Now, about this particular location: it does look a little different from other SkinSpirit offices I've been to, and I learned that's because it wasn't originally built for SkinSpirit. It was a pre-existing space remodeled for their use, which slightly affects the visual branding. It's still clean and upscale--just styled a bit differently. The quality of care, however, is exactly what I expect from SkinSpirit: top-notch. I want to give a special shoutout to Roxette, my practitioner. She was so patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all my questions with thorough detail and made me feel completely cared for. That's exactly why I drove over an hour from Shirley, NY--because I knew I'd be in good hands here. I recently moved to the area and was thrilled to find a nearby location. SkinSpirit's consistency from state to state gives me peace of mind that I'll receive the same products and standards wherever I go. Unfortunately, there's no SkinSpirit in Hawaii (yet!), which is the only reason I haven't signed up for a full membership. SkinSpirit, if you're reading this--please open a location on O'ahu! There are so many treatments I haven't tried yet. Every time I visit, I see people in robes with facial masks, hair pulled back--it's clearly a full-service experience. Their website is super user-friendly too. Booking appointments online is quick and convenient. You can log in, choose your practitioner (or let the system pick one based on availability), and confirm your spot in minutes. They'll send you appointment reminders that sync with your phone calendar, which I love. One small note: there is a $75 fee for last-minute cancellations, which is understandable. As long as you cancel at least 24-48 hours in advance by phone or email, you won't be charged. I've had to reschedule before and it was no problem. This location is inside a larger building with a prominent SkinSpirit sign outside. Just go in the main doors, head up the stairs, and the office is the first door on your left--it's easy to find. During my search, I was intentional about finding either a Black-owned establishment or, at minimum, a Black wax specialist. Unfortunately, my search in Suffolk County was coming up short. I turned to Facebook's Black Long Island group, but many of the businesses I found seemed to no longer be active due to the lack of recent posts. Then Prestige Beauty Lounge appeared again. This time, I decided to take a closer look, and I'm so glad I did. The business checked several important boxes for me: it was conveniently located, Black-owned, offered services from a Black wax specialist, and had a wide range of availability. Their pricing was also comparable--and even slightly better--than what I typically pay. When I called, I was shocked by how quickly they could accommodate me for both an underarm wax and a Brazilian. "25?! I'm sorry, did I hear you correctly? How is that possible?" was my actual response to the person who answered the phone. I later learned that the specialist had previously worked at European Wax Center, where she received training that helped her provide efficient and thorough services. At this point, Prestige Beauty Lounge was already earning major points in my book--but the experience only got better. On the day of my appointment, I was greeted by Arriannah, who shared that she was part of a mother-daughter team. During my service, we talked about my waxing history, her own experiences in the industry, and the values we both shared. She also took the time to educate me about proper aftercare. Before I knew it, my service was complete. Days later, I'm still extremely satisfied with my results. I appreciate the professionalism, efficiency, and personal connection I experienced.
