I was in desperate need of a fill. I don't live here and the Yelp reviews were strong so I gave the place a try. I had 3 different people working on my nails, no explanation just a switch. That kind of annoyed me. Overall, outside of the switches my nails haven't broken and my fingers aren't infected so I guess a success. I've been coming to this salon for about a year now. Peter usually does a good job and manages his staff well. However, I decided to visit this last Saturday for my first refill on a brand new set that Peter did for me 2-3 weeks ago. From the beginning I could tell that these ladies were doing a horrible job. I asked for my cuticles to be clipped and as you can see from the photos it looks like I clipped them myself. My skin it's all peeled and torn. Additionally, they started peeling acrylic off when clipping my cuticles and when I asked why she was doing that she just ignored me. It looked like she had even started to peel pieces of the tip. When it came time to put the actual acrylic on, they did not cover the full nail and left a separation from my nails and the acrylic. I pointed it out and she fixed one, but almost all my nails had the same issue. I asked that they add more of the powder acrylic. I am going on a business trip this week and I knew that if they just put nail polish over these, they would peel and crack. Nails today are so expensive so I wanted to make sure that they looked nice. When I asked them to add powder, the lady told me that she didn't want to do my nails because I was too picky. I was dumbfounded. All I asked was for her to fix it and she refused. She caused a scene in the salon in front of all of the customers and told me that I can come back another day and have the owner fix it. Which 1. I do not have time to do before my business trip and 2. They wouldn't do anything to fix my nails and forced me to walk out of the salon with these. This is away and by far the most unprofessional thing I have witnessed in a long time. And sadly, I will not be coming back because of it. There are too many nail salons that you can visit to be treated that way as a paying customer. It was rude, unprofessional, and dramatic. Save your money and go somewhere else... read more

My family including myself, my sister, and my mom have been coming to Peter's for years!!!! Absolutely disgusted with the behavior that was shown to my sister today on PETERS OFF DAY which is so sad because they usually have respectful and good workers but not today.. My sister went in for a fill on a set that peter did a few weeks ago and a random girl started doing them since Peter was off. My sister asked for her to fix a part that she was missing and she caused a scene in front of everyone and told my sister "i'm not doing your nails, you won't like how I do them so i'm not wasting my time you can leave". I have never in my life heard of anything like this. As you can see in the pictures, she obviously was being lazy doing the nails as they are clearly messily filed down. As a customer of peter's for the last 4-5 years, we will never ever step foot in here again and recommend y'all find another place to go other than here. This place is amazing! The only reason I give it four stars is because there is always a wait and the waiting room is fairly small. But they always do their very best to get you seated as soon as possible. Today, the day before thanksgiving, there was a small wait but they got me seated quickly adid the job perfectly and DID NOT RUSH! Nothing upsets me more when I pay for a full mani pedi and the nail tech rushes through it because it's packed! She spent her time doing everything correctly and completely! Ive been here before and I know it's a crowded place and they do get you in and out fast BUT the workers talked loud and nonstop (in another language) so much that we could not talk at all. They seemed even annoyed at us! It should be more of a peaceful zen experience but not at all! I wasn't offered a bottle of water as some customers were. One worker even sneezed and coughed in my face! She had a mask but it was down around her neck. We felt like they were even talking about us (I know sounds like a Seinfeld episode) but even if not, it felt very disrespectful to be so loud and so rushing and rude with us. I went with my aunt today and we both got pedicures. I would have given them four stars because my nail tech was a bit rough and impatient with me to move my legs in and out of the bowl. She seemed to rush through me because my aunt and I got the same treatment and her tech started before mine yet I was finished first. I gave 5 because she did a good job painting and my aunts tech seemed to be more gentle. It's a smaller space but it fits at least 10 people for pedi and 8 for manis. Overall a good experience. On my last visit, The workers were very disrespectful and made me feel like I was bothering them and one even stormed off because she couldn't understand what I was asking for. Well, I do not speak their language and shouldn't have to apologize for it! Then the manager came ask me very loudly if I had an issue and I swear everyone, including the customers, stopped to stare at me. Last time, and everytime prior to this last visit, I reviewed peters nails with 5 stars saying he was the best. This time however, it is a much different story. I was getting married last weekend, March 2019, ...and for my bachelorette party all I wanted was for my girls and myself to have a relaxing time... the only place that ever came to mind was Peters. We knew that the place would probably be busy, so we opted to meet there at 3 to get started. So with 5 bridesmaids in tow, we arrived. Of course there was Peter greeting us, and immediately recognized me. He asked what we wanted, told him and we started to get ready for our mani/pedis. I showed peter a photo of what I wanted done for my manicure and he immediately said that they could not do it. I didn't know why, it wasnt an extravagant thing...just white nails with a bit of rosegold glitter polish at the base....but I resigned to look at the different nails they had for options to see what would work. Now, i always get the pearl spa because they work on you a little longer, massage, etc... usually very nice. The woman i had acted like she didn't want to be there at all. I got the pearl massage, but it lasted about as long as a regular one as if she was in an extreme hurry to get ot off there. Im still just trying to focus on my big day the next day, so not wanting to complain. I finally find a rosegold glitter polish and show her that's the one. She told me that it was shellac, which was fine with me. When she started to apply it though, it didn't look right...so i did speak up this time....she and another woman came over and said that it wouldn't look right until it was 3 layers on... so i decided to trust them. It actually came out fine, until i looked a my toes when it came time to put my shoes on...she didn't even cover the whole of my nail with the polish! Too late, ...still wasn't going to complain. Now, being shellac , i knew they had a white shellac, and in between each coat they have to make sure it is dry. So, i asked Peter if i could have the white shellac on my nails, and of course he said yes. So then i pulled out the rose gold glitter polish, and said this is what I want painted as well, for the look i originally came in for.... so if course, immediately started talking in foreign language, so my friend looks at me like they had just insulted the hell out of me, ...and of course, being me I ask her very loudly, " they're talking about me arent they!?"...whole placed hushed ...and then they got started on what i wanted for my nails. After they were done, the looked fine in the light, but as soon as i got out to my truck, it was clear that it was THE WORST JOB I HAVE EVER HAD AT ANY SALON!!!! I took photos immediately, and if i can post them here, i will. That in itself is enough for me not to go back...but what happened next (while still in salon) absolutely sealed the deal with me. A lady came up to my maid of honor before she was done getting her manicure and ask her to pay then! Ive never seen that happen, or even heard of that! Well, im up at the counter now to pay and the woman tells me it will be $110. Im in my wallet, and hand her a $100 bill...while reaching for my credit card for the rest to pay, she throws the $100 bill back at me and says"I said it was $110.00"!!! I have had enough of the attitude at this point, so I throw it back at her, and say I'm paying the rest with my card! I got my receipt, and usually a very generous tipper. Not this time. Now remember, my girls and I are taking it easy As all the hard work is done for the wedding. The next day, one of my bridesmaids had 2 of her nails come completely off on the same hand...luckily I had an emergency kit with me. My maid of honor, that had to pay BEFORE her nails were even finished, had her nail polish chipping and coming off in different places. Again....emergency kit saved MY WEDDING DAY!!!! Peter was sometimes rude to me while he did my nails and he made them wayyyy shorter than I asked for. I came here on my birthday to treat myself and I hate the way my nails came out, they're uneven and all my friends at my party couldn't even tell what shape they were supposed to be (coffin). They didn't even paint all the way to the base of my nail on my toes nor fingers which were done by different people. More than any place I've ever been they want every person to leave satisfied. They do great pedicures from basic to Pearl spa. They have a ton of colors for "the dip" which I sometimes do but I usually do pink and white and Peter is excellent at it. My experience was actually not that great to start. The girl working on my nails did not seem to know what she was doing at all. I wanted acrylic nails with gel polish and my eyebrows waxed. My eyebrows turned out great and my nails did in the end but not at first. The manager had to come fix my nails after the girl messed them up and then they had to fix the polish after the girl messed up. So, I am giving them 5 stars because I was impressed that they were eager to fix them and didn't let me leave unsatisfied. Props to their management! read more

Peter and the ladies at Peter's Nails are always so nice and do a wonderful job. Peter's Nails is the best nail salon in town. I recommend the pearl pedicure with paraffin wax, it is my favorite pedicure with long massage, hot stones and hot towel. I won't go anywhere else! Their manicures are wonderful too with neck and arm massage included. I always get the dip nail polish for my hands it stays on for weeks and always looks great. Had such a great experience!! They were super busy when my mom, my brother and I got there but they got us all in a chair within about 10 mins. I had trouble finding a gel polish to match a regular polish I wanted and the girl who did my pedicure brought me everything close to the right color and helped me find the perfect one. Peter did my nails and did a wonderful job! He did exactly what I asked for and even made me laugh a couple times!! Everyone worked so quickly and efficiently, I never felt rushed or unnoticed. I've heard all the excitement about peter's so I decided to give them a chance. Big mistake. The first time I went the shop was completely full, no open seats, but the wait was not long at all. Once I was seated one lady began my nails, she went mid way and the switched spots with another lady, once i washed my hands and sat back down a different lady was finishing my nails. That was a really big issue for me, I like to have one person work on my nails. The lady who came to finish of my nails was extremely rude. She kept pulling and tugging at my hand, very rude! The next morning I look at my nails and THEY TURNED YELLOW!!!!! my white nails started to turn a yellow brown color. Despite all the issues I had the first time I went back again to change it. The owner insisted on me keeping the white they were going to shave some off and re dip it and add a dip top coat because apparently that's not what they done the first time. Not even 2 days later they were back to turning yellow. I've had it with this shop. They will not be seeing me again!!!!!!! read more
