Very Disappointed - Be Cautious with Ultimate Auto Repair in Jackson, MI…read more I'm extremely unhappy with the service I received from Ultimate Auto Repair in Jackson, MI. I brought my SUV in for repairs, and the whole experience was frustrating from start to finish. First of all, they kept my vehicle for an entire month, which is way too long for the type of repairs that were supposed to be done. During that time, communication was very poor. I had to constantly reach out just to get updates, and I was often left in the dark about what was going on with my car. They also made me feel pressured into approving repairs that I wasn't fully sure about. While my warranty covered some (or most) of the cost, it still felt like I was being pushed to spend more money than necessary. It didn't feel like they were working in my best interest--more like they were trying to get as much money out of the situation as possible. When I finally got my SUV back after a month, I immediately noticed that a personal item I always keep in the car was missing. I know for a fact it was there when I dropped it off. It's incredibly disappointing to feel like you can't even trust the place you're paying a lot of money to. I spent a lot--a lot--on this repair, and to be treated like this just doesn't feel fair. I usually try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. I can't recommend this shop to anyone, and I suggest looking elsewhere if you want honest, timely, and respectful service.

I felt that the manager was professional and is going to take action to ensure that this does not happen to other clients.*** I took my truck into After Hours Auto Repair shop for an estimate and diagnostics.... I notice I am out of gas.. I just put almost a full tank of gas in the day before and only went 130 miles; I had reset my mileage. Now it reads 251!!! They put over 100 miles on my truck!!! I have taken my truck to After Hours Auto Repair a few times. I have been pleased with their work. I have recommended them to many friends and family. I dropped off my truck on Monday evening about 5ish. They asked if they could give me a call in the morning with their dianostic report. No problem. I get a call with the report in the morning as promised. I decide I need to wait on my repairs as it was more money and damage than I had anticipate. The passenger wheel was crocked, axle assembly, alignment was way off. etc all damaged. I start my truck and the Low fuel light is on. I had just put 3/4 of a tank of gas on Sunday evening and had reset my miles at the gas station. I drove 127 miles when I dropped it off to After Hours. My mileage was now 251 miles! I spoke with the mechanic. He drove it home to Battlecreek. I was aware a test drive was needed, BUT that my vehicle would be driven in that condition for the use of the mechanic, WITHOUT my knowledge or permission is simply UNACCEPTABLE. He is happy to take responsibility for it and reimburse me $30.00 in gas. He was very polite, but says they do this TYPE OF THING ALL THE TIME AND CUSTOMERS ARE AWARE OF IT. I was not handed a disclosure form or anything of the sort. Nor is this information posted in their establishment that I could readily see. Check your mileage and make sure you have no valuables as my GPS unit was found in the backseat, my console items strewn about my front seat, my water bottle spilt all over the passenger floorboard.... No idea how that happened.. They were great about looking into the matter, offering to review the tapes and polite. Too bad they didn't respect my property.

Thought they would be able to give me an overall inspection and take care of what service was needed knowing there were some things to be done. There was a wiring issue, they assured me they could deal with that. I told them I would be driving it to Florida in the winter, so I needed it to be ready to go. I specifically asked them to make sure the transmission fluid and servicing was good. So, I picked up the motorhome drove it back home to Bay City. I knew it would be needing tires. I discovered that the repair facility let me roll out of there with 50 lb when there should have been a hundred and five pounds of air pressure. You know what happens when there's a bad tire issue on a motorhome? It's not pretty! Then, on the trip down to Florida, there was a mysterious transmission issue. Seemed to resolve itself. Now, I'm driving back from Florida, and transmission issue reappeared yesterday driving through Knoxville, about halfway. Overheating, and error codes. Got into the Allison automatic repair facility. Transmission needs complete servicing, NEVER SERVICED SINCE NEW, and there's an issue with a speed sensor. So, Courtesy truck repair charged me about $1,300 for an oil change, and a cobbled electrical repair, that's probably going to need attention in the future. Based on my experience, AVOID THIS PLACE!
