Ulta Beauty can be overwhelming because there are so many options and if you don't know what certain products are it can be hard to make choice, but the staff there are very helpful! The store is well organized and clean. My most recent purchase is the nose pore patches. Fingers crossed I get the results I'm hoping for. read more

I went to the salon for help with a butchered haircut. It wasn't my day because the stylist (name unknown but she has shorter blonde hair with mini bangs and is a little older) she just topped off the shit show that already existed. I was frank, fix layers in the back, no layering in the front, and no face frame. She appeared to understand but did exactly the opposite. Then had the AUDACITY to ask if I liked it. Don't even get me started on her character. She's got the moral fiber of a venomous snake. She actually said, out loud, that she knew her neighbors children were being abused, that one sought her for refuge, but she was "too afraid to call because she was worried about retaliation". As a child welfare worker, I expressed that it could be anonymous. Back to the point, she seemed to be under the influence of something, does not listen, and sucks as a human being. What I appreciate most is that she truly listens to what you want and takes the time to make sure you leave happy. I'm traveling in Phoenix and looking for an Ulta to replace a melted eyeliner pencil. All of the stores in Phoenix have terrible reviews about dirty stores, unstocked shelves and unfriendly staff. I'm driving across country and forgot a couple things from CA, so my daughter and I ran into this Ulta to pick a few things up. How REFRESHING it is to walk in to a clean, FULLY STOCKED Ulta store. The employees and manager are so friendly! The manager (whose name I forgot, but I think its Kia or something similar) gave me some free samples that were leftovers! The Ulta in Bakersfield, CA never, EVER does this - and they should for the ridiculous long lines. Thanks ladies!!!! read more

Last time I went in nothing I went in for specifically was in stock. But it's ulta and I found stuff to buy. 3 workers were too busy chit chatting by the door help me find my color for foundation. My arms were full going to get a shopping bag, I guess dropping half of my items on the floor finally got their attention and one of them came to check on me, but didn't bother helping me pick it up. This type of customer service is consistent in this store. I'd like to say I wouldn't go back but the other option is driving to the city. read more

I have never been to Ulta before so I was a little overwhelmed by the size and selection. The Clinique representative working was so helpful. I told him my skin concerns and pointed me in the direction of products that would help me. He demonstrated products and sent me away with samples. The staff in this store seem to treat older people as we don't belong shopping in their store. They are not willing to walk through the store and help us find items, not trained in the products they sell and the atmosphere is horrible. The employees need to stop acting so snooty and be willing to give some descent customer service. Manners are free folks~ try using them. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! Initially, the sales clerk refused to assist me with a $70.00 dollar beauty product; I waited in line unreasonably long time to check out, only for cashier to tell me some products were expired and unable to sell them. I brought these events to corp. management's attention. To add to my disappointment the Shawnee store manager, called me to on the phone (I thought to resolve complaint), however she argued and contradicted all issues at hand and boasted ULTA being the top beauty retailer in the nation (appeared to be young, perhaps a high-schooler). Few days later I received a $15.00 gift card to shut me up, which will not buy much of anything! APPARENTLY THEY ARE OVERCONFIDENT / ARROGANT OF THEIR SUCCESS AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Newsflash: I can purchase everything ULTA carries from Amazon at a much lower price or Target and be treated much better! read more
