Sydney was working the front and was very helpful in suggesting what procedures to consider in getting the results that I wanted. Ultimately, we agreed that a lip flip was exactly what I was looking for. Julia was my medical injector and she was amazing. So knowledgeable and helpful, thoroughly walked me through the process and what to expect during recovery, how long the injections are expected last, etc. I was interested in a natural look but asked if I should consider injections on my bottom lip for more projection. However, considering the look I wanted to achieve, she recommended I stick with injections to just my top lip. The procedure was nothing more than a few pin-pricks; albeit, I do have a high pain tolerance. I am beyond thrilled with the results and cannot wait to come back for more. Just go, thank me later!

Not to mention the horrible wait time and disorganization. I had been a loyal customer since they were originally in Mercy Hospital. Once they moved from Mercy, they opened an office on Coral Way. Loved their service, staff and ambience in that office. Coral way location is absolutely stellar. They kept their excellence. However, they went on to open another location, which is the South Miami location. I decided to switch locations to their South Miami since it was closer to home. What a mistake. What a disappointment. Most recently, I had to contact the office manager at the South Miami location, her name is Greta. She still has not called me back or emailed me back. You would think that during these unprecedented times, they would be taking precautions and following CDC guidelines with their customers and staff. Not the case in this office. My appointment was at 2:20 PM on September 4th, and it was 3:10 PM and I still wasn't seen. I was still waiting in that waiting room while people kept coming in and out, one after the other, and the technician was still unavailable to see me. Horrible experience. We make appointments for a reason!!!!!! It's understandable having to wait 10, 15 minutes, maybe even 30 minutes, but 50 minutes????? Come on. More exposure for me to have gotten Covid-19!!! Never going back there again. They lost my business of over 5 years. I would however, try their coral way location.

The place was a bit junky as described by others. In order to garner attention, as the gate was locked and there was no way to ring any type of doorbell-I knocked on the tin mailbox to see if anyone would hear...it wasn't attached to anything; surprisingly it just fell down!!!! Stayed there for almost 30 min after yelling and calling simultaneously to see if anyone would come. Finally went home defeated. She started harassing me at 2:45pm. At first she said I thought our appt was at 3. Sent her a text of the agreed 2pM time. Then she said she had it written for 2:30pm. I was still outside her spot at that time. Like a fool. Regardless she didn't apologize at all. She told me she didn't want to be yelled at and hung up on me after I spoke one sentence in a normal volume. She made herself the VICTIM. But I got my deposit back! Then hours later she sends a text saying she has me on video destroying her mailbox. Knocked on it and it fell as it was just sitting on concrete breaks. Didn't knock on it hard enough to even hurt my hand. Wasn't even mad at the moment it occurred. Says she's going to file a police report. Why would I hang around all that time later if I truly believe I've destroyed a mailbox. I blocked her and told her do whatever you want. Then she used another phone to text me more. I already did a google review with my first and last name. And I booked an appt as myself. But she texted me my full name and wrote "I've filed a police report" Stay away. This woman couldn't even just say sorry for no call and no showing me. She had to be the one something bad happened to. She ruined my entire day on purpose after I wrote the first review. So here's my second. Avoid this woman at all costs.

Imagine my shop when my never aging wife tells me that not only do THEY use Botox but she has been doing it for years and also get juvederm for lip injections. After fighting the shock and making a mental note to start checking the bank account on a regular basis, I was more curious then ever. Next thing you know, we're at a salon in downtown and were speaking to a doctor. I'm the type of husband that once the wife says to do it, I do it. So I signed some forms and got a couple needle pricks. The doc that did assured me that I would still look natural and not resemble the housewives of anything. So, couple days pass and I don't see any changes. Patience is not my virtue and I'm sure many can relate to the frustration of not having what you paid for, but to keep the Mrs. Happy, I keep my mouth shut and decided to just let it go. The next day, it kicked in and I couldn't move my forehead or make those lines around my eyes. It has now been almost 5 months since I had it done and I can still see the effect and I'm going to continue doing it. Heck, I might even try some laser hair removal one of these days. Even though I am happy with the outcome of the Botox, my review is to applaud Avalon Medical Spa on their customer service. About a week after the appointment, Julia called to follow up and see if I had any questions or concerns. And just yesterday I received another call. She said she knew I lived out of town and couldn't come in again, but offered to take some time to find a good doctor in my area and send him my treatment records to make sure i received the same results and thank me again for coming in. Anyway, owning my own company, I know that little things like that go a long way so I wanted to share my experience with the rest of Yelp.
