I have an AirTouch technique in my hair, and since the salon does not offer AirTouch services, I wanted to confirm in advance that we could achieve a similar look using balayage or highlights. I was assured we could proceed. At the appointment, I waited a bit (which I understand happens in Miami). Once seated, the stylist examined my hair carefully and suggested doing a half head of highlights first to see how my fine, chemically damaged hair would react. I appreciated the caution and explained my previous negative experience with another stylist. When I left the salon, I was happy. The result wasn't identical to my inspiration photos, but I felt good about it. However, after washing my hair once, I noticed obvious orange foil spots and poorly blended areas near my ears. I immediately contacted the salon, and to their credit, they accommodated me the next day for a correction. Unfortunately, the solution offered was to darken my roots to cover the orange spots. This left me questioning why I paid $450 to lighten my roots, only to have them darkened again. Now, just a little over two weeks later, my hair already looks grown out because of the darker roots. For the price point and reputation of this salon, I expected better execution and a longer-lasting result. I truly wanted to love the experience, but overall, I'm very disappointed.

I'm deeply disappointed in the way Ulta handles their employees. Firing someone with no proper notice and escorting them out within two hours is not just unprofessional--it's dehumanizing. These are people who have dedicated their time and energy to the company, not criminals. Treating them like they've done something wrong by having security walk them out is unnecessary and completely disrespectful. Ulta should be ashamed of how it handles terminations. Loyalty clearly means nothing here, and that says a lot about the company's values. Good by GEMA good by Monica Good by all the employees that worked hard for them. I went to get my hair done here about a week and a half ago with Cindy due to a promotion I saw on Instagram. I was really excited because I haven't done anything to my hair in two years no coloring, just haircuts and after 2 1/2 years I was finally ready to change it up. I sent a photo of my inspiration, and a photo of how my hair looked now. They said they could see me that morning and I went in. I first went in with the idea that I was gonna get my hair done at 275 because of the promotion then the Stylist tells me that's for a partial balayage and if I want the full balayage, then it would be 375, but it would blend in better with my hair and give me my overall look that I wanted. It's my first time there and she's the professional so I agree with everything she says. She's really quiet and doesn't really ask any questions. So at some point, it's just kind of awkward enough that I put my headphones in because nothing is really happening which was fine, we didn't have to talk. When she finally blow dried my hair. It wasn't what what I wanted and it was way darker than what I wanted. I told her that I liked it, but that it was too dark for what I wanted. She proceeds to say that she stopped it before the bleach would cause any damage, which I did think it was weird because I have done transformations like this before, and all the other Stylist have been able to give me my desired look and keep my hair healthy. Fine, I pay and I go home. I sent a message to the hair salon later because I really don't like my hair and even though it's nice, it's not what I want at all. So I ask her for an adjustment and she gets me in for the following Tuesday. I go in, I get greeted by the receptionist and she asked the Stylist if I'm going lighter or darker. The Stylist says she's going lighter and then they proceed to talk about me and say they don't understand why she's going lighter that It's gonna change the whole look all while I'm sitting there. So obviously that was awkward, but when she gets to me, she doesn't tell me anything. She does tell me that she has to lighten in my root to get me to my desired look, and that she's gonna lighten up the whole thing. I agree to it because obviously I am not the professional, I'm going to her because I'm assuming she knows what's best for my hair. Long story short I leave with orange hair. She didn't want to blow dry it because she said that was extra. I said OK but I was confused because I would assume that if she just adjusted my hair to what I wanted, she would want to see the final look as well to see if she achieved the overall goal. So I left with my hair wet and when I got home, I dried it, and I automatically hated it. I left with orange hair. I couldn't believe that I paid over $400 just to look like this and cried. I called another Salon and when they saw my hair, they couldn't believe that they let me walk out the door like that. She didn't understand why my hair was so orange, knowing that my root was not going to match it. In the end, I went to get a fix somewhere else and she bleached my hair the way I wanted it and fixed the root color of my hair. I didn't want to write this review but this was my experience and I just wanted to share it.
