work early, returning my rental car, transferring all the bags, getting to the body shop, i was sent back to the rental car agency. I haven't gotten my car back yet (who knows when that will be), so I don't even know if the quality of repairment is any good. I have been in the automotive industry for close to 30 years. I have never met a group more passionate individuals. On a daily basis they constantly try to raise the bar. When I bought my 10 year old Saab 9 3 Convertible yesterday in for an estimate on my rear bumper. Jerry came out of his office and looked over my entire car personally. He recommended dropping both bumpers, spraying them, sanding them, repairing dings, removing scratches towards the nose, doing paint correction, even down to replacing the badging! - All at a cost that was 100.00 more than what I was quoted to do a "tape job" on just my back bumper! Brought my car here because I saw all the high end vehicles they work on...Work done on my car was horrible, brought it back, even the second go around it was still horrible...obvious coat drips, can see sand marks under the clear coat. Not bringing it back a third time, not work the aggravation. Better off to go elsewhere ,sure they will be a lot cheaper too. read more
