Ceaser was 40min late to my 11am appointment I had made 2 days earlier (he was late for personal…read morereasons), he also cut my 1 hour appointment down to a half hour and he helped 4 other women while I was sitting in the chair because he was the only one there due to staffing issues. Shame on Bloomingdales for not being better prepared for the possibility of staff being out - I made an appointment - at the very least I should have been called and told that not only would 1 staff member be out another had an emergency and also couldn't be there. Also, there is also no excuse not to at least tell me there would be several interruptions, I would have rescheduled. The one star is for Ceaser who at least was pleasant and nice enough. The low star review is for how horrible the situation was - I felt rushed and repeatedly interrupted, the experience was terrible. There are so many brands out there to try, I would not recommend Mac, the product is just ok... I have read other reviews for Bloomingdales & Macy's locations and this is not the first time a customer has been treated like this. Shame on Bloomingdale's ...I waited for 20min because one of the employees gave me misinformation that he was just running late - to only come back to me a second time and say he was going to be another half hour but there is no guarantee!!!??? So I left and he called me to come back after 40min! Seems like these appointments are just possibilities- maybe they will show up? Maybe help you uninterrupted, maybe not??? Never again, terrible lesson learned.

Even though Christmas was only a week away, the store wasn't busy and so it was the ideal time for Sam ( the lovely associate who helped me) and I to be intentional about the items I was choosing. I expressed the purpose of the purchase and gave her some insight into each of the recipients and shared how I wanted to choose shades with names that matched their temperaments or roles. For an one educator whose son is both autistic and has Down syndrome we chose Heroine - a beautiful shade of purple, her favorite color. For another whose tech obsessed we chose a deep shade of purple called Cyber. For another who has a big personality we chose " Flat out fabulous" and another who always leave work late we chose " werk werk werk". Sam, thank you for taking the time to reply lean into what I needed and for being so patient while we found the ideal gifts. Your expertise is valued and your kindness made a difference. For the first time today we actually found someone real nice, her name is Shirley, very helpful, knowledgable and is the only one that know what she is doing!! Great makeup artist! Shirley really should be the manager in this store, super nice girl made us feel very welcome in the store and happy - we had a great time. And the manager I don't know what's up with her, always with an angry face - rude - she is ridiculous! Will be back to see Shirley anytime! :D

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt it should be…read moreshared. I initially reached out to speak with the manager/owner regarding an issue my mother experienced while scheduling an appointment. I was told by Nicole that the owner, Sheryl was finishing with a client and would call me back around 3:00 PM. That call never came. I followed up at 4:00 PM and was then told the owner had already left for the day but would call me once she got home. Again, no call was received. The original concern was regarding my mother's appointment. As a Mother's Day gift, I purchased her a Groupon for highlights so she could treat herself and enjoy the experience. She successfully booked an appointment for next Saturday at 11:00 AM and later received a call at 5:53 PM that same day asking whether she would be paying full price or using Groupon. Once she confirmed it was a Groupon appointment, the tone of the conversation noticeably changed and she was told she would now need to wait an additional 2-3 weeks because that stylist "doesn't take Groupons." We were then told this policy is outlined in Groupon fine print and that Groupon appointments must be scheduled weeks out. However, I reviewed the Groupon details thoroughly and could not find any language stating that only certain stylists accept Groupon appointments or that there is a required waiting period. My concern isn't simply availability, it's the inconsistency and lack of transparency. If restrictions exist for Groupon customers, they should be clearly disclosed before appointments are booked, not after confirmation. It was disappointing that something purchased as a Mother's Day gift ended up becoming stressful and left us feeling like the appointment became an issue only once the payment method was disclosed. I was hoping to resolve this directly before leaving a review, but after multiple promises of a callback that never happened, I felt it was important to share our experience.

But at my recent visit, I left feeling unheard as a customer. I felt pressure to get extensions on all nails, but compromised on just my thumb because the edge had a little breakage, even though I specifically said I didn't want extensions, so I gave in -- as I have with other things in the past. The result looked noticeably different from my other thumb (so thick and wide), yet she insisted it was due to my nail bed. When she eventually removed the extension, both thumbs looked the same. I know this was not an issue with my nails, but rather the application even though she would not back down. She also burned me multiple times during the appointment, and despite me expressing the pain I was in, there was no reaction or apology -- as if I was expected to just tolerate it. After all this time, it's disappointing to leave unhappy with both the experience and the end result.

I purchased a keratin treatment coupon from Groupon for this spa based on its high ratings there…read more Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not checking Google reviews and trusted Groupon blindly. I have had keratin treatments multiple times, so I know how they should be done. My Groupon coupon was for $101, but the spa asked me to pay an additional $75, which I did. Surprisingly, they completed the treatment in just 30 minutes when a proper keratin treatment usually takes at least 2-3 hours. Still, I trusted their process. The real disappointment came after the first wash, 48 hours later my keratin completely washed out, and my hair returned to its original state. When I went back to the spa to address the issue, they refused to even check my hair and told me to contact Groupon instead. When I insisted that they were responsible for the poor treatment and requested a refund, they started bullying me, behaved in a racist manner, and told me to leave their property. This place is not only scamming people with fake treatments but also racist. Beware! I am not gonna trust any Groupon reviews blindly from now on
