The manager was having a conversation with an associate about their card goals and not meeting them at the front door. This prevented the associate from greeting several incoming customers and was off-putting as a customer already browsing the store. This was clearly a conversation to have in the office or quietly and discreetly on the floor if you can't step away. I would love to see a store where an associate looks happy or at least comfortable. I would also love to see all associates be knowledgeable in all areas and not have the customer able to speak to a products location better than an employee. read more

It depends on the location. The one located in Lewisville on 121 is awesome. The young ladies whom work here always greet me and ask if they can assist. The one I went to this time was in Preston Square in Plano not only did they not assist or greet me the employees were having a long conversation about their weekend plans and totally ignored me. read more

I visited here for my birthday 7/5 I had a really great experience. All the staff greeted me and my family and assisted the best way possible. I even found all my new skincare products a brand called "Peach & Lilly". I can't remember the two sweet women who gave me so many compliments on my skin and how well I looked for being pregnant and having 8 children. It was so sweet.. I came in asking for a trim, but unfortunately, a lot more hair was taken off than I expected. While my hair was definitely overdue for a cut, it didn't need quite as much taken off, and the end result feels much more drastic than I was hoping for. Probably the cleanest and friendliest Ulta location i've ever visited. Initially I placed a pickup order and decided to walk inside instead of using the curbside service. I would say they were amply stocked like any other location but here everyone who passed me spoke and offered help - just an overall nice feel. This Alta beauty store is great! I went in looking for some help and I make up and got the best service possible and great products to go with it. The lady that helped me was wonderful and she introduced me to Roller Lash mascara, and clinic eyeliner. I had my eyelashes done for years, but then finally decided I was finished with that. I grew them out and with the new Roller Lash mascara they look great! I never would've found it without her help. I absolutely love this Ulta Beauty location, and I can tell you that the service I got for that mascara was not one off. My grandfather and I did not have a pleasant experience getting our pickup order. Two of the associates (possible manager) were extremely rude to my grandfather and myself. Went in looking for a specific fragrance did not see it and asked an associate and she went and found it for me. She then offered some other great products. At checkout the associate Hassimi I believe was her name - was Great signed us up for rewards and saves us 29 dollars and then also gave us some free samples. Giving this location three stars because I like Ulta..... Shop the chain all the time, but today when I went to this location and was looking for assistance, I felt like I was being ignored. Several employees walked past me without speaking or asking if I needed help. I had to go to the front for assistance. Then when I did all the other customers suddenly needed help too, and she was trying to help them after I went to grab her! Just ridiculous! I just have to rave about Remi and Rebecca for helping me out in the Mac area more than once! Remi has been spot on with helping me find new colors that go well with my complexion and that are different than what I have normally worn in the past. She listens to me, understands what I'm looking for and gives me honest feedback. I'm not great at make up and she is so patient. This past weekend I went in and Remi wasn't working, but I met Rebecca and she was also awesome! I wanted to find lipsticks to match a new eye shadow pallets I had recently received and she went out of her way to help me. She marked up her arm with the eye shadow and one by one we worked to find the perfect lipsticks. Like I said before, I'm not great at make up. These ladies have really helped improve my look. I don't leave the house without makeup, but what a difference it makes to leave with the RIGHT colors. Customer service is lacking and they were completely unhelpful and wasted my time. I guess I don't expect much from ultra anymore.

If I could give them a zero, I sure would. The customer service stinks to the extreeme. This is the worst store ever. I came in first of all to return an item with no makeup on, and asked for help finding a good product and if they had any samples. I was told that they are afraid to show me anything for fear of ruining my skin. Come on, this is suppose to be a store for skin LOL. I just did not wear makeup that day when I came in. Beth was to help me with foundation, but she was off the day I came in. I brought a sample of my custom blend with me. Rebecca was not able find to match me. I had to teach her that it is all on the base formula. Sunday once again the beauty event was extended. I came in and that same girl who told me that she did not wish to show me products for fear of ruining my skin said it again. Her name started I believe with a J. I am hard of hearing and when someone is mumbling, I cannot hear them. I asked for help. I asked for someone I could hear. I left ready to scream. I walked up to Rebecca for help and she was very nasty to me and told me to call customer service if I need to because she was booked all day. I told her to find someone who could help me and who I could please hear and who would not mumble. What a total nightmare and that is saying it very lightly. I went over to Trader Joe and several people told me that they too that the customer service stinks. It is so sad because they sometimes do have good sales. Get ready for total rudeness to the extreeme. This is what they hire. If you call you are put on hold for over 20 minutes. It is sick. read more

Just spent $650 on the Dyson Airwrap and my cashier could not have been more rude. She did not have a name tag but she was kindly helping out a customer next to me and everytime she spoke to me her demeanor would change and she was incredibly rude. Made a spur of the moment appointment for a haircut with their online booking which was really convenient. I didn't select a specific stylist, so I was booked with Jonelle...and it turned out to be the best cut I've ever had. She was kind and truly listened to me and made great suggestions. And my god can she cut hair. She completely revamped my long layers into everything I've always wanted. And her blowout was flipping incredible. I just cannot say enough to express how happy and grateful I am, not to mention that this all cost me less than half of what I'm used to paying for a cut. And as a side note, Jonelle is the salon manager, so I was privy to learning about their salon through her conversations with the other staff. Let me tell you, this salon places a great deal of importance on the continued training and education of their stylists. It may not be a freestanding, independent salon, but it is absolutely legit. read more

Lily should do her job and not getting into other people's life that have nothing to do with Lily. Do not get your hair colored here. I went to get a highlight / low light combo. The first person that did my hair made my roots reddish orange and the bottom blonde/ brown. She really tried to fix it. I spent about 7 hours total in the salon to walk out with my wacky red roots and normal hair on the bottom. I went back to a second stylist. He swore he could do a color correction, he gave me a discount, $150 for color only (no cut). This is in addition to paying for the first discounted highlight session. I walked out less red and after a month of washes I'm back to wacky red roots. I don't know what they did it it's not pretty. Highly recommend you shop for product and don't trust them with your hair!!! Beware. I'm not going to even mention the blame the manager tried to say was my fault. Not worth my time. Oh my my, Ulta Beauty is really giving Sephora some great competition. I haven't been in an Ulta Beauty in sometime and my friend wanted me to meet her there. Can you believe this location carries Nars Cosmetics and Mac now??? Crazy right? I believe they had several other brands but I was too shocked at the selection plus the place was completely clean. There were several cosmetic representatives there to help with your selection or you could just look without being bothered. Not only does Ulta have the drugstore beauty items I use but now they carry the luxury products I use to. I prefer ulta beauty over Sephora....especially when they have their sales and their coupons. when I need to go on my lunch break though, this is the location I prefer to go to - the next closest location is near beltline and the tollway. the lunch time traffic in that area is insane. This location is much less crowded and has plenty of parking space. They always have the item that i'm looking for, even if it's one of the specialty sale items that's for one day only. aisles and shelves are always clean and well stocked and sales associates are friendly and helpful. read more

Cashier lied to my face. I went to make a return for my wife and the cashier said she needed my full address, email, phone number, etc just to process the return (keep in mind I had the receipt). Came home to find out that I have been signed up for a rewards account and am having the hardest time both unsubscribing from emails (already did it - still get them daily!) and deleting the account. But, if you are expecting to get any advice or help go some where else. Majority of the staff in this store are to busy socializing with one another to even answer your questions. 1. They rarely great the customer 2. They don't check on you, when you do hunt someone down to get some help or ask a question they act like your bugging them, as soon as they feel they have answered your question they turn around and run away. In the early stages of my professional career I ran a retail store- I would be horrified if my team was this bad at client relations.
