Before I went to Gattshall Firestone always worked on my Nissan until I started having transmission…read moreproblems,Brad the head mechanic recommended me to Gattshalls so I contacted (George) the owner he agreed so I had it towed to his shop. First (he started the car and backed it) into his garage and promise to check it over a few days later called and explained the problem however needed to order parts he kepted changing the total price then mentioned he does not accepted credit cards or checks.A few days later he called saying saying the parts are installed but my car will not start up he suggested my car be towed to Jackson Nissan after one week they could not fix the problem. I suggested Firstone worked on it unfortunately was unfixable. To make a long story short I paid Gattshalls over 1800 dollars and he ripped me off PLEASE DO NOT GO TO GATTSHALLS IS A SHADY BUSINESS MAN I believe he lies covers up for his lazy mechanics

Got my explorer back a month ago, had major issues from the start after i paid the 3000.00 bill i…read morehopped in my suv and was missfireing bad then he tells me i should have a qualified tech look at it, i was pissed off at that moment so i left to have a qualified tech look at it and my 4wd light was flashing it was by no means drivable by the time i got to work the next morning would not go over 30mph courtesy in tucansha mi fixed my issue for 250.00 it was the o2 sensor plugs were reversed so now it running ok not really sure how they test drove my car to verify that the transmission was good. I called them to bring it in for the 4x4 light that was not on prier to transmission repair they had it for 4 more days and i called them they advised me they were tapping on the ground wire and it fix the issue. I literally drove out of the bay and it started flashing again as of now my transfer case heat shield is broke there was a green wire cut and clean copper exposed it a senor wire that goes in transfer case. also well i was under my car looking i could hear a significant exhaust leak so i notice when they pulled the driver side exhaust out they broke the oem bolt and drove in a 4 inch bolt and the spring is missing the other bolt is hanging there. As for the transmission thats ok but the installation or removal process is disgusting the now there is a oil leak between the transmission and engine most likely the rear main seal was not there prier to trans repairs as i have done oil changes on my own vehicle for over 10 years and in under there every 3 months. I have had 3 transmission replacement in my life twice at amco transmission for just over 2000.00 for similar vehicles they even cleaned and painted the transmission gold at amco and gattshall honestly they did not even clean the fluid up they spilled all over the other suspension parts i even doubt the pan will last a year with the rust on it. I would have paid for a new one if they called me to tell me i needed one. I will also be calling the dealership to see if they did not just swap the transmission and transfer case, if so they will be hearing from our family lawyer. So now my 4wd light flashing 10x still and in taking it this weekend to spend more to fix the exhaust leak on driver side. I had this car since new and i know every thing thats been replaced or worked on these were specifically from removal prosess.

I was very understanding and waited patiently for my truck to be repaired. Recently my transmission started slipping again and I brought it back to your shop. The fluid was changed and I was told an adjustment was made. I was told it was shifting normal again. It did not even make it 10 miles before the problem started again. The transmission was out of warranty as they offer 12 month 12,000 mile warranty but I would expect a rebuild to last more than 19,000 miles. I am retired and it is my daily driver. I do not tow or plow with this truck and it is definitely not abused in any way. I am very disappointed I only got 19,000 miles out of a $3000 rebuild and had to pay the expense of having it towed back tour facility twice within 2 months of you fixing it.

During that time my fuel sensor was damaged causing my dash unable to read how much gas I had. Not only did they claim not to know how to fix, but they REFUSED to pay for the damage that happened while my vehicle was in their care. It cost me $500 EXTRA dollars to fix the mistake at a different location.come here at your own risk.

I called Tamrox 10 minutes before they closed on a Friday and they quickly arranged to help me, and also allowed me to use one of their loaner cars immediately and at no extra charge. Within just a business day or two the problem was fixed and I was on my way. The people were extremely friendly and down to earth, and the service was quick. I'll definitely be coming back here and recommending Tamrox to everyone I know. They really saved me when I was in a tight spot and I am grateful.

Took our vehicle in for a lack of acceleration and a check engine light. The only reason we took…read moreour vehicle in to Tamrox was because they offered a loaner vehicle. Otherwise we would've went to our regular trusted mechanic. They did a full inspection and we were told everything they found wrong with our vehicle. Then they discussed cost to repair said items. We were told changing the 3 coil packs on the back of the engine, and new spark plugs would fix the acceleration issue, they never made any mention that there may be a possibility that this wouldn't fix the issue. Which of course was the case, as the problem still exists today. For $3500 they replaced a rear wheel bearing, 3 coil packs and plugs, and a rear knuckle assembly. The very same day we got the vehicle back the rear wheel was squeaking horribly loud. Well apparently they put our brakes back together wrong so we had to go back and have that redone. Then they checked to see why the check engine light came back on and why it was still lacking acceleration. We were then told it would be another $3500 to replace the catalytic converter and 2 of 4 O2 sensors. Mind you the vehicle is a 2014 Explorer with over 200k miles on it. Had we known the first $3500 might not fix our issue, and we might have to spend another $3500 and it still might not be fixed. We surely would've sold the car as is to a mechanic, or scrapped it. In good condition the vehicle is only worth $6-7k. For comparison sake I asked my regular trusted mechanic what they would've charged for what was done, and it was substantially less. So much so that we could've just got a rental car and still would've had money left over, and I guarantee they would've properly diagnosed the vehicle and fixed it right the first time. You live and you learn, take it from me you don't want to go here, they like to throw parts at the problem, and they don't properly communicate that their idea for a "fix" might not be correct one. Aside from that they are ridiculously over priced compared to their competitors.
