Service is so very hit or miss. Today is was the checker Hayli or Kayli who could not muster the courtesy to say hello after I enthusiastically greeted her when I approached her register. For the marked up goods, that is the least they should be REQUIRED to do! read more

The associates AND managers are rude. They act very unprofessional, they look unprofessional. None of the associates had on makeup!!!! How are you going to tell me how to wear my makeup when you look like you just got out of bed and came to work. They act as if you are bothering them when you ask for help even the managers. It's nasty in there and the bathroom is always disgusting. No thank you. I've had it with Ulta. I'll stick with Sephor. read more

I love going to Ulta for the perfume! They always know what kind of scent you are looking for and what fits best for you. The staff is really helpful and is great at what they do. Every time I purchase 2 kinds of perfumes, I get rewards and points to help with me price. If they don't have the perfume I want, they call another Ulta store and see if they have it in stock. read more

Ulta Beauty - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

I collect perfume and makeup like most women collect shoes or bags. While I do love shoes and bags just as much as the next girl I have a few favorites that I tend to stick with unless a special occasion is called for. Perfume and makeup, however is where I really like to explore. Ulta is where I come to play. Makeup Here they carry high end, niche and drugstore brands. There are testers for everything so you won't think something is the right shade of purple eye shadow for your coloring but get home to test it out only to find that you look like you got punched with that particular shade of purple. The testers are there for a reason girls! Try it before you buy it. Who needs a vanity full of unused and unloved pretty makeup? I love that they are always giving great gifts with purchases and definitely take advantage of that when I can. Perfume This is my favorite section of Ulta. I am head over heels obsessed with perfume. I love the bottles, the different fragrances, just every aspect of scent period. From the initial spray to the dry down fragrance you're left with all day. I'm fascinated with what smells great on someone may really stink on someone else. It all comes down to one's body chemistry and that is very interesting to me. I have a signature scent that I've worn for years that gets me compliments almost every time I wear it and although I dabble with other fragrances, this is the one my guy loves and makes me feel like a million dollars so she's numero uno...and lets just say if it were ever discontinued (I hate it when cosmetic companies do that by the way) I'd have an endless supply of it stowed away in a dark perfume armoire under lock and key. There is however, a new beauty who has stolen some attention as of late and I go into Ulta to spritz myself with the tester every so often before I decide if I love it just as much as I think I do. A word to the wise...like makeup don't just dive into a perfume purchase. Court a new perfume like you would a new love, because like I said you might love it in the bottle but once it's on your skin you may not. The top, middle and dry down notes are very important as well. Wear it for a least a day and layer it with your favorite soap or lotion to make sure it's compatible. And guys, if you love a scent chances are your lady will too, so go for it if you're looking for a great gift. Nothing is sexier than your man telling you how good you smell. And if the chemistry isn't right, Ulta has a great return policy. Keep those receipts! read more

I want to thank Shellie in the salon department. Yesterday I came in for my usually hair color retouch up. It was not a good day for me - suffering a serious migraine. Normally I would change my appointment but couldn't due to flight plans days away. On my normal appointments we talk and recap our lives since my last visit. Today however, she knew I needed quite time. When it was time to do the rinsing of my hair Shellie did the most unexpected, she messaged my head for a good 15-20 minutes. I was so moved my this gesture. Sometimes unexpected gestures can make all the difference in the world for someone. She was my angel for the day. The migraine was not as severe when I left the appointment. Thank Shellie for your awesomeness. read more

Staff not helpful at all. First of all they just looked at me like I didn't belong there for whatever reason when I walked in, much less a "hello, can I help you?" Very rude! I tried asking for some advice on a certain item, one worker said "go to the other side of the store" Well on the "other side of the store", I couldn't find anyone who could help me. They were too busy talking bad about some other worker. I walked out and will never be back. read more

I was very excited that Ulta was having a sale on Lancome! I have been using One of their products for the past 15 years and it is quite expensive. I have purchased it from This Ulta location A few times. Today I was running late leaving work. I was trying to make it there to pick up my package which was pre-paid for using the curbside pick up. I called the store and I explained that I would be there at 6:04. I asked if they could wait for me. I was told that they close at six and that they would not wait for me. When I asked if they could please wait I was connected to the shift manager. She told me that since their registers were shut down by corporate at 6:00 They were unable to serve me. I explain to her that my order was pre-paid for and that it already posted to my bank account. She told me I had five days to pick it up. She would not wait one minute past closing to give me my purchase. This is the second time I've had an issue with this location. The first time I brought in a make up palette to match the color. The girl helping me dropped my pallet on the floor and broke it. She did not apologize nor did she offer to replace it. I purchase Lancome Genifique serum and use it every day. This product cost approximately $75 an ounce. I will no longer be purchasing anything from Ulta. As I read the other reviews of this location I realize that it's a normal thing for employees to be rude to the customers. As a business owner I understand how important customer service is. Obviously management does not take this seriously so I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I went in to the store as I've done a thousand times before, nobody even said hello. I got what I wanted by digging for myself, which is fine! Here is where the problem really comes in: the girl at checkout was not interested in doing anything! The customer before had finished and I respectfully waited until she was ready. She was playing with her fingernails and then said "you ready?" Ok. checked out, told her I have points to use, she didn't know how to redeem them, wouldn't get help, and shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't see any points," after I showed her on my app!! I just paid and left. But later at home, I placed an order and what do you know, I redeemed some of my 5,000 points!! She shoudn be at checkout!! read more

I pretty much always get great customer service in this location, but the reason for 3 stars is they are always out of everything. Even the new location is just as bare. I went in for an eye shadow pallet, of course there were none on the shelves. I stopped an employee and asked if they had them, she went to the back and brought one back to me. My question is, how can you sell merchandise if it's in the stockroom? I've had 35+ years in retail management and I've never seen items sell if they're not on the floor. I'd like to know how the manager keeps his/her job. Where is their DM? Someone is dropping the ball in this location. read more

I have walked into this place 5 times now and each time have said, "I will never go back." The employees are rude and completely unnecessary, honestly. You will never receive a greeting when entering and finding someone to help is never going to happen. The employees have no shame rolling their eyes at you and simply walking away. This most recent time I forgot my stance on "never again", i went in on my BIRTHDAY. I wanted to buy the makeup remover cloths which the app said were in stock at the store. I walked in and a large group of employees, I say about 2/3 of them, were standing in a circle talking to each other. Another was PLAYING on HER PHONE. Another was stocking shelves. Obviously, none of these could be bothered to help me find what I needed. I actually stood in the middle of the store, waving my arms around and asked out loud, "can ANYONE help me?" Nope. Not one. So, I grabbed a pack of cotton pads and said, "whatever." When I got to the counter, the woman was beyond rude. She didnt said, "hi." "Did you find everything you were looking for?" None of that. Just took it, rang it up, then looked at the woman next to her and talked about the rain. Then, she called the back to ask if anyone had a freaking umbrella in the store. Mind you, I'm still standing right there and the ONLY acknowledgment of her even knowing I was there was her telling me the total. This is not an isolated incident. This happens EVERY time I go in. I have called to complain and nothing has changed. I will continue to shop at Walgreens and Sephora because the customer service at these places is phenomenal. I'm not sure how ulta xrays in business because this isnt how we do things in Lafayette. read more

I was absolutely shocked how rude every person I spoke with, the first and last time I went to this location. I was planning on spending a lot of money but was totally turned-off so I left, and never went back or go to a different location. They lost a potential loyal customer who loves to shop. read more

They were so dead is was insane and I walked the store 4 times without anybody asking if I needed help. So I finally asked somebody if they carried allure the women asked 3 associates and then says sorry we don't carry that here and walks away. So I didn't get an alternative brand or option for my product nor did I get help finding another product I wanted so I walked out making no purchase. My wallet appreciated it but I did not because it was 25 min drive.. read more

I had a few Christmas gift to return to this Ulta and the staff was very helpful! They went above and beyond to help me out and I appreciate them taking the time to make sure I got the items I wanted. Great staff and a super clean store. Gold stars all around! read more

I went in 10 minutes before close for one item. We were rudely reminded they were about to close in 10 mins and that we needed to make our selections quickly (understandable). I then asked a question real fast about a new line I heard they were about to get in and the worker huffs audibly and then proceeds to say the line isn't carried, and she can't help me (Apparently only online but thats what I was trying to figure out). I quickly grab my mascara and head to checkout. Still 7 minutes left until close. The cashier rolls her eyes as I walk up to the counter, never makes conversation, yet does my payment. I love makeup but I'm taking my business to Sephora. I think management needs to talk to check in on the workers, I've had rude experiences almost everytime I stop in for a new haul. read more

The manager is ALWAYS loud capping, always rude, at least try to help customers and not loud cap in front of everyone! The manager has done this multiple times, and someone should do something about it, I've heard complaints about her from others too, Do no recommend this Ulta!!!!!!! read more

Two stars merely for convenience. This is like the Old Navy of makeup stores. What a mess. They are out of stock on most items. The employees are nothing to celebrate either. The last time I was in there, I was scanning the Urban Decay lipstick when two employees politely said "excuse me". I moved out of the way thinking they just needed to grab something for another customer, but no. They got in front of me so they could discuss the model's nose ring pictured in one of the display ads. They went on and on about it without any regard that I was a paying customer. Not that day. I just walked out without what I needed. Zero sense. read more

Booked a facial and received a call 30 minutes prior to appointment time that there wouldn't be anyone there to do the facial. Guess we will be finding somewhere else to get facials since they don't want any business here. read more

No stars. Every time I go in there they rude. I have to ask about my points. They never have anything stocked and you never get your gifts when you purchase a specific item. I Love Ulta but I hate coming to this one!!! read more

Brow Bar Nightmare! The "Benefit eyebrow arch specialist" who waxed and tinted my brows must have thought I was blind. As soon as I got to my car I saw the hack-job she had done on my face. I looked like a sad, crazy clown. I was very specific when I told her what I wanted and she did just the opposite. When I showed the manager what the "arch expert" had done the manager was also shocked and embarrassed. She spent the next 20 minutes scrubbing the tint off my face with alcohol. An improvement but I still look terrible. She over-waxed between my eyes, leaving an unnatural gap between my brows, which will take months to grow back. The tint looked like a toddler drew on my face with brown markers. How could she let me walk out of her store looking like that and still be able to keep her job? Thankfully the manager stopped everything she was doing to help me scrub off some of the tint and refunded all of my money. read more

Horrible customer service. Ladies do not help you and act as if it is such an inconvenience if you ask where to find something.

NEVER WILL I "Attempt" to shop here again!! Ulta does not carry shades for darkskin women. They passed me around to so many MUA, my head begin to spin. I did not leave with anything due to them having such a hard time finding my shade. The MUA were not helpful. They simply passed me around to the next person they thought would be able to assist me. Sephora was very helpful. read more

Went in to purchase a bag full of stuff. Spent an hour in there and was never offered help. Store was pretty empty and the employees were busy doing their own thing. I had to ask one of the two girls by the registers if one of them would please check me out and got a sarcastic reply. Checked me out without saying a word. Wow. Won't be back considering this is the third time I've had a bad experience here. 3 strikes, you're out. read more

Went in early with only 5 customers in the store and numerous sales clerks. Girl behind register called out "Welcome to Ulta". That was the extent of the help I received, not 1 clerk asked if they could assist me. I left spending $50 but probably would have spent double that. They are missing sales opportunities and lacking in customer service. read more
